I received direct e-mails from their staff trying to resolve my issues, questions, and address the frustrations I have been having. Additionally, my loan information is now available on their website, which I found to be easy to navigate. At this time my payments are up-to-date, automatic payments have been set up, and I no longer feel stressed about the transition. Yes, they did lose a star still because of the initial headaches, but I have to admit that this is the only company I have reviewed on Yelp! to actually reach out and try hard to address my issues, so I give them credit for that. If anything, it's worth giving Member First a second chance.

My Pacific time credit union held my mortgage and suddenly transferred it to these Eastern types (my credit union's fault, not this LLC's fault). Interface to new outfit immediately exposed their strength (good-hearted, hard working , polite, Midwest-U.S. front line phone talent) and their weaknesses (unable to provide a payment coupon book, sometimes don't get payments mailed in plenty of time to them on time or at all, defective computer programming that improperly doesn't credit payment, intransigent management that won't talk w/a customer, intransigent IT that won't directly hear from customers about their defects). That said, this was not a mortgage this LLC originated, but obtained. Their mortgage origination processes *may* be less defective, but I suspect once established, the customer would still be exposed to the defective back office processes and the defective management behind them. I'm pretty sure these this outfit is not a Bunco scheme, but given how much bunco there is in U.S. finance these days, it's a terrible tell that their business behaviors looks so much like a bunco scheme. I wish their front-line phone people could get beamed out and into a company that deserves them.

I chose the Byron Center location due to the high quality of service but I'm sure the Beltline location is just as phenomenal. Their company-wide processes are iron clad and they're very much on top of their game. As a first-time home buyer I had many questions which Churchill answered with patience and expertise. They also provide unbeatable support around the clock, along with programs and options other lenders do not. They'll be my mortgage lenders for life!

His explanations were so easy to grasp and understand, but was always willing to explain again if needed. He was very prompt, answering questions almost immediately via text or email. He also provided weekly video updates every Friday afternoon staying where we were with the process. I appreciate everything Josh did, especially achieving final approval to close in just 14 DAYS! He is absolutely incredible, and I will definitely be returning in the future. The other teammates do a lot of behind the scenes action, but are also great about promptly contacting you when needed! I am the Seller of a property in which the Buyer is using VanDyk Mortgage. Over the years I have…read morepurchased and sold 5 parcels of property and never had issues to the degree that I have with this mortgage broker. We have been in the process of trying to sell the property to the same Buyer for the past approx. 6 months and still have not closed as a result of issues with the mortgage broker and the title company (Chicago Title Company). I have never been involved with such incompetent and ineffectual personnel. Problems stemming from not following instructions of the Seller, understanding basic arithmetic, and providing incorrect information on tax matters to a party who is an accountant.

Once they did it was about a 2 week process me and my dog couldn't sleep in the room. The water sat in the carpet and in the walls for about 3-4 days before maintenance did anything. It was the lack of urgency that drove me mad. I basically slept in my car and on the couch for 2 weeks. After move out I am now being charged for the carpet being lifted and messed up do to maintenance lifting it to dry it. What a terrible company.
