Saw Mystic Pizza here recently. The parking was decent, staff friendly, and they had a cute Photo Booth set up in the lobby. The production and performers were awesome and with the theater being small and intimate, every seat is a great seat. Sound system was good, seats were comfortable, snacks/drinks reasonably priced so I will definitely be back. read more

The Riverside Theatre live in the loop venue is quite amazing. THE NEW MENUE/ FOOD IS NOT EDIBLE. The recent change in food is so disappointing. My friends traveled from 45 minutes away and they were hungry. The food was not only worse than ever. The prices seem to have doubled, and the portions are laughable . Bad choice of new menu bad bad food. Eat before you go folks On the bright side....The servers are amazing, friendly and kind!!! read more

We went with family to see Kinky Boots in March 2024 for an afternoon show on a weekend recently, and overall had a phenomenal experience! There is free parking in a parking lot across from the theater and you walk in to the theater and they have concessions and various volunteers around the theater to answer any questions you may have. They have two floors of the theater and multiple entry points at each spot to check tickets. All of the theater employees were so nice and there wasn't a bad seat in the house. The only thing I would say is that it would be nice to have security checkpoints with metal detectors for the security of the patrons, employees, and the performers. It's pretty common to have this type of security at venues and I was kinda surprised that this security wasn't there. There was a police car present on site, which was nice, but the extra security measure would have been nice. read more

My parents and I came here Saturday and rented a cabana for some live music. 80 dollars for a cabana for 3 people was a little steep, but we had prime seats, water in a cooler, a fan, and other amenities. Our waitress was fantastic and always checked back in on us to make sure we were ok. The beer and drink selection was above average, I ordered a Sandy Feet from Walking Tree and it came out in a plastic cup, and had the perfect amount of head on it, great pour by the bartender. Another positive was the amount of parking and well lit areas to walk to and from your car. Another positive was the quality of sound and the way it was mixed, and the band themselves, all 10 out of 10. The other place where I will be removing a star is the food options. All of the food is mass produced, and nothing is fresh, I get it is an outside theater venue but the options were limited and nothing was fantastic. We ended up ordering the lowest common denominator, the loaded nachos with jalapenos on the side as a app for us to share. The chips were round discs and the cheese sauce was from a bag. You have 100 - 150 hungry people there enjoying the music. If there were better food options, they would spend more money. read more

I'm amazed at how everyone raves about this theater! The seats are extremely cramped as if you are in the cheapest section of airline economy seating. Perhaps, if they had not tried to cram in every possible seat it would be more comfortable. They did a great job at planning how every seat has an excellent view of the stage. The sight lines are wonderful. The theater could also use more restrooms. To have one restroom for males and two for females is hardly adequate. Riverside reminds us of a Regional Theater; Yes, they import NYC vocalists, but productions are not at the NYC level or even close. When every performance receives a standing ovation, the act of honoring the performance is watered down. Every performance getting a standing ovation is akin to every participant getting a trophy. The theater complex alone is a reason to see performances here. The main theater is used for Broadway caliber productions with Equity actors and wonderful directors and choreographers.All shows are produced by the theater and are not roadshows. Any of the shows I've seen could very easily be relocated to Broadway and get good reviews. It's one of the delights of living in Vero Beach. Fortunately, there's an abundance of Vero residents who support productions. The current production of Thoroughly Modern Millie is reported to have cost 1 1/2 million dollars. We were visiting friends in town and they asked if we'd be interested in visiting Riverside Theatre to watch a Comedy Zone show. Wow! My expectations were completely exceeded. The facility is beautiful and the interior of the theatre was spacious yet still intimate. We were assigned our own server who took our drink orders throughout the show. Complimentary pretzels are placed on each table. There is also a full bar inside you can order a pre-show drink from. We saw an artist that goes by Mr. Showtime and he was incredibly entertaining. It was truly a night to remember and a show that has you leaving in the best mood. Our tickets were $18 each and it was well worth it. There is plenty of free parking across the street. The theatre also hosts pre-show festivities including a live band on an outside stage and there is a place to order food at. Attending a show on either Friday or Saturday night will be a priority every time we visit Vero Beach from now on. read more

Controversial play Oleanna was good and thought provoking but I thought the play was WAY OVERPRICED.

What a beautiful theater! Saw Lost in Yonkers this evening. Wow! What a performance! Emily Berman who played Aunt Bella was outstanding! Such talent! Brought such emotion to me. Boy, she was amazing! Shami McCormick who played grandma was also amazing! I laughed but boy did these two stir all kinds of emotions. The theater is beautiful. We sat in box seats L seats 13 and 15. The best seats in the house! Highly recommend the play and the theater. read more

There is a multitude of reasons of heading this way at practically any time. In the past we have been season ticket holders for the main stage for such mainstays as "Chicago" and "La Cage Aux Folles," and praise somebody "La Cage" is returning next season. We have been there for second stage productions, special events like "The Nutcracker," and the angry-dude comics on the weekend. We made it back Friday for a longtime favorite, the free concert in the driveway in the summer heat. Generally we pair this outing with a casual bite at Riverside Cafe and a stroll through the park, and we did this time with goodness-gracious an ahi tuna wrap at the boisterous, happy-hour-friendly cafe, fun place to be, to a sweaty walk in the drizzle, to the forever-amiable Big Coque in the theater driveway, fronted by one of the nicest humans for three hours of dancing on the asphalt, driven close and cozy by occasional rain. I have attended the Distinguished Lecture Series for several years. Yesterday I attended a presentation by Sir Salman Rushdie who was billed as "a brilliant provocateur" and a "noted public intellectual." Yes he was and many were as enthusiastic about his lecture as I was. A handful of people "booed" him and a few left before a Q&A commenced; definitely "provocative." Other lecturers have included Condoleezza Rice, George W Bush, Dick Cheney, Robert Gates, Leon Panetta, to name a few. All fascinating people who have "been there, done that" and have tremendous knowledge and are true intellectuals. The "Comedy Club" and Broadway shows are well attended too. As a life long resident of Vero, I've always admired the talent that Riverside Theater attracts. read more

Went here to see Hank Williams: Lost Highway. I loved it and I don't even particularly care for Country Music. The old man sitting next to me was enormous and his girth oozed into my seat and he smelled like rotten vitamins but luckily I was able to scooch down one seat. His wife, The Queen of Rudeness and Corpulent Obesity wouldn't even get up to let us in but she sure jumped up to get an ice cream at intermission and to clap to this music! The cast was great and there were some ingenious sets. I went twice to this theatre last year; once to see Mame and once to see Saturday Night Fever. Sometimes it can get pretty loud but it is an intimate setting so all seats are good. Most of the audience is a bit aged so don't come looking to pick up some hotties. You may want to bring a wrap or a sweater because it can get a little chilly in the seats and sometimes it can be loud. At intermission they sell pretzels and drinks, I would like to see hot dogs on the menu! read more
