Let me start with I will never recommend Tenba winery or copper ridge events to hold a wedding or…read moreevent. We had major problems with our wedding. From them not upholding big parts of the contract to changing what was agreed upon the day of the wedding due to the Kim the owner's mood that day. Threats were made multiple times to cancel the wedding the morning of the wedding. She went on a massive rant on canceling the wedding. Keeping the cleanup deposit. Hiring extra security at our expense.... We were accused of camping at far end of parking lot without permission... we did have permission well ahead of time from the event coordinator Abbey, 2 months ahead of time. Even have emails stating that permission was granted and we spent extra money to have port a potty in that area, over 300 yards from the venue. We did talk with the event coordinator about dress code for staff. We did say causal... the owner Kim wore pajama pants during our whole wedding. Also, making herself front and center of the event. Even choosing to stand directly at the top of the staircase behind the bride as she walked down the aisle...... Upon viewing the site, signing the contract, and setting up the day before. We were told multiple times the a/c would be on if the overhead doors remained closed. Morning of the wedding, after the 4 times being threatened our wedding was being canceled. The owner Kim told us she is refusing to turn on the a/c. We tried to talk with her due to a multiple tier wedding cake being set up. She still refused. This caused the wedding cake to lose form and almost collapse in the 80-degree temps. Part of the owner upset rant was because " you didn't spend any money Friday during set-up". Well, correction between us and the wedding party on food and drinks at the winery was over $200. This was above the $6500 spent for the venue (per contract from Friday at noon to Sunday at noon). I guess that wasn't enough money to speak to people like adults, be professional, and honor contracts. Her husband John, expressed to the Doug the groom. She gets like this. She doesn't take notes and then forgets what was promised. She forgets what is in the contract and changes things the day of. She's had these problems with weddings in the past. The husband expressed sympathy and apologized to the groom only. The next morning her mood toward Saturday was. I won't be charging you extra...... at least you got married, that all that matters. We learned all this treatment was due to couple weeks before our wedding a biker poker run left the winery at the same time as a wedding. Some biker yelled out "don't do it" at the wedding. Now all bikers are rude and out of hand..... please note upon signing the contract months ahead of time it was disclosed the groom is part of an MC. She was happy to take our check and cash it. Even telling us the MC could bring a smoker the venue for cooking. To flip the script that aggressively and HEAVYLY threatened to cancel the wedding the morning of.... unprofessional.

Owners Chris and Sherry were great to chat with and have a great story to tell about how they make their wines. We enjoyed the port a lot, very good Pinot Noir and can't go wrong with the Dimwitted Knave Sangria

Our focus is on producing delicious wines from the best grape juices we can source from around the world. Established in 2013 in Jackson County, Brambleberry moved to 234 N. Leonard Street in West Salem. We’re open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Brambleberry is the Scottish word for blackberry, which was the first wine we made about 40 years ago. We are perhaps best known for producing some of western Wisconsin’s most delicious drier red grape wines, which are our passion. We feature cabernet sauvignon, merlot, pinot noir, corvina, sangiovese, carmenere, malbec, tempranillo and other red blends. We also have lovely white dinner wines — chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio, gewurztraminer, riesling, sweeter riesling blends and a fruit-forward moscato. Our popular sweet — but not TOO sweet — fruit wine blends feature the fruits of raspberry, apple, blueberry, blackberry, cherry, orange, pear, pommegranate, peach, watermelon, mango and a unique tropical citrus blend with coconut. Brambleberry Winery also is a licensed restaurant with a light menu of pizzas, cheese bread, bruschetta and charcuterie-type snack plates for you to enjoy with your wine with some gluten-free options.
