This is a lengthy but important review. Having lived in many places across Canada and the U.S.,…read moreI've been under the care of numerous providers. Alluvion is the first clinic where I've had a truly negative experience. When I was younger and had limited means, this organization operated as the City-County Health Department/Community Health Care Center. At that time, the staff were caring and considerate. Since transitioning away from the county, however, that environment has changed significantly. After my physician (a compassionate and capable woman) moved out of state, my care was transferred to a nurse practitioner. She decided to discontinue several of my long-term mental health medications abruptly--medications that should have been tapered, including some that should never be stopped suddenly. These prescriptions had kept me stable and functioning well for over a decade. When I expressed concern about stopping them and explained that I felt my life beginning to unravel, I was dismissed and told to defer to her judgment without discussion. I requested a different provider and was given another woman. While initially pleasant, the interaction quickly followed the same pattern--little interest in my perspective or medical history. When I asked whether my records had been reviewed and offered to have them sent over, this was ignored. My diagnoses and concerns were treated as irrelevant. The situation escalated when the clinic director entered and took a confrontational tone. At that point, it became clear this was not an isolated issue with one or two providers, but reflective of a broader shift in the clinic's approach. Although I was frustrated, I was not belligerent. I apologized if I had offended anyone, explaining that I was experiencing severe anxiety and withdrawal effects after being taken off long-term medication. Despite this, I was told to leave. I was never provided a formal discharge notice, either in person or by mail, which is a legal requirement. I again attempted to explain that I was not trying to argue but was struggling with abrupt medication changes. No matter. Additionally, without notice, I was removed from the sliding scale payment program and charged significantly higher fees, which they allowed to accrue, all of which I paid. Since this took place, I have received care at Benefis, where my experience has been consistently positive. While I am not given free rein in my care (& I've never expected to be given such), the providers are respectful, communicative, and genuinely attentive. I have heard many similar accounts from others who previously had positive experiences before the transition to Alluvion. For additional context, the organization has faced other issues, including a reported significant debt to the county: https://www.greatfallstribune.com/story/news/2019/11/12/cascade-county-says-not-profit-took-over-clinic-owes-480-900/2581244001/ If you have access to other healthcare options, I would strongly encourage you to consider them. In my experience, asking questions or expressing concerns at Alluvion led to being treated with suspicion rather than respect, despite the fact that patients should be active participants in their own care. Thank you for your time.

I have received abhorrent treatment at Amy Ameline's dental office. Months ago, I scheduled an…read moreappointment because one of my teeth had broken. By the time I could get in a second tooth had also broken. I should have walked the second she suggested pulling my teeth as an option. I'm in my 40's. Why on Earth would I want any teeth pulled?! Foolishly, I stayed and followed her suggestion of, "Waiting for the rest of the teeth to break off," to do crowns. Fast forward a few months and one of the teeth has broken off more and is jagged and cutting my tongue. I made another appointment and at said appointment, Amy looked me over and said she'd get me in to do a crown. The problem arises when she schedules me out for 2 months. During those two months, the tooth breaks off completely and I'm in agony. I called for an emergency appointment. The receptionist called and left a message saying they had a cancellation and can get me in the next morning. I call back leave a message, as no one ever answers the phone here, and say I'll take the spot. I request a call back to ensure I have the slot. I received no callback and arrived the next morning only to have the receptionist tell me they filled the spot with someone else and that she had "just now called and left a message". I was sent away. Defeated and in pain, I go home and wait for my emergency appointment on Friday. At that appointment, Amy said that my tooth now needs a root canal because the nerve is exposed. I can't help but feel that if she'd gotten me in sooner this wouldn't have occurred. Worse, Amy can't do the root canal. She sent me home that Friday with 10 pain pills and said she'd contact her endodontics guy on Monday and be in touch. I suffered all weekend long. The pain pills lasted until mid-Saturday (taking 1 every 4 hrs). Not only did I have to deal with the added expense of a crown and the excruciating pain of waiting, but I also had to miss 3 days of work because of the pain (I work weekends)! On Monday, the Endodontics guy called and got me in quickly. I got a root canal and a temporary crown and have a follow-up appointment with Amy for a permanent crown. That appointment was scheduled for June 4 at 8:30a. On June 3 at 3pm, I called Amy's office and left a message--her office has this new trend of never answering the telephone, EVER! I leave a message requesting a call back to verify my appointment for the following morning. I don't want a repeat of being turned away. This morning on June 4, I arrived for my crown appointment 15 minutes early. At reception, I am told that I am not on the schedule?! Again, the receptionist says, "I was just about to call you back". She says they have no appointment for me, so I hand her the appointment card--it's their business card that THEY fill out when you get an appointment showing the date and time. She looks it over, grabs my chart, and tells me that it "just didn't get scheduled" and asks if I had previously called to reschedule it. I did not. She then asks if I wish to get a new appointment on the schedule. No. No, I do not! When I showed up for my initial appointment in April with my broken tooth, I went in as soon as it happened to get it fixed ASAP to avoid having it get worse and having to endure excruciating pain. But that's exactly what I got! I was unheard and unimportant. I was pushed to the back burner and repeatedly showed up for appointments and then sent away because this office is incompetent. I was in agony because Amy was indifferent. I endured an additional $1700 root canal because this office pushed my care back too far. Today was the last straw. After months of sub-standard care, I not only do not recommend this dentist, but I also highly recommend that if you don't want to be ignored and swept aside that you avoid her office at all costs. You'd have to be a sadist to want to endure the added costs and physical agony that come with receiving "care" here. I believe that she's overloaded with patients so instead of giving good medical care to some, she's giving shitty medical care to many. Buyer beware!

Come time for my appointment dr Spencer decided to try and pull out my crown with his fingers without saying anything first then appeared surprised and unhappy that that action startled and scared me, he continued to explain to us that he didn't have time and we needed to schedule another appointment. We scheduled that appointment as a consultation and had been there for maybe 10 minutes at most. I asked for him to look at my teeth instead of repeatedly explaining trust because the time it took him to talk would be enough to glance at my teeth which is all I was asking. When he would not look at my teeth in the appointment scheduled for him to look at and do a consult for my teeth We decided to leave and not return as he made it clear verballyand in actions he couldn't or would not help. This appointment caused further trauma and was extremely unprofessional. However his dental assistant was lovely and kind I wish her the best in her career.

With Wisconsin being my home, a random dentist office in northeast Montana wouldnt usually be my first choice. After the interaction I had though- I certainly would make it first. After calling numerous dental offices to inquire about a tooth extraction, this office was the first to help that offered Care Credit. Not being totally sure where I was going to be, but hopeful on location, I ended up scheduling an appointment here. They were ON IT with trying to get me in ASAP, aiming to get the situation dealt with same day, same time (meaning new patient visit, x-ray and extraction). The woman who helped me was SO KIND and SO COMPASSIONATE. I wish I remembered her name. This place is as solid as can be in the type of world we live in today. While I ended up not actually making it to the appointment due to several, spontaneous factors, this place far supersedes dental offices even close to my area. This place definitely deserves the glowing reviews. If I ever am in the area and need emergency dental work, this will be the place I go. You guys made a poopy situation easy to deal with. While service wasn't on my side this time, yours certainly was. Thank you so much for everything you do.
