Sooooo it's Essence weekend and I waited until the last minute to book my shuttle. Who knew shuttles could sell out. Anyway it has been a long couple of months so I decided to treat myself to a private car! I am so glad I did! This was such a professional company-from start to finish! I called on my day of arrival and they were able to give me a flat fee quote and set me up with a car. My flight was even delayed and I called them back and they told me no worries they were monitoring flight times. We hired these guys because when I booked the swamp and mansion but they were outside of N.O.and I didn't want to drive and break down, my luck I'd end up as gator bait. We had a fantastic time, the swamp tour was great but we skipped the mansion as it was stupidly hot and they wouldn't let us take a tour untill our time. I was happy to have found this charter company. In a Facebook group about traveling with children, Riverbend was recommended. This was my first time to New Orleans and traveling with a one-year-old. I contacted them through their message area on website and they promptly replied with information about car seats. We decided to bring our own, but they also provide excellent types as long as you install it yourself. We had Bobby pick us up at the hotel and help us with the bags. He was personable and friendly. I called him and he was so kind to talk me through things. The stretch limo that picked us up was beautiful. Better than I expected. It was clean and smelled clean, which is a big deal to me. Our driver, Bob, was amazing. He went above and beyond. His demeanor was one of pleasantry and courtesy. He enjoyed his job. Fantastic limo service. This is a company that I used almost two dozen times last week for C-level executives for transport to/from the airport in New Orleans along with business meetings. There were compliments and great praises for the cars being clean and the drivers professional, although I was the arranger/checkbook and wasn't there in person. Also, working with Lloyd and Melissa was easy and they were really friendly. In addition, I had a long spreadsheet of instructions with a complex itinerary that Lloyd worked through with me. He sent me a PDF confirmation for each service. When we had some last minute changes, they worked with me and said it was no trouble at all. One of the execs left his wallet in the limo by accident and the driver found it. He was happy to return it to the hotel at no charge for the trip. Also, they are reasonably priced. Wow! Riverbend Charters provided UNMATCHED service. We arrived at the airport to find our driver at the top of the stairs with our name written on a sign. We used them for 4 different shuttles to and from the airport. We had a group of 21 women. Our driver took us to a grocery store after leaving the airport so we didn't have to spend too much money downtown. Fantastic! Our decision to use Riverbend Charters to transport the groom's family to various venues in New Orleans was the very best decision we made for our son's March 2014 wedding! We had family members who flew in from California to the Carolinas and everywhere in between, and Riverbend made sure that all of them arrived and departed seamlessly without our having to worry about a thing. We had a group of 9 for a birthday weekend. We rented a 13 passenger van for an airport pickup and an hour city tour. The van was immaculate and roomy. And bonus! This past weekend, I went to New Orleans for a quick weekend getaway trip with the girls. I used Riverbend Charters to get us to and from the airport and the hotel located in the French Quarter. We also booked, through Riverbend Charters, a 3 hour private tour of the city. I made my initial reservation over the phone and I booked the 3hr private tour through their website. Making the reservations online and over the phone was quick and easy. Each time I received an email confirmation confirming the details of my reservation and payment. For each trip we were picked up in a black luxury SUV. The vehicle exterior and interior were immaculate. I received text message notifications regarding the status of my driver for each trip. The 3-hr tour was the best part of our trip to New Orleans, and we all agreed we would never do the "hop-on-hop-off" tour again. LoL! The private tour allowed us to tailor our outing to what interested us and it was so nice to do so from a nicely air-conditioned and comfortable vehicle. Being an avid reader and supporter of local books stores, I wanted to visit New Orleans only Black owned bookstore, do a cemetery tour, visit the various neighborhoods and do a little souvenir shopping. We did a lot during our tour, but we never felt rushed. Our driver, Lloyd, was great! And he must be a certified New Orleans historian, because he KNEW New Orleans history and told us interesting facts about all the places we visited - and we did not plan our itinerary in advance. We also stopped for drinks, which is a must for my group - LoL! Lloyd took us to the cutest bar and made arrangements with the establishment for our arrival. The drinks at Ralph's were fabulous! So, as you can tell, the tour was definitely the highlight of our NOLA trip. And we will definitely rely on Riverbend Charters for our next trip to NOLA! My husband and I just got home from a week in NOLA and from the time I talked to Lloyd on the phone to the thank you message from Melissa when we got home, the process was wonderful. I needed to book transportation from the airport to the hotel and wanted to surprise my husband with a limo ride. He has never been in one and you only live once right, LIVE IT UP! After a sketchy flight and not knowing if we were going to be able to land in NOLA as we were almost diverted to Houston, my husband was a nervous wreck! Lloyd had a no show at the airport and picked up me and my two friends. He gave us his credentials right away so we felt safe and he carried our luggage to his car. His car was incredibly clean, stocked with free water and gum and all kinds of different phone chargers. He took us to our hotel, giving us great suggestions for food and music on the way. After he dropped us off we realized we were at the wrong hotel (our fault, not his). Lloyd came back and took us to the correct hotel at no extra charge. We used him for our return to the airport as well. He was very prompt (15 minutes early even!) and helped a member of our party who had injured himself by getting a wheelchair at the airport for us.
