Upon entering the shop, it was very clean, modern and inviting. I was greeted by all the employees and they were all friendly and inviting. They had a large selection of firearms stocked in their showroom. The range was very sleek and clean as well. It was very well ventilated and the lighting ambience was a nice touch with the ability to control the lighting in your lane. Iron Mike's range is the most technologically packed range I've been to. The amount of features included in each lane is state of the art which is worth the range fee if you're utilizing them all. Girls night out at the new indoor range. We decided to blow off some steam from our long week. This location is nice and clean, staff friendly and very helpful. Located in Yorba Linda right by my house. They offer rentals, I chose the staccato which is $50 an hour, and you have to buy their ammo, which was understandable. I like that the staff gave us an overview of the range policy and how to use the system they have in the bay. Targets only go to 12 yards and you're only allowed a 1 hour max range time then you'd get charge for the next hour. They don't do half hours here. Overall, it's a clean and beautiful setting. Great for dates, groups and or just alone time. Membership is $880 for the whole year if you're an avid shooter. I'll be back. read more

Got to pay to play. I would recommend this range to someone who is new to this hobby in hopes someone like Chris helps you. Well I guess this is not for serious shooters that want to train. (But pro prices) I got a 1 month membership. Who shoots 12 yards??? Secondly, don't come up to me and tell me I'm not qualified to shoot inside the waistband and then I tell you I have a CCW and then the only thing you can think of is that I don't have a one year membership, but only a temporary membership and that makes me "not qualified" lol also I see some reviews about range ventilation and I can confirm there was none maybe some days it works but today it definitely wasn't working and they also decided to put everyone right next to each other (small rounds and large caliber rounds) So basically if you want to shoot the right way, you need to deal with all this crap, be indoors, not practice correctly, and you need to pay thousands of dollars if you wanna practice for real (just shooting from your waistband) if you want to shoot as THEY advertised you need a year membership. Took my extra 500 rounds and my targets I bought from there and will use them somewhere I can actually practice ( only used 40 min of my time) Raahauges is one of the best ranges. I heard the owner talks crap on them which might just be him projecting cause mikes looks pretty slow in there...and to still group us all next to each other crazy! -btw guest passes mean you basically pay to split your time in half because they just put you in the same bay and only one person can shoot at a time. Also appalled how un safe it was in there. I'd rather be up the street (or BLM) in the shaded outdoors, running drills, swapping mags, shooting from any of my holsters or bags, 40 yard bay, more time, not limited friends or family and just able to hang out and have a . So go ahead look up my name cancel my membership and why don't you respond to this with who your actual target market is because it's not pros and if definitely not family or friends but you got pro prices. I have been wanting to try this place for sometime. My friend asked me to help him out and take all the ladies who work for his wife shooting. As they had varying levels of experience, we brought several guns from .22 to 9mm and even a shot gun. There was 7 shooters and the staff was amazing. Super helpful. Nolan was the range master and did a great job helping me with safety briefings and keeping everything organized. Maintaining 3 lanes and teaching several people at once gets busy, but the staff there made it easy!! The facility is amazing. So clean, modern, and everything is top notch!! First time we stopped by it was 8:01 pm. They were closed. We could see someone at the counter. We thought they might stop and talk with us. But they were closed so we moved on. Second time we stopped in a nice guy greeted us and us and talked a little about what we were looking for. We said interested in gun lessons and purchasing a weapon. He said the guy who set up appointments wasn't there, and he could give us his business card. I had a wonderful visit to Iron Mikes. I have been to other ranges in the IE / OC area and this is by far the cleanest and fanciest. The range only goes to about 12 yards. Perfect for pistol shooters. The staff offered great service and went over all the rules before showing me to my lane. Check in was quick and smooth. The lanes themselves are fairly wide and outfitted very nice. Digital target system with preset distances was easy and quick to use. The range itself is dark but each lane is more than adequately lit. The RSO walking around was nice and made sure people were abiding by the rules. Cost was $35 for the hour and the targets were $2-4 each. Great they allow you to bring your own ammo. Read some reviews stating there were rude staff members, but I didn't find that at all. - Lots of choices for firearms for rent. - Unique targets to choose from (i.e. 3D cardboard cutout of an upper torso). - Firing lanes are 21st century. - They offer first responder / military discounts! The range features they have are amazing unlike any other indoor ranges, super cool especially if you want a little more shooting challenge. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable that makes this place a bigger plus. The GM Khoi was very patient and assisted me on putting an order for a dream pistol, can't thank him enough for it! This was actually the first time in my entire life that I felt unsafe at an indoor range due to the behavior of the STAFF. Me and my whole party were appalled and greatly disappointed by what we saw that night. First, the good: The facilities are nice and high tech. The lighting effects inside the range are good and the touch screen controls are easy and intuitive. Their gun shop inside is very modern looking with some interesting items for sale that you wouldn't find at places like a Turners or other ranges. What I felt was bad mostly revolves around the staff. So here's exactly what I saw. While me and a group of friends were shooting, we saw some of the staff came into the range to shoot as well. However, we didn't see them stand in the lane like regular customers. What I saw was something different, looked like some asian guy who worked there, had a fancy competition 2011, and it looked like he was shooting it or trying to show off to the other staff or customers or something? The part that made us feel unsafe was that we saw him with his back AGAINST THE WALL OF THE RANGE while shooting ONE HANDED. That means the muzzle of his gun was probably several feet BEHIND our heads from where were standing? Is this safe? Is there some kind of protocol for this? Is this a violation of their insurance company or something? One little flinch from him or wrong move could have been devastating... I don't care if you work at the range, own the range, or how great of a shot you are, standing with your back against the wall while paying customers are up at the firing line shooting is totally unacceptable in my opinion!!! The only thing I can say was at least we saw he was at the very end of the range and not in the middle or between customers. That's the only good thing I could say about this situation... I really don't know what I was seeing to be honest, looked like he was trying to show off to the other staff? I understand that this range is short, but why do this while other regular customers are shooting? If you're going to screw around like this, why not wait til the range was closed? Pretty sure all the people who were with us were very uncomfortable about it. After we saw him shooting like that we quickly finished up our session and left. It feels like this range is run more like a frat house than a professional shooting range. Was very displeased with what we saw and I would rather to go to FT3 instead of this place. Again, this was 100% my personal experience and my personal opinion. Maybe I misunderstood exactly what was going down that night? But one thing I can't forget about is the sight of another person's loaded muzzle (the STAFF of the range no less) behind our approximate location at the shooting range. Very strange behavior!!! Others might have different opinion on what went down but for me, I wouldn't feel safe at a range like this and would never bring my friends or family back here again after what we saw that night! read more

I've had nothing but positive experiences at Iron Mike's. The facility is very modern and clean, and all of their staff are super helpful and nice. Their hours (specifically on Friday and Saturday) make it convenient for me to go and shoot. I purchased the annual membership and bring guests in often - those who frequent other ranges admit this is the nicest facility they've been to. The staff in the range itself who are there to oversee/help if needed are great, all the ones I've conversed with are ex-military. They do a great job of placing more attention on individuals with less experience/those who rent without firearms of their own, it makes me feel comfortable and safe. I wouldn't be shooting even half as much if it weren't for Iron Mike's. Highly recommend this place, you get what you pay for. read more

This place is awesome! I just bought 2 guns and went to this range. They are very patient with me. They even taught me correct posture and how to hold the gun correctly. Iron Mike's Guns has now become my favorite indoor range! First of all, the facility is excellent, the bathrooms are very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly--everything about it was great. If I had to mention two downsides, one would be that the products on display seem to be priced a bit higher than elsewhere. Also, although it's an indoor range, the maximum shooting distance is only 12 yards, which feels a bit short. To add to that, even though it seems like a space more suited for pistols due to the short distance, people still shoot shotguns and other large-caliber firearms there, which can be a bit concerning. However, the biggest advantage is that an RSO (Range Safety Officer) is always present and actively monitoring inside the range. This shows how seriously they take safety, and for someone like me who usually goes to indoor ranges alone, having someone overseeing everything at all times is truly reassuring and excellent. Another great point is the unique selection of rare and interesting firearms on display--many of which are available for rental as well! While the usage fee is a bit higher than at other places, if you're looking for quality, I think I'll be coming back here more often. I definitely recommend it for shooting pistols, but in my personal opinion, it may not be the best environment for shooting AR-style rifles due to the limited space. read more

And everything's just CLEAN. On a side note, the check-out guy forgot to hand my DL back. And I forgot to ask for it as well, so 50/50 my fault. I have been trying out all the ranges in the Southern California area for the past 2 years. Like all businesses they come with pros and cons. However, certain cons that involve my safety cannot and should never be ignored. I have never experienced those kinds of events at Iron Mikes, rather the opposite. Lets go over the pros: 1. Parking is a breeze. Given the location and the hours of operation, I have never struggled finding a spot. 2. The showrooms and all the bays are remarkably clean. 3. I have yet to meet a staff member that wasn't professional and knowledgeable. 4. The targeting system is truely interesting if you have never tried it out before. The genesis system definitely switches things up when it comes to indoor shooting. 5. Free rentals on Tuesdays and Thursdays is a must see because of the large inventory they have of rentals. Of course you're going to have some cons, however, these cons do not affect me, but you should be aware of them. 1. The range in comparison to most is a bit more expensive. 2. The max range you can shoot up to is 12yds. With all that in mind, I still consistently go to this range and train. The slightly higher fees do not really bug me all too much. Beautiful high tech range with optimal lighting. As someone sighting in new gear, the cameras were helpful to review shot placement without pulling the target in. Super friendly staff enabling hands on exposure to a wide variety of firearms for sale. Plenty of options for rental as well. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for 1 issue.. It was extremely hot inside the range. After overhearing multiple groups complain, the staff blamed it on the number of people shooting...at only half capacity I didn't buy it. As someone who normally goes to the desert, I can tolerate heat but for an indoor range charging a premium, they should do better. Frequenting alternatives like FT3, Brea(while open), Even's Gun World, & Insight Shooting Range, I am familiar with the ability to control temperature even on a range at full capacity. Unfortunately the heat discouraged me from purchasing a membership which I had planned on doing. At $880 a year, I expect a cool comfortable environment. Perhaps they were having mechanical AC issues? I'll try once more before making my final decision on the membership. Aside from your heat, awesome place Iron Mike! read more

The facility was clean and we definitely enjoyed it. Have nothing but nice things to post about here and the staff. Judging by the other negative yelp reviews, they are probably fake reviews from competitors (like the unsafe muzzle? Wtf) or snowflakes or plebs that don't understand you pay for quality. Anyways, don't believe the negative reviews. We had an awesome experience and didn't feel "unsafe" at all. The staff gave us some welcomed pointers on how to improve our shooting and were very attentive whenever we needed help. Their shop has hard to find guns that you don't see anywhere else. Purchased a couple of high end 2011's from here and couldn't be happier! Pricing is fair if not cheaper than other luxury firearm dealers (actually cheaper than Portside). If you want Turner's pricing, go to Turners and wait in a long line only get treated like crap. Again, you get what you pay for in life.
