I really loved the friendliness of the staff. They're always so willing to help when I have questions. I wish there was more places to sit and hang out that didn't feel so sterile like a hospital. Maybe a cozy corner with a giant couch and deep chairs. read more

This library opened up again after being closed for damages. This was my first time there. This library is huge! Not only that but it has a play area for kids 6 and under! That was a huge plus and they have plenty of open areas for kids to explore and play. It was very quiet and our time there was very enjoyable! They had so much space and so many places to go. They also have laptops for rent as well as meeting spaces. It was very clean and fun! We will be coming weekly! read more

If an item is in the Hillsborough area, you can fit it delivered to this place in a few days, walk in and check out fast. Returns are simple and you can scan multiple items at check out. I remember passing by this building on Balm Riverview when it was still a construction site. I continued passing the library for years until I finally decided to take advantage of having a local library close by. The building itself is welcoming painted a bright yellow with white framing. This cozy architecture calmed the slight nervousness I normally feel when entering an unfamiliar space. A native Floridian will quickly notice the ode to our state's natural landscape. The floor is decorated with a swirl of blues, yellow, and orange with painted fishes. There are several stain glass windows with different marsh wildlife like herons. In the front lobby, high school students continue their schoolyard conversation that flows through the glass barrier labeled with the sign "social Zone". I cross the automatic sliding doors into the main lobby area, and the space is filled with people of all demographics wrapped up in their individual activities. Movies will make libraries seem like stuffy and ancient relics with a grumpy elderly woman in a tight bun hissing at you to be quiet. The Riverview library is alive and modern with not only books but computer stations, printers, self-checkout kiosks, and a variety of seating selections. It is busy but not distracting. One can find true peace once they step out onto the back porch area where the loudest sound is the muffled sound of cars passing by on Balm Riverview. The screen allows one to enjoy the outdoors without the annoyance of pesky insects hovering around your space. No matter what you're there to do, there's a place for you. read more

Beautiful layout and greenery outside poking thru the gorgeous large windows... I was visiting from out of state and my sister brought me to this library but I couldn't stand being there for more than 10 minutes because the lady at Customer Service with the short bob haircut had such a loud "inside" voice. It was terribly distracting. I'm not sure how anyone was able to tune it out! Though she was very friendly and helpful to people I wish she'd be more aware of her volume and how it carries through the library while w're trying to read. read more

Bathrooms are dirty especially the floors. Extremely noisy (what happened to being courteous and quiet) Chairs uncomfortable (not a great place to find a book and relax and read awhile) read more

This facility is fantastic. The service from the team that manages the desk is amazing. I saw them several times come over to assist people. They are friendly and always willing to help. The library is clean, lots of amenities (computers, laptops, printers, small conference spaces, etc.), and hours are helpful. It's great to have this library available in our community. I'm not an avid reader but I do enjoy a good book every now and again. The selection here seems a bit low but if you aren't one to visit a library you should know that if you request a book from another library in the county, they will let you know when it is available and will ship it to your local branch. My wife and I came here after grabbing some coffee (they were okay with us bringing the coffee into the library with us) and strolled around looking for any books of interest. Once we each found a good selection we discovered their back patio with a calm view looking out into some trees. We could hear birds in the distance and it protected us from the rain and was screened in so we were not getting bit up. All of the patio chairs are made from recycled plastic giving the whole place a quiet place to read. read more

Very small and loud. Not a quiet place to study ***suggestion*** - Relocate some of the partitioned desks and tables along with a few computers to the rear room for people who are seeking a quiet place to read, study and conduct research. The constant banging of books being replaced on the shelves is a distraction. read more

I love this library! Very modern looking, the staff is always nice. I love to come after class with my study group and reserve a room to study, and when I'm not studying I bring my son here to play in the children's library, he loves it as well. My favorite library in the area! read more

The new building and location is great to me. It's easy to get to since I'm so close and I love their computers. It's also very clean as well as the bathrooms. The water fountains are off though and I wish they would turn them on since I can't have a water at the computer. I wish that the hours were open longer as well and I wish the people using the library would be a lot quieter. Even the people working there were having loud conversations. So this defeats the whole purpose of me even coming to the library. My house is loud and I find it difficult to concentrate so I am seeking a great quiet place I can do assignments in peace. I just had to leave this library because the whole hour I was there the noise never settled down. read more

#243 Wife and I decided to cull the book herd as they were starting to apply for a zip code of their own. I usually donate books to the local high school library but this time it was our public library. Part of Hillsborough County Library System the Riverview branch is a serviceable library with more selections than I thought. They also have puters to use and you can check out DVDs too. Sure, it's not pretty and well used but that's fine. I'd rather it be a bit worn by use than new and shiny because no one uses it. read more

The Riverview Branch library may be small and not have a ton of hours of availability, but service here tends to be good, with friendly librarians that assist you very well. I love how the libraries in this county have Wifi access so you can just go there to do homework without actually using their computers. read more

What a nice library. Haven't been to one in years. Decided to give our 4 years old twin grandsons a new experience. They nearly went nuts when they saw all the kids books of which they have tons, So that lead me to getting a library card so they could take home some books..., 16 to be exact and all on trucks!! The librarians were very helpful, even patient when the boys keep asking them questions. Great experience, great library, guess we'll have a new every three week activity!!! Oh and did you know you can now take out 50, yes 50 books out at a time. Far cry from the two I used to be able to get. read more

One of the worst libraries in Hillsborough county. Very high ceilings that tend to make it echo & very loud. More often than not kids are on the computers playing games when I need to use the computer to locate a book. Always freezing cold inside and it smells weird. read more

I've always been happy at this library. I'm disabled and they are nice to help me when using the copier/printer. They have faxed for me several times. I donate books for their Friends of Library programs.. read more

not a huge library, but very helpful librarians. the odor in their can be daunting, musty, but the ability of the librarians and friendliness masks it well. tons of people use the computers, and good for them. read more
