I meant to share this review a long time ago, but got distracted with life. These folks are WORTH IT. If you have something special you want framed just the right way AND you would like creative people to help you decide on a frame -- this is the place. They framed a beautiful piece of Chinese calligraphy for me and took SUCH personal care and time to help me get exactly the style I was looking for. They are worth every penny. read more

I only decided to go through this company because there was a Groupon and here is my experience: 1. When I initially took the items to be framed to this business, they were very helpful. This was early June '14 and they stated it'd be 2-3 weeks for the items (my college degrees) to be framed. 2. Almost a month later I hadn't heard if my frame was ready to be picked up, so I called and asked. They seemed completely surprised and (I think) possibly forgot about my order since they stated it'd be ready in 30 minutes. One would think a customer wouldn't have to call a company to ask if their item is ready, it should be the other way around. 3. I went to pickup the item a couple days later and when the employee brought it from the backroom, the college degrees were not ordered in sequence as we had originally diagrammed and I had ordered. Since their Framer wasn't available, I'd have to come back another day and they stated they'd give me a discount on a future purchase. 4. I went back mid-July and picked up the item. My focus (regrettably) was just on the order of the degrees and I didn't inspect or look at anything else related to the frame. The degrees were in order so I took the item, thanked them, and left. I placed the frame in the backseat of my car, where there was nothing else back there. I took it home and upon looking at it as I removed it from my car; I noticed some white splotches that looked like paint on one side of the frame. I immediately called the company and stated the issue, to which they were apologetic and stated they'd fix it right away when I could bring it in. 5. I don't live close to their business, so the only time I can drive to them is when I'm in the area for my job (plus they are closed on weekends so that makes it hard as well). This past week I was in the area for work and dropped off the frame. Upon giving it to the same employee that brought it out with the degrees not organized correctly, she stated, "Well we did inspect it before you left." So basically she was implying I did something that put a smudge/paint on the edge of the frame when I did nothing of the sort, PLUS they had already messed up on the arranging the degrees in the fist place. The Framer came out, looked at it, and took it in the back to get the smudges/paint off, to which I then went and sat down in the front foyer. 6. When the Framer was done, the employee brought it out and I inspected it thoroughly, yet right before she came around the corner, I could hear another employee, the owner perhaps, state (I'm paraphrasing), "If you have an issue with him I'll talk to him about it"--meaning I was some sort of problem customer. I held my cool, inspected the frame, then left. So, in review: I had to call and ask if my frame was ready; the first time I went by to pick up the frame the sequence of degrees was wrong; the second time I went to pickup the frame there was some sort of smudge/paint on the frame that I (my fault, I admit it) didn't notice because I was focused on the degrees being in the right order; then last, when bringing the frame back since THEY must have rubbed it against something, I'm treated like I did something wrong and that I'm a problem customer. I for one will NEVER visit this business again. read more

The folks at Riveting have done amazing work with some very challenging canvases (greater than 10 feet in length) I've asked them to stretch, including a recent one, 12 feet long, on which Henry, their resident photo framing wizard, discovered a defect that had eluded my attention. I went to the shop with tools in hand, only to be advised by Henry that my methods might likely destroy it. Henry coached me as to the proper means of repair, which resulted in a perfect appearance. Let's face it, I admittedly have bad taste when it comes to art or interior design. I know what I like and don't like, and that's about it. I came to Riveting Frame & Design with a funky piece of art I bought while traveling, and all I really knew was that I couldn't just staple it to the wall. I thought I'd try them out with a Home Run coupon. First of all, I appreciated that they didn't immediately talk about money. I was dreading the, "How much do you want to spend?" question. I have never framed anything before, and I didn't want to throw out a number that made me sound like a complete doofus (even though I really was a complete doofus). Instead, they started showing me options right away with a number of matting and frame combinations. They steered me in the right direction without being pushy, and I felt like I could say, "I don't like that," without them treating me like I was unenlightened on the finer points of artsy-fartsyness. They took the options that I was naturally drawn to, no matter how garish, and somehow made them work. When everything looked great, I was given a couple of different price quotes depending on various options (such as UV glass). I was pleasantly surprised by the price as well. I didn't have to put anything back or act like it suddenly didn't look right because I couldn't afford it (artsy-fartsy faux pas #32). read more

I love working with Ali and Kathy--the whole staff is incredibly helpful and customer service oriented. The selection of frames runs the whole spectrum--price friendly to high end, very special mouldings. I especially appreciate their proactive approach to keeping me updated on status or complications on my work. My clients are always more than pleased with the quality of work as well as the time frame for completion of work I just wish they weren't so far away from me...but the trip is always worth it! read more
