My bro and I had lunch at their BBQ place, literally on the side attached to the farmers market called, you guessed it; "On The Side Barbeque". The beef brisket sandwich melted in your mouth, it comes with 2 sides of your choice. I ordered mine with collard greens and homemade potato salad. The meal also comes with a can of soda or water bottle and a small bag of chips. It's actually a great value and they have a nice covered open air outdoor area to eat at. Service was great -- they have it down to a science there. Look forward to returning next time I'm in Cashiers!

They had a perfect pack of candles that I HAD to have, and I bought honeycomb for The Granddaughter -- she loves it. The young lady at the counter was so sweet and friendly. The atmosphere was light and happy. This is a great place to shop. If you haven't been here, you MUST go. I could almost say, If they don't have it, you don't need it.

Ever have squash blossom jelly? It's here and it's great. We usually pick up two cases' worth of sun kissed goodies to enjoy during the cold months for a total of $100-$120 or so. Our most recent trip was to attend the Pickle Festival, our second year in a row. It was amazing to have such a variety of vendors, entertainment, and food!! It was crazy busy but the staff were great meeting the needs of everyone as quickly as possible. Nate is quite the entertainer and is so gracious. Families were enjoying the farm, kids were playing, and there were several swings overlooking the river that made for a beautiful place to sit and unwind. The farm offers a great variety of fresh produce, and the strawberry picking was a huge hit with our kids. Their favorite part was being able to snack on strawberries while picking them--an experience they won't forget! We also purchased some boiled peanuts, which were hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. But the real star of the visit was the ice cream. It was hands-down the best part of our day and so good that we're already planning to stop by again before heading back home. Friendly staff, beautiful scenery, great products, and fun for the whole family. We highly recommend Darnell's Farm to anyone visiting the area. 100% recommended!

We were pleasantly surprised by the superb quality of their offerings. Their zucchini and squash were flawlessly presented. They had beautiful strawberries by the bucket. Their frozen meat products were plentiful and they had an array of honeys, jams, and relishes. Ice cream is very much on the menu at the farm whether it be on a cone, cup, or in a shake. The best part was going in the back with my wife where she picked wild flowers (no charge), along with sunflowers (huge). I highly recommend visiting the Johnson Family Farm. We were not expecting much when we got there, but left knowing we would return. I hope this helps.
