He's been in the business for a while so he really knows how to position you so the light hits you just right and it looks natural. My husband and I felt really awkward going into our engagement pictures because we had never taken pictures like that before and we were a bit camera shy. Steve made us laugh and moved us around a bit and talked to us to tell us where to look and what to do so that the pictures came out fantastic! It was a really good idea to book him for all three pictures that really gave us a chance to get to know Steve and understand his photography style. It also gave Steve a chance to see how we interacted together and how comfortable/uncomfortable we were with taking the pictures so by the time we were taking wedding photos we didn't need as much direction and Steve was able to get more shots since we already had an idea of what we should be doing. Steve did a wonderful job of capturing all of the small details at our wedding along with the regular wedding pictures (i.e. cake cutting, bouquet toss, and family photos). It was so nice to have those detail shots because we didn't get a chance to mingle at the cocktail hour and truthfully, the wedding just flew by and I didn't remember so many things from the evening. Luckily, Steve managed to capture all of the little special moments for us so we could remember and relive them. Everyone I've showed my pictures too have just been blown away with how fantastic they are. Steve is very reasonably priced too for the high quality services that he provides! I would book Steve again in a heartbeat and if I ever need to take pictures again for anything,he's the guy I'm going back to. He's a very nice guy, professional, easy to work with, and quick to respond to emails, I'm completely thrilled with all of my pictures! We did have one issue where the picture of my wedding dress didn't come out quite right but Steve said it was no problem and we scheduled another day to retake some pictures of my wedding dress. That really meant a lot to me because he didn't have to take the picture again but he did and he didn't charge any extra for it. Mariemil suggested we use the Cal State Long Beach Japanese Gardens as the backdrop for our family. Very nice. The location was free from crowds and had a number of beautiful settings including koi ponds, wooden bridges, walkways, foliage, etc. She suggested a number of different set-ups throughout the one hour sitting and we ended up with about 100 different photos. WAY more than we had expected. I absolutely LOVE what Mariemil and Paolo are doing. They are creating ART!! Highly recommend.

Recently, I received devastating news that my dog of nine years had been diagnosed with terminal…read morecancer and was given a very short life expectancy. I knew immediately that I wanted to take family pictures with my family (which consists of two dogs and my long term boyfriend). I immediately thought of my sisters wedding photographer, Christine Meeker Pictures, who did such an amazing job at her wedding in January. Boy am I glad I called them! I called on a Monday and spoke with Laurie, she was so sweet, caring and professional. After explaining what I wanted she had me booked that same week on Thursday! Such a quick turn around! When we arrived for the pictures, their studio was amazing. We loved all of the outside setups and props that we were able to take pictures in front of. Even thought my dogs were a little crazy with all of the stimulation, Christine and Jennifer were fantastic. They were so patient and you could tell how much they love and enjoy what they do. One thing I really loved was during each picture grouping Christine would say, "Got it!" when she got the picture. It was such a wonderful experience during such a difficult time for my family. Before leaving, they already had me set up with a date to come back and review the pictures. The review process was amazing with Amanda as well. I loved the set up of the room and how she went over all of our pictures in a slide show format. It felt very personal and was a great touch. Now to the pictures themselves... They are absolutely amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better turnout. I loved all of them, so it was difficult to choose which ones I wanted. I ended up ordering three prints of different sizes and a book. Words can't express how happy I am and how much I will treasure these pictures. The cherry on top of my experience with Christine Meeker Pictures was that after it was all said and done, Amanda asked how Dutch (my dog) was doing. Sally was great about working with me to customize a package for my wedding day because I had a crazy long wedding! After the wedding everyone kept asking me who my photographer was and telling me how much they loved her. The guests loved that she would interact with them to get amazing shots. There were no shots missed and I had a range of classic wedding photos, fun shots, and sexy romantic looks too. Every single guest had a photo taken and no one was missed.
