The care was good and the people nice BUT their billing dept is either incompetent or just too lazy…read moreto correct paperwork. I have BCBS of Florida- PUC kept billing BCBS of Massachusetts, and kept sending me bills because (they said) my insurance didn't cover it. Only PUC is in network with BCBS of Massachusetts, and PUC is in network with BCBS of Florida, and BCBS of Florida covers me nationwide. I verified this with representatives from BCBS, and verified that I was covered at PUC. I paid PUC the amount BCBS said I owed, and then ask PCU to refill with Florida. They filed again with Massachusetts, and billed me again. I wrote again and asked PUC to file with Florida. They filed again with Massachusetts, and billed me again. I call PUC - they are based in Utah. On the phone, PUC Utah said they would refile with BCBS Florida. But they filed again with Massachusetts and sent me another bill. After 4 bills and a threat to send the bill to a collection agency, I am paying the amount that should be covered by my insurance. Just a warning before you accept any medical treatment from this group, make sure you're willing to pay for yourself - because insurance is not honored if their billing department has to do something super-complicated like find the address for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and change the paperwork that's already in the computer to resend it there.

My Primary Care Physician had opined that the rotator cuff might be the problem, and that cortisone might help. Within hours of the procedure, the pain was gone! Yesterday, on March 29, 2026, while visiting my wife in her hospital room, I leapt from my chair to prevent (successfully) a table from falling over and caused excruciating pain in that shoulder. My phone call to N.E. Orthopedics today confirmed my suspicion that it was too soon for a follow-up shot, but I was dismayed to hear that their company might not want me to return. Frankly, I was so shocked to learn that information that I merely hung up without seeking an explanation.

I realized after answering a couple questions that it was an AI receptionist. It said it couldn't help me with the thing I was calling about and offered to transfer me to a receptionist. The 2nd and 3rd time I called I said "speak to a receptionist" as clearly and loudly as I could and ALL 3 TIMES the phone disconnected before I got to anyone. When I finally got through, their next available appointment, despite having a referral from my doctor, was in 2 months. How are they the biggest orthopedic group in the area???

Finally I decided to get them checked out. I went through a few tests at the office. Dr. Wintman told me the tests showed my case was mild. "Mild" I thought? No way! He then assured me that just because the tests show mild does not mean I do not have a worse case. There was no way I could wait any longer dealing with my hands. I planned on only one hand to see if the surgery worked. I was very nervous. The surgery and recovery time are quick and PAINLESS. Out of surgery Dr Wintman told me the carpel tunnel area was extremely tight. Thank goodness I wasn't crazy! I had pain of about a three on a pain scale. No need for medication stronger than ibuprofen. It took about two weeks for a full recovery. I immediately scheduled the other hand. Dr Wintman explained every surgery is different and not to expect the same results. After the second hand, I had zero pain. Dr Wintman said this hand was much tighter inside. This hand actually hurt me less. I was back to work after four days. This hand took longer to recover. The feeling I had was like a slight lagging feeling in my hand. I knew it just needed time and to be rubber out. I am two months out from both surgeries and would do it again!! ( even though I won't have to). I 1000% recommend Dr WIintman and his staff!

I spoke with Tom Rackliffe who stated he would get her medications together for a 5 day visit. I made airfare reservation and reserved a rental car. I spoke to Tom two days prior to my departure to get my mom and asked him to make sure she had her ID with her. He said he would verify and call back, which he never did. While in the airport, changing planes, I received a call from Tom stating I was not allowed to take my mom to visit. I asked why and Tom stated because she has dementia. She had dementia when she visited the last 2 times! He said doctors orders. I asked who the doctor was and Tom said he was away in Mexico on vacation! When I saw my mom, I tearfully had to explain the reason why she could not fly back with me. Robin Therrien, the social worker, stepped into my moms room and asked me to "contain myself" or I would be asked to leave!!! My mom enjoys "staying" here only because she has dementia. She keeps talking about going back home. I would not recommend this nursing home. The staff is "ok", but tthe management is horrible. I lost out on airfare and rental car, plus parking! And for the social worker to say that to me was horrible.
