There are some who care, but the majority know it is hard to get help and it shows in their attitude. Most of the nurses feel it is beneath them to help a resident get to the bathroom, and since there are not enough aides, you could wait 40 minutes for help. If you have someone there, it is important to be there with them for the majority of the day, or they will not be helped. The staff is overworked and resentful. My husband was there for 12 weeks and by the end he was begging me to get him out of there.

She was never in depends when she was home. She's drastically declined since she's been there. The workers never put her dentures in correctly and are overwhelmed with other patients. She always was so beautiful and now shes so unkempt, hair not washed, sweaty. Shes just not being taken care of the way she should. There are way too many patients per nurse. They say she's combative and that's part of the disease, they medicate for it. It seems to me she's lucid, knowing that she doesn't live there, then she gets so medicated that she sleeps through meals. Yes she's losing weight. Yes her dementia is advancing horribly. I think this place is a big part if her advancing.

I love Heritage Corner Health Care Campus!…read more My mother-in-law has been a resident there for over 7 years, and they do a great job taking care of her. No place is perfect, but Heritage has many loyal employees who really care about their clients, and it shows. The nursing staff is awesome. I also love that they have all levels of care from independent living all the way to memory care and hospice. This is important, because as you grow older, the only thing you really have left is your friends, and having all levels in one facility allows Mom to continue to see her friends even when they need a higher level of care. Heritage also has a daycare, so they bring the kids in to interact with the residents on a weekly basis, which the residents really enjoy. In addition, they have lots of activities and bus trips, which the residents enjoy. I would strongly recommend checking out this facility for anyone looking for independent or assisted living.

I felt the patient rooms were visually stark and cold -- to the bleak extreme. (Oddly, the common areas were much better.) People die here but no need for the patient rooms to remind you of it any sooner than necessary. There was no welcoming program to acquaint us with the room. We kept having to ask questions like "what is the phone number to the room," "can she get a glass of water," "where are more blankets and pillows," etc. It was a stressful time, of course, but some of the nursing staff seemed notably distant and disconnected. The intake social worker was above average and the hospice doctor was very good. It wasn't all bad. Bring low expectations about the accommodations and consider hiring a private nurse. In my opinion, this is what lowest common denominator corporate hospice services looks like.

Due to the last minute need of finding a rehab for my mother, this was the only place available. My family is frantically trying to find a new rehab but the good places have a waiting list. I'm just trying to keep my mom alive long enough so we can get her transferred-that's how bad it is. It's a shame this place has such bad nursing care because everyone in rehab seems to be great. However if my mom's basic daily needs aren't being met, then rehab isn't going to be effective. I wish I could leave a negative amount of stars.

She performed surgery for my Achilles tendon rupture, and from my very first appointment through recovery, I felt completely confident that I was in the best hands. Dr. Smith is highly skilled, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable, but what truly sets her apart is her compassion and ability to explain everything clearly and patiently. She took the time to answer all my questions, eased my concerns, and made sure I understood every step of the process. The surgery went smoothly, my recovery has been excellent, and I credit that to her expertise and attention to detail.
