I must admit I have some bias towards the building since I live there. I had lived downtown about 11 years before I bought a place, I was not going to leave downtwon, so was waiting for an acceptable place before I bought something. I was looking forward bigger building with some of the admenties a larger building has. Mainly, some of the admenties that an apartment building has. I order online a fair amount and like having someone at the front door who can accept packages for me. Widmer cleaners stop by our building each workday and you can get a bag from them and put your dry cleaning bag on the outside of your door and 3 days later if will reappear cleanned downstairs. The night personnel will pick it up from your door. Other people I know downtown refer to Park Place as the downtown suburbs, I understand the comparison, being on 5th street it is still in the heart of downtown, but this area is very quiet compared to the rest of downtown. Also you do not have any other condos/apartmetns directly across from your windows. Another great thing about the building is that it is a very social building. Our Condo owners association even has a social committee. I gained another appreciation of this building when I went on vacation this year with some friends of mine who live in a large condo building in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, they had to get friends of their outside their building to take care of their plants, while they were gone.. I was able to get my next door neighbour to do it and if she had not been available, there was other people in my building who I could have asked.

I wrote, called and even stopped down to the rental office. My concerns weren't taken serious. It felt I was being labeled as the problem; but, as a tenant I expected a quiet apartment especially after the 10pm quiet hours. The 'Courtesy Officer' on some occasion said he didn't hear anything, some times asked me to go speak to her -- the final straw and thankfully my last weekend living in the apartment I had family over for the holiday and were enjoying a dinner and it was interrupted by a full party of about 30 - 40 people in the apartment above. So, at this point I called the cops. This was after the Security Guard came down and said yes they are having a party and she said it will be over at midnight. Lol. Completely disregarding the 10pm quiet hours. My family ended up having to leave and I waited for the police. Thankfully, the police responded and the party ended at midnight. There is no doubt if I hadnt called the cops, they wouldve continued much later. I have never been in this type of scenario and was so glad that that was my final weekend in the apartment. I moved out 3 months early and paid two rent for two apartments because the neighbor above was loud and its clear at this point the rental office isnt going to address it. As a tenant that is quiet, pays on time and clean -- I expected my concerns to be taken seriously. The apartments are beautiful, but walls are thin and it will be a NIGHTMARE if you end up with a loud neighbor. On the day of my move out, the rental manager followed the movers and myself as I moved out and watched as we moved boxes from my apartment to the truck. I had to ask him to leave as there was no reason for him to be there. He was making an already stressful day worse. This isnt a normal practice and when I moved in, he nor any of the other leasing people did this. So awkward and weird, maybe he thought I would damage the elevator or steal the hallway decoration. There are so many examples of disperity in treatment among tenants. But a final one ill mention is about a month after moving in I had ONE living room chair being delivered. The movers were stopped and told they had to go to the back. Fine. But, months later a lady moved a an entire bedroom set, mattress and several other items through the front door and she wasnt treated like I was. I stood there and watch not one person in the office stopped her or ask her movers to go to the back. Worse apartment experience ever and so thankful to be away. If you decided to risk it and move here take lots of moving in pics (pay special attention to the carpets they may try to pass that expense to you) and you may need to call the cops on loud neighbors -- because the rental office may not address it for certain tenants. All tenants should have a right to a quiet home.

It was beautifully decorated and had a great view from a smallish deck. Although it had two bedrooms, the living space was rather limited and we decided too close for comfort for us. Located on the border of the Licking Riverside Historic District, the 1880s-style architecture blends in with the the legendary community of Covington's heyday. The Historic District is lined with trees, small green spaces, and a mix of Italianate, French Empire, and Victorian-era buildings. These apartments have been newly erected, and as such, boast modern interiors. You won't find exposed bricks or lofty ceilings here. Roebling Row caters to the traditional box-style apartment with a spacious great room, bedrooms with large closets, and laundry in every unit. Some even come with balconies that overlook the beautiful Cincinnati skyline and Roebling Suspension Bridge. Parking is somewhat of a problem. There is a small lot for residents in the rear of the building, but its filled by early evening. Across the street is metered parking which is free between 5:00pm and 9:00am. This is fine if you work first shift, but you could find yourself moving your car around if you're on a different schedule. Amenities include a fitness center, sundeck, and storage on every floor. There are also some swanky perks like an ice maker on the fridge, a built-in microwave, two car garages, and organic produce delivery. During the summer, a farmer's market sets up shop on the weekends right around the corner. Roebling Row is also right across the street from some delicious local pubs like Keystone, Blinkers, and Molly Malone's. All of this, of course, comes with a price tag. I've lived at Roebling Row since July 2010, and I honestly can't think of a location that offers…read morebetter bang for the buck than this place,provided you can jibe with a few of things I've listed below. #1: The most affordable units are the 2 bed/2 bath apartments. Split the approximately $1300/mo in rent and you've got yourself a location that's walking distance from Mainstrasse, the Licking River Historic District, The Banks, Paul Brown, Great American Ballpark, Sawyer Point, and the rest of Downtown. #2: Parking can be a bit rough at times. The positive here is that RR offers free off-street parking in the private lot behind the building. The negative is that the lot is often filled up by 8pm. Plenty of free off-street parking is available between 5pm and 9am. #3: While the exterior of the building may look cool and contemporary, the interiors of the units are your standard-fare apartments, replete with beige carpet and white walls. It's not a bad thing, just think of it as a blank canvas with which to work with. #4: The general age of the residents is closer to 145 than to 25. I wish I were exaggerating, but yeesh, there is definitely a lack of people my age in this building. Then again, maybe they're just avoiding me. #5: The staff and maintenance are 98% excellent. I haven't had any personal complaints about them, but I've heard a few stories from other residents. Nothing big, just small stuff. If you've got a roommate, I can't recommend this place enough, especially with the potential to have the Roebling Bridge, Ascent, and the upcoming Riverfront Park just outside your door!

It's in a quiet part of the central business district but only a couple of blocks away from all the action if you want it. Living here during Oktoberfest and Taste of Cincinnati is basically the best thing imaginable. Don't feel like using a portable toilet? Just quickly go home. It's just one street down from the party! You can access the Skywalk relatively quickly after being outside for merely a block and a half on super cold or rainy days, there's a cheap parking lot right next to it that your suburb friends can park in if they want to come down and not feed a meter, and you can easily walk to the park and river within minutes. The staff are amazing. Michele, the landlord, is always very helpful and responds to my emails for maintenance orders or general questions within the hour when I contact her. The guy in charge of maintenance, Steve, is super nice and talks to me whenever I see him and always fixes any issues I have. Val, the lady in charge of keeping the building fresh as clean does a fantastic job and is so incredibly nice whenever I see her. Other pluses: new, comfortable lounge with wifi and full kitchen and free coffee and cable, security at night, brilliant southern views if you're on that side of the building, and a nice workout room. In summary, this place is awesome and I love it here. I recommend it to anyone interested in living in the CBD.

Brand new, freshly remodeled, granite counter tops throughout, stainless steel appliances, washer and dry IN UNIT, custom walk in closet! This place is awesome. Yeah it was a little bit on the small side but for one person it was perfect. Located right across from Western and Southern and P&G it's a great place. Two blocks from Great American Ball Park and US Bank Arena. Nothing beats walking out your front door, walking a block and getting cheap cheap tickets to all the major sporting events. Within walking distance to the Banks, Fountain Square, and OTR. Lytle Park is less than a block away. Easy on and off to the expressways. If I had to do it over again I would choose Lytle Tower 10 out of 10 times. Other good thing is their excellent ancillary staff. Steve, the jack of all trades, is always willing to help out even if it's not in his job description. There's security at the front door every night and I feel like I'm at my grandma's because the cleaning lady keeps this place spotless.

Wowzer. What a great place to live!…read more Centrally located right in the Central Business District this apartment complex is the perfect location! It's nestled right by a little park and has tons of great local resto's and coffee shops nearby. The entrance is very safe and has a call only unlock method for visitors, which is great and a security guard is on staff at all times. The lobby is sup clean and tidy as is the rest of the building. Especially for being so old I was surprised at what great shape its in. Now for the creme dela creme... the rooftop pool. This is enough to make anyone want to move here. Again surrounded by skyscrapers is pretty neat to be sitting pretty on a rooftop desk soaking up some sun. Again, the space is super clean! All of the lounge chairs are in very good condition and the pool is kept very clean. There is even a fountain and a little grill our area separate from the pool with patio tables. This made me so jealous!! But the thing that I thought brought it all home--the landscaping. This must have cost a fortune! There are beautiful drapes of greenery all over the rooftop. From bushes and ivy, to beautiful flowers of every color. They really do a great job here and I was super impressed and jealous. Downtowners if you are looking to rent, get on this waiting list!

I moved here from out west without having any knowledge of the area or what to expect. Arielle and the Management Team were so helpful in getting me into a new place and recommending great places to meet people. The Gramercy was a great place to meet friends and even better place location wise to meet people in the area. I always look at reviews of new places before I move because I have lived in apartments that did not have a good or responsive management team. You will find that the team at The Gramercy is so responsive and is constantly looking for ways to help you enjoy your home/living experience. When I sent in my notification that I was moving, I received a call from Arielle asking about my move. She found out that I had to move for work and extended my agreed rent rate so that I would not have to pay month to month rates. The Gramercy did this not because they had to, and not because it would benefit them... they did this because they are a great team that cares about their tenants. If you are looking for a new place to call home in the downtown area of Cincinnati - look no more because this is the best option!

With high exposed ceilings, industrial concrete pillars, and countless gigantic windows, you can feel the hustle-and-bustle of Cincinnati's heyday in your living room. Some of the stories that surround the building include Mrs. Potter's Hygienic Supply Co., which manufactured some of the first brunette hair dye called "Walnut Tint Hair Stain" in 1903. The ground floor was once home to Dow Drugs in 1890, the first drug store in Cincinnati to add a soda fountain, along with perfume, cosmetic, and tobacco departments. It was managed by a young woman, age 22, who graduated second in her all-male class at pharmaceutical college. Groton Lofts is a seven story building, with the first floor occupied by the Blue Wisp Jazz Club. Live music is audible in the second floor apartments, with the performance space being located under units 201 - 204. Blue Wisp is courteous though, with music ending around 10:00 on most weeknights and by midnight on weekends. Plus, it's smooth jazz tunes, nothing boisterous. It's actually enjoyable to listen to while waiting on the elevator in the lobby. The apartments themselves are very spacious, with gigantic open living rooms, and open kitchen with hardwood, basement storage spaces, secure access, and coin laundry on every floor. Units are available in one and two bedroom models. A secure parking garage is across the street for $71.00 per month. Groton residents also have access to amenities at adjacent apartments, like the fitness center at Shillito Place and the rooftop pool at The Gramercy. While the layout is incredibly roomy, historic, and offers a gorgeous view of Cincinnati and Piatt Park, there are a few downsides to Groton. - Due to the exposed ceiling, the bedrooms have full walls and an open ceiling. If you have a roommate in a two bedroom, you can hear everything from music, to doors shutting, to washing dishes in the kitchen. If you room with a light sleeper, this could be a problem. - The large, historic windows are amazing, but only half of them actually open. Two windows out of six in the living room open, as does one of the two in a second bedroom. None of the windows in the master bedroom open; they're all bolted shut from the outside. - Cooling costs get exorbitant on the top floor during the summer. Expect upwards of $300.00 bills from Duke Energy during July and August. Maintenance is on top of the game, responding to requests within one day, on-call for emergencies, and will help fix anything from a broken stove to installing a curtain rod. They even deliver any UPS packages that arrive while you're out. Management is very friendly as well: quick to respond to any problems, organizes community activities, makes sure the common areas are safe and clean, and most importantly, goes to great lengths to make sure incoming residents transition easily into their new home. Filled with turn-of-the-century architecture, tons of natural light, and a luxuriously large living room, Groton Lofts continues its tradition of attracting artistic minds to Downtown Cincinnati. I had top of the line accommodations (former unit of a Bengals QB) with a private balcony. Things went down from there. Trash compacter broke and I spent a year hauling my garbage down an elevator and across a parking lot to the dumpster (usually overflowing) Finally fixed. But halls and elevators got dirtier, trash rooms were downright gross, and they had trouble keeping maintenance men. It's expensive to live here, and experience doesn't track with that. Finally, some yahoo upstairs from me decided to fix his own toilet. Water ran thru my ceiling for hours, causing me to slip and fall and break my wrist. I was out of my unit for 5 days. My insurance paid for my hotel. When it was time to return I asked then to clean my unit to the way it was before the damage and was told no. It was up to me to do that. With a broken wrist. I also asked for the 5 days to be deducted from my rent. Nope. They did have my unit mold tested...immediately. Mold doesn't form that quickly. I was done. Did I mention dogs are allowed, and several times weekly the elevator is full of dog urine. And owners walk their dogs across the street to a grass strip, allow them to poo and don't clean it up. It's gross. The management team was fine, it was from the owners that tied their hands. This place needs help.

AC and ice maker not working upon move in. AC broke 3 times in 15 months. Ice maker twice. Dishwasher, disposal, microwave all broke. Walls and ceilings are paper thin. I could hear a cough or a dog bark. The garage is open and not at all secure. Dog park is ok but trash was full often and no bags. Per other reviews they were supposed to be upgraded for years and even we were told this. Never was. Community room was down the hall and they had one community event once in 15 months. Managers changed at least 3 times. Susan is nice but honestly was ornamental. No one ever actually walked the property to check on things. Maintenance guys changed every couple months. Sometimes we didn't have one and they'd bring someone from out of town to help. For a few dollars more you can live close by with a pool, a community, better Maintenance and a real view.
