With all the bs that's been happening in the US, it was high time I got myself familiar with gun safety and basics. My sister, who's quite the enthusiast, took me to RMR to get a lesson in basics and to, maybe, have some fun shooting at targets. Well, long story short, it was overwhelming ('cause loud noises lol), but I actually had a great time. I worked with Alex, who's a super friendly dude and such an awesome teacher. This is my third time coming into Riverside Magnum and I actually stopped coming here after my second visit because I preferred going to Riverside Indoor which is about a mile or less away. This day, I wanted to take my dad on a boys day for his bday and Riverside indoor was closed due to it being Easter so we decided on coming into Riverside Magnum. I can say this experience was so much better than previous visits simply because of Mike at the front desk. Super helpful and very funny. I appreciate people like Mike who put out positive vibes and actually seem to enjoy their job. The range itself is ok. It's not the newest. Had a pretty long wait when we went at 1pm on a Saturday but I guess that's expected. Fortunately they got our phone number so we could go eat and called us when we were up. The staff was super helpful and respectful even though my wife and I are relatively new to shooting. They gave us a basic firearms handling test before we could rent our glock and gave us a couple tips. We ended up having issues with the glock and the staff walked out, immediately saw the issue, explained to us what was going on, and got us a s&w. Had such a good time we had to buy another box of ammo! read more

I've been coming here for more than 6 yrs and it has only gotten better. They have many firearms options to rent from. They have plenty of paper targets to purchase, as well as reloads and new rounds. You can also purchase mags for certain guns, lowers, and other parts as well. It does get busy on the weekends and sometimes you have to wait until a lane opens up. But for the most part, weekday mornings work best for me. The staff is great and very knowledgeable. read more

I've been coming to this indoor range for some years now. First time I taught my wife to shoot was here and the experience shooting here has never changed. We've tried other places but always end up coming back here when we want to do some indoor shooting. Coming into the range with your weapons and ammo and get a very warm and welcoming greeting isn't a norm when you try other ranges. The moment they see you have your own weapons and ammo they see you won't spend much money and lose interest in you fast.. NOT HERE! Always a warm welcome no matter how much you walk in with. We usually buy targets and get two lanes so we can shoot at the same time. They let us borrow ears and eyes at no extra charge. They check your ammo to make sure you don't have steel case ammo. And then they let you shoot as long as you want as long as there isn't a line of people waiting so we usually go when it's slower. They do have half off on Thursday I believe. The guys behind the counter are very knowledgeable, and with great customer service, these guys are hilarious when you start to joke around with them. Atmosphere here is great the moment you walk in. Range is clean, the range master is also very knowledgeable, Marine veteran, very helpful with tips and overall firearm knowledge. Although it's a bit warmer in there it's not uncomfortable. If you have a problem with a firearm they will help you out clearing it or even taking a weapon apart if it needs further inspection. They have a frequent visitor card and stamp you every time you're there for future discounts. They sell weapons there, ammo, and other neat gear. No doubt 5 star rating here with these professionals.. I look forward to my next visit as soon as I step out. read more

I'm a fairly new shooter and met a friend here to zero my new optic. Upon reassembly of my slide, I couldn't insert the extractor plunger. Alex of RMR, took a look at my slide and instantly figured out what was wrong (one of the mounting screws was a tad too long). He remedied it on the spot and told me exactly how to fix it longterm once I was home. He saved mine and my friend's visit! About the range, it's not fancy but it's clean and the guys are friendly and pretty funny--their humor made me feel welcome, especially as a new guy. They weren't busy so we got our own lanes. Target hangers worked fine. The range fees are great--it's nice to use money for ammo instead. Lots of parking in the lot, but since they are in the back corner, you may have to walk a little bit. I recommend you visit and "put a few downrange". read more

This was my first time at an indoor gun range. My boyfriend agreed on the 5 star rating. What brought us to this particular range was because I wanted to shoot a shotgun. We were able to rent their Remington 870 for $15, and purchase ammo. 6 rounds of 12 gauge buckshot for $6. The guy who helped us was very helpful and informative. He asked if it was our first time there. Once we told him yes, he was very clear on prices and rules. He explained to us exactly how to load and fire the shotgun. He answered questions and showed us where everything was from targets to snacks. Once we picked out our targets, which they have a wide variety to chose from, the guy asked if we had proper ear and eye protection. We had our own ear plugs and he gave us clear eye wear to use and pointed us in the direction to the range and instructed us to put everything on before entering the second set of doors. Great place to go shooting if you're just starting out. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and nice. The gun rental prices are great as well! For about $100 I was able to rent and shoot a Glock 19, Smith & Wesson 617 Revolver, and the Smith & Wesson M&P15 Semi-automatic Assault Rifle. Planning on coming back again to rent out the .44 Magnum Revolver when they have that ammo back in stock. read more
