This is my third time visiting. After completing paperwork, I did not experience a long wait time and the staff was very professional. After I explained my knee pain and struggles to walk, the nurse and doctor did all that they could to address the issue, assess my pain level and personally get me fitted for a knee sleeve and explained that I must REST and allow the knee to heal, no marathons or 5 mile walks, REST! Also, they have option of online check in and you can receive updates by text on your wait time! Great location, adequate parking in from and back and the lobby was clean and spacious! I have not been to Riverview Medical Center in years. I went because my primary doctor couldn't see me right away and I needed immediate attention. I think the biggest issue is the customer service process is slow. I signed in and waited 25 minutes to receive paperwork. Then waited another 25 minutes or so to be seen. There were only three people in the lobby when I arrived. This process needs to be re-evaluated and fixed. read more

The wait was thirty minutes past the time we checked in but we were able to see our doc as soon as we made it to the back. Our room had a tv to keep my toddler content while getting checked up and the staff was amazing. Dr. Donna was the sweetest. Totally recommend. read more

This is the worst ran medical facility I have ever been in. I am in the medical field and I have never met a slower staff. The facility is dirty. Went to restroom and there was peep and poop on the toilet. Smelled awful. It took 4 hours for my family member to be taken care of. Our hospital ERs are better than this. That is not saying a whole lot. Whoever owns this needs to reorganize and be more efficient. I also think they need be visit by the State and Medicare. I went here for severe neck and back spasms, was charged for the visit before I was even seen. The nurse barely screened me, didn't even ask about my pain level. When I saw the provider she didn't even do a medical exam and told me to take Motrin and told me to come back if I didn't improve. I was a medic in the army for 11 years, I've worked in clinics in Iraq that were cleaner than this place. The joint commission should definitely do a surprise inspection. The place was absolutely filthy. Nothing was wiped down and you could tell no one has cleaned in days. Don't go here, go to the ER instead. read more

I have used this place numerous times for Work related injuries, being seen by a doctor, and for Physical Therapy, and I can say that while the wait may be long it is worth it. The doctors here are good and to the point. My daughter had been seeing her normal doctor about an issue for weeks while at her mothers house, and a single trip to Riverview when at my house got her the meds and treatment she needed to clear up a problem in less than 48 hours. read more

I was turned away, because I didn't have $108 dollars. I have a high deductible, and was unable to pay at the time of visit. But, the worse part about this situation. TERRIBLE FACILITY with LAZY, UNCARING ASSOCIATES!! DON'T GO!!! For 3 days I suffered with a fever, headache, nausea, body aches, etc. The admin told me all patients are to wait in their car until a room is ready for an exam. So, I waited. My at-home COVID test was negative so I was swabbed for flu. I waited almost 2 HOURS in my car and NO ONE came or called with my results. After seeing several people enter the building and NOT return to their cars, I went back in. The admin was shocked to see me and immediately went for an associate. The young lady (whom I watched play with her dog outside for 20 minutes before reporting to work) came out, told me I was negative for flu, a prescription was called in for nausea. Why didn't anyone come out to tell me this? Her response: "You didn't need to stay, we would have called you with your results." Really? When?? So, I'm negative for flu and COVID, what are my next steps? Her response, if you're still not feeling well in a couple of days, come back to see us." She then walked away. UNBELIEVABLE!! LAZY ASSOCIATE! I've been sick for 3 days which is why I came here. I immediately went to another Urgent Care facility. They genuinely cared, were not lazy to further investigate my illness. I was diagnosed with having a UTI. I WON'T be going back to Riverview or recommending this facility ever again!!!! Fun fact: They still billed my insurance for the visit! Train wreck. Have been to the family practice area of this medical center for about a year now. The male doctor there Dr Given was accepting new patients. I had signed up with the intention of visiting this facility for many years as a primary care provider. The good: Dr Given is good and the nurse staff and nurse Donna is good. The bad: Everything else. Examples: -45 min wait no matter what -Unorganized, or understaffed, untrained not sure what the problem is, but there is always an issue. For example, I visited one afternoon and they were going to call in a prescription. Pharmacy got nothing. I called 5pm spoke with someone that would check on it and get back to me. Nothing. I called the next day couldn't speak with anyone had to leave a voice mail. Still no prescription a day later. If you have to go there and they say they are giving you a prescription don't leave there without it in your hands. -No one answers the phone. Try it - call 803 366 7443 the primary care desk phone number. I learned after to call the main number, ask for primary care, then maybe 1/3 of the time they can get someone if you ask to hold. -Mistakes. Insurance would only cover one type of medication. I printed it out and brought it down for them. They wrote another script for something different. When I finally got the right script for what my insurance would cover, it had the wrong instructions on it. Rather than jump through hoops with them trying to get the right instructions over the phone I asked the pharmacy and searched online for the right instructions. Riverview confirmed the instructions were correct on a follow up visit - but they still had the original wrong medication in my file! they had no idea was I was taking. The bottom line - if you are reading this than you are considering going to this facility. Based on my experience, if you had to go to them for something basic like a drug test for work or something like that you may be ok. Anything else like a visit because you are sick for urgent care or as a primary care doctor do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I hope the owners of this facility read this and react responsibly. Being in the business of not only servicing people but treating them from a health perspective you should care more about your customers than simply collecting their money. read more

Absolutely no regrets for moving from Carmel Family Practice to Riverview Medical. From check-in to checkout I am met with a conscientious staff who make every effort to get me seen as quickly as possible. I am greeted with a smile and professionalism. Dr. Given is very thorough and not only your doctor, but also your friend. I feel like my exams are relaxed and not rushed. I have called on several occasions with questions, and he or his nurse Dana always give a quick response. My company insurance changed recently, and I had some problems with coverage for a routine physical. I made one call, and was connected with Jenifer Randal in the billing department. She interceded with the insurance company, and had the problem corrected by the next day. My entire family is seen at Riverview Medical. I recommend them highly. Ken M read more

Do not come here. 1.) After waiting over 2 hours the front desk associate finally ran my insurance and I guess my history with them. She called me up to inform me that I had an outstanding balance in the amount of $125, and that if I didn't pay it and the amount due from this visit I wouldn't be seen. The unpaid balance is from 2010! I inquired as to why I wasn't informed of this until now, and she responded by saying there was a system crash in 2011....so information wasn't updated..I'm STILL confused. I should have been informed in 2010, or at least 2012 after the "crash". I have had the same number and address since then. Well I paid it and was able to see a doctor about 30 minutes later. 2.) I asked the doctor about some issues I have been having as well as a pain in my breast. He responds with "we don't really get much of that here. I would ask your ob." I thought he would check it out in the least. He was nice, but he was also a little condescending when responding to some questions I had about meningitis. 3.) Basically I wasted 3 hours and $250. read more

Went to Riverview to get my ears cleaned. Had to go to the ENT the very next day. According to my ENT, the technician botched the "procedure" so badly at Riverview that she took out at 2/3rds of my ear drum. Right after the technician "cleaned" my ears, she called in the doctor because my ear was bleeding and he said that it was a slight abrasion that would heal on its own.... Apparently, that's code for we screwed up but don't want to admit it. The ENT had to prescribe antibiotic drops, and I have to come in every 2 weeks for the next 6 weeks to ensure that my ear drum grows back properly. If it doesn't, I have to have surgery! DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT POOR MEDICAL TREATMENT! BEWARE! read more

Although the physicians are quality their concern for the comfort and the air quality in the waiting area is lacking. If you have breathing issue such as COPD find a different place for your care. When I made inquiry as to the heavy air freshener in the air I was told it was for anti bacterial purposes however I have seen the automatic dispensers in other medical offices and they did not put a pungent scent of perfume in the air. Had I not been in a situation where my options were limited for care at the time I would have exited the facility, but my daughter was ill and it was necessary for me to stay exposed to an air quality situation which caused shortness of breath that was not a problem until my exposure. Had I gone into respiratory distress I would not be grading them on Yelp, I'd be calling an attorney. So my advice to you is, if you must use this facility keep your attorney on speed dial. read more

If you want substandard care from rude, arrogant jerks then this is the place for you! They are all about the money and don t care one bit about patients needs or issues. If you dare to complain directly to them about their poor care, rude attitudes and malfunctioning equipment, they dump you as a patient and send you on your way. You really can t expect much from an office in a former strip mall location across the road from Hooters! Have you ever been told very nicely that your time does not matter? Today I visited this facility. I got there at 830am. At 10:00am, I approached the desk counter to speak with the same lady who gladly and professionally accepted my Insurance and copay an hour and a half ago. She seemed as though it was the first time we met. I asked her how much longer it would be before I would be seen as I needed to get to work. She asked me what my name was. I told her my name and she simply walked away. She returned several minutes later to tell me that I had three in front of me. I told her that I did not know what that meant. She said, there are three people ahead of you in a very dry almost sarcastic way. I reminded her that I did not ask how many people were here or in front of me, I asked how long before I would be seen. Now sarcastic, she tells me that she has no way of knowing how long and since I do not have a Primary Care Physician here, I would be seen after those patients so my time could even be longer if other appointments came in while I was waiting. I do not profess to know what their workload is. I understand that times vary and waits can change, what I do not understand is how hard is it to show some personality and concern for someone that came to a medical facility and does not want to be here in the first place. As I write this I am watching her treat other patients in the same fashion. If the management of this facility reads this, please contact me, I would be glad to provide you the name of the nasty employee you have working your front counter. If you do not wish to contact me, then I do not blame the employee for behaving in a manner that is apparently acceptable at this Practice. Ok, to be fair. I want to continue this review to say that the Doctor I saw today was a true professional. Top notch. The management here needs to fix the front desk if these Doctors are ever going to be able to show their phenomenal skills. I have been going to Riverview Medical since 2012. I decided to get a private doctor and on 10-1-14, I completed a form to get a copy of my records. The young lady who took my form said she would call me when they're ready. Three weeks later, I walked in to check on the status, and was told I would have to speak with Donna in records because she was the ONLY person who could help. I left several messages for Donna, and have yet to receive one phone call. I even explained that I needed to bring my records to my new doctor on 10-31-14, and nothing. She never answers the phone when you call, and the people at the front desk are useless. As long as they're getting your money, everything is okay. I wouldn't have given them any stars if that were possible. I was there at 10pm on a Thursday and didn't get seen until 12:30am. I was in a great deal of pain with my throat. I had a fever of 101.3 and my blood pressure was high. When we arrived we asked how long would it be. They said they couldn't give us a time. 1 1/2 hours later I asked my mother to find out how much longer it would be. They told her they couldn't give her a time but probably 45 minutes or longer. As she was walking away I heard the receptionist tell another co worker "I already told her how long it would be". The receptionist left my credentials on the counter without informing me they were there. I seen them laying there and told her she should be more careful. All of the receptionists were acting like they were having a get together behind the counter along with police officer that was on duty that night. They were being very very loud and unprofessional. This place is the worst!!!! I finally had had enough and told them to be quite. There were sick people here that are in pain and don't want to hear them being loud and laughing!! When I finally got to see someone it turns out to be a nurse practitioner!!! She didn't get any throat cultures or anything!! She gave me a shot for the pain and two prescriptions!! I could tell they knew I had told the women up front to be quite because they had the worst attitude. WOW!! Totally unprofessional place!!! I will not ever go back there and I advise anyone else not to go there. I will tell everyone I know not to go there!!!! Also, there was a roach on the floor in the waiting room.
