I was immediately drawn in by the outside flower decor that thanks to this non profit organization, gives work to women. This boutique shop is intentional and every single piece here is presented with a meaning. From the moment you walk in, you feel drawn. It's cozy, homey and you're guaranteed to find a gift for someone or even gift yourself something from this amazing place. The owner was even so kind to give me a further backstory on the candles I purchased made by an amazing, energetic, great grandmother, right in the Catskills, out of high quality beeswax. I'll lean the piece to the left, as you mentioned, and keep the top open rather than dense, so the height reads as tall and architectural rather than heavy!" Perfect. The arrangement in the second photo is what we received. I expressed our unhappiness and was told we'd be charged extra for the design we originally wanted. I went back to the owner, Jill, who said she had "misinterpreted the design." They redid it urgently. We still don't love it, and when we asked about the materials used, we were told, "No, the commission covers the design, sourcing, and construction time of the finished piece, not a quantity of stems." So we're being charged for the materials from the first arrangement but not getting any of them back. We ended up paying nearly $500 for something Jill misinterpreted. I appreciate that it's an artistic piece that takes time to create, but this experience has been frustrating. It's sad that I can't recommend them, and reviews like this are written to warn buyers.
