Before I even moved to Montgomery people were recommending River Paws to me! While interviewing for my job I had multiple people tell me about River Paws and said it was the best place to trust to watch your pet, and they haven't been wrong. I can't go to a dog park in town without someone mentioning River Paws, and have yet to hear anything but glowing reviews. I leave my pup here multiple times a week for daycare, and she's also had a bath and has been boarded here. She's a pretty high maintenance dog, but the staff are always accomodating and she seems to love them all as well as her time there. I also can't get over how affordable River Paws is while still having such great service. I've paid double the price (or more) elsewhere and wouldn't prefer them at all to River Paws. read more

Would of been nice to now about the rate hike up before we checked in not at the end of a stay. Been using River Paws awhile, just not a fan of surprise fees, great customer service great employees but they need to communicate rates went up. read more

Although they gave our baby a good bath he has developed kennel cough 3 days after a 1 night stay. He's being treated but this is the first time this has happened and he is almost 4 years old with multiple boarding stays. Just disappointed. read more

My dog caught kennel cough at River Paws even though he has been recently vaccinated. We called them about it and they said they had not noticed him coughing, which is hard to credit because he is coughing almost nonstop and it's hard to ignore or not notice. They told my wife they had gotten a call from the county that very day about some new strain of Bordetella (kennel cough) going around that wasn't covered by the vaccine, but our vet says they haven't heard anything about that. I'm pretty upset. These things happen but either they did not notice obvious problem, or worse, failed to inform us about it and blatantly lied to us when we asked. That's inexcusable. I know it's not a serious illness but he sounds like he's going to die and he's clearly miserable. My wife said all the animals seemed odd when she picked them up and didn't seem happy to see him. She says our other dog barely even wagged his tail and the cat seemed sad and depressed. My dog was really mopey and didn't even say hi to me when he got home. I personally suspect they knew and were afraid we'd be upset, so I wonder if they gave him cough medicine so he wouldn't be coughing when he was picked up. I don't know for sure but it's honestly the only thing that makes sense to me. It's hard to believe the cough just started magically within an hour of him coming home and he had not manifested any symptoms of it before being picked up. I don't think we'll be taking our animals back to River Paws. We have another booking with them for next month which we are trying to cancel, but we haven't been able to get anyone to answer for several hours now. read more

We have been using River Paws for our two dogs Sunny and Rambo for 3 years now! They are so welcoming and nice, you can tell they truly care about the animals. They are a local business and I would much rather support them than a major corporation. Definitely recommend it! read more

I am giving this establishment one star based on first impressions; being their friendliness. They fail horribly because we left our senior dog in their care for seven nights, and to be sent home with a heavily soiled dog bed. There was no question it was urine, NOT drool as they said. read more

SO so pleased with the work these awesome ladies did! My two bassets have some really tough, long nails that are often not cut very well by groomers. These guys got them as short as they've ever been!! They also came home clean as a whistle and smelling like vanilla blossoms. Their customer service was outstanding.... great attitudes, very responsive, and obviously they love dogs! I will absolutely be a returning customer!! read more

We boarded 3 dogs for Christmas and calling and making an appointment was super easy! The guy that answers the phone is super nice and super helpful. I had lots of questions as this was my first time boarding my dogs and he answered everyone of them very kindly! When we dropped them off they had us fill out paper work and add the dogs vaccines which was super easy and only took a few minutes. The suites looked clean and very nice. The building itself was also very nice and clean. When we picked them up they were bathed and had cute little Christmas bandanas on! The only thing I would recommend is being very specific about which dogs gets what medication because I think there was a mixup which wasn't a big deal because they weren't super vital medications. I really loved that they didn't charge extra for anything like outside time, medication, or extra quirks each dog has ie. gravy on their food. I can't recommend this place enough!!! They were so so so friendly and I will definitely be coming here again for boarding!! One thing to add is that on Apple Maps will take you too the wrong place but if you turn the corner you will see a metal sign that says their name by the street! read more

I don't write that many reviews (I know I should), but I just wanted to commend River Paws on their services, professionalism, and genuine care for my dog. I emailed Brandon (I believe the owner?) last minute about bringing Molly in for daycare and I received a reply very quickly answering my questions. When I dropped her off yesterday, it was very quick, easy, and organized, all with a smile on his face. Upon pickup, Molly seemed happy and that she'd enjoyed playing with new friends. Thank you for taking such good care of my sweet girl and for providing a clean and safe environment for her while I was at work. I highly recommend River Paws for your pet's daycare/boarding needs and if I'm ever back in Montgomery, you'll definitely see us again! read more

Fully trusted them to take care of our precious fur baby. Ours is a large labradoodle and they understood that he is still a puppy even though he looks like a full grown dog. The cameras in the yard allowed me to see him play while I was away. Love the way Brandon interacts with the animals. Highly recommend River Paws Pet Resort for day care, boarding and grooming. This is a great place to bring your pets for daycare. The staff is very kind and attentive. I bring my bulldogs almost every day.
