My experience at the salon was excellent outside of the original issue which has now been resolved and I will return! Thank you Titi!! original: I'm really disappointed with my experience here. My mom purchased a $100 gift card for me last June and was only given a receipt--no physical card. When I came in to use it, I was told they could not honor it without the plastic card, even though the receipt clearly shows the purchase. I spoke with staff and asked if they could look up the transaction or reissue the card, since it had to be activated at the time of purchase. Unfortunately, they refused to help or offer any solution. I understand businesses have policies, but this situation appears to be an error on their end, and there was no effort to resolve it. I essentially lost $100 because of this. I would recommend double-checking that you receive a physical gift card if you purchase one here, because the receipt alone may not be honored.

I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who is diagnosed with breast cancer and needs to undergo a mastectomy. The fitters at this store truly know what they are doing and also understand what insurance will cover. My mom and I visited here based on the recommendation of a family friend. I called ahead of time to inquire about making an appointment for a fitting for post-mastectomy bras and a prosthesis. The woman with whom I spoke was very kind, quickly explained the process and indicated that she needed to get the orders from my mother's doctor which should take a day or two and once they had that, she would call to move forward with scheduling an appointment. She requested some personal information on my mother as well as her insurance. I appreciated that she was well versed in what Medicare would cover. A few days later, the store contacted me to let know they had the orders, and we scheduled an appointment. The boutique doesn't look like much from outside but the inside and the people are completely amazing. We arrived a little early for our appointment and they were able to take us right back. Sandra was our fitter and we just loved her personality and attitude and she made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. The fitting room is cozy but they have such a plethora of bras, colors and prosthesis options. My mother had previously worked with the Seasons boutique at the Alan B Pearson Cancer Center to obtain two bras and a prosthesis but has been disappointed with what she purchased from there. The bras available at Absolute Perfection Bra-tique are practical, beautiful and are exactly what my mother needed following her single mastectomy. Even the prosthesis options were lighter and more comfortable. On our initial visit we walked out with a bra, a prosthesis just for swimming and exercise, a specially designed swimsuit and a headscarf. The prosthesis and 5 more bras are on order and the store will ship them directly to my mother's home address. The store indicated that they would file the bras and two prostheses with her insurance and my mother would not receive a bill.

I picked up a copy of the soundtrack to the Graduate, which still had the original wrapper and sticker attached for $4.49. Not bad for $5 today. Being a college heavy area, there is something for everyone here. And on Friday nights they have a regular Salsa Dance Night.
