When you read my true account of what happened, you will know why I have replaced it with this one. If it were possible, I would give him a NEGATIVE 5. Many months ago, I scheduled an appointment with him because I needed gum grafting on two teeth. My first appointment had to be canceled due to icy weather, so I rescheduled. The day before my then initial consultation, his office called to reschedule because he was not going to be in the office. First red flag, but I made another appointment. After seeing him, I felt confident in my decision (he was referred by my dentist) because he was very nice, took time to explain in detail the procedure, and he seemed to be a caring guy. Every member of his staff was also impressive. My grafting took place on March 9, 2023. In addition to the grafting of two teeth, I had another tooth with a receding gum, but he said it could not be grafted but he could do a "deep clean" on that tooth and I agreed. This appointment was on a Thursday. The script for pain meds was one I am allergic to but was told to take Benadryl with it and I would be fine. That was not the case, so I called his office the next day, which was Friday. Dr. Poore was supposed to be in that day, but was not, so I had to go the entire weekend in pain because he did not call in the prescription. Red flag number two. Nineteen days after the procedure (a Tuesday), I started having a slight pain in the tooth that he had done the deep cleaning on. Each day after, the pain got slightly worse. We were in a different state on vacation, so there was no way I could pop in to see him. By the time we got back home, it was Saturday evening and I was no longer able to chew as the tiniest amount of doing so sent me into orbit. Sunday morning, I called his office voicemail and got his personal cell number. We texted back and forth. He said he would work me in the following day, Monday, and he would assess, call in pain meds and antibiotics. I called his office at 8:15a.m. to see what time I could come in. I was told he WAS NOT coming in that day! Even with the pain meds I had, there was NO relief in my tooth abscess pain throughout the weekend and it was getting worse. In addition, my jaw was swelling up with infection and I could feel it spreading to my ear and throat. They rescheduled me for Wednesday. As I was in the worst pain of my life, I went to my dentist on Monday, and she had to pull the tooth. Now, this deep clean has cost me many days of horrendous pain, the loss of my tooth, time off work and life, and $5000 to have an implant. On Tuesday, I called to cancel my Wednesday appt. with Dr. P. Message not received, so they called me early Wed. to let me know that he WAS NOT going to be in! Are you kidding me?! To their knowledge, nothing had been done yet, but no matter, he was not going to be in the office to help me. Save yourself a ton of pain, money, and time. If you value any or all of these things, find another periodontist.

As you should know most dentist if not all in Oklahoma City, will not be open on weekends or they just don't do major work, might pull x-rays or cleanings but light work only. My job is very demanding and I'm with the union so we don't get paid days off or holidays. So here at "North May Family Dental" if you don't "confirm" your appointment they give it away. I called them MULTIPLE TIMES, no answer, my son and I come in and we both need some cavity work or whatever, they tell me someone is already in the chair, mind you I'm early. Our appointment was at 9 am so how is it 8:50 and someone already taken the appointment. I will never use this place of business or recommend it to anyone. What kind of business gives your scheduled appointment away because you can't answer the phone at work to "confirm" and you call them back but they don't answer. That's ridiculous. I'm a full time father, no one is helping me take care of my bills but do they care no, just try to reschedule you a month out NO I don't think so, I'll take my hard earned money somewhere else.

They called me a few days after both procedures to check in on me and answer questions, they prescribe effective medicine, and they sent me flowers and a card after the implant procedure. She wanted to extract my tooth which had healthy roots and put a bridge on three of my teeth costing me more than $3000. Another clinic did a core build up, put a crown and saved my tooth for at least 20 more years. Extracting a tooth is the worst decision in your life and it should not be extracted if it has healthy roots. Never let these money motivated doctors take your money and ruin your mouth. They wanted to take out my entire tooth which didn't have any pain at all. It was just broken and needed a crown!

I had a failed root canal and was referred to them for extraction by my Dentist…read more They were pushing expensive implants. I did not indicate any interest in implants. I was there to have my failed root canal pulled. They charged me $250 for a 3D xray - I was led to believe that was needed to complete the extraction. I had to pay up front and they said my insurance would not pay for it. The dentist examined me went over my X-ray and said it needed extracted. i knew that already! They were unwilling to extract it that day and fast forward to now. I had difficulty with this office again in scheduling. I gave up and said send me my 3D xray. I then found a reputable Surgeon and took my 3D $250 xray to him. He informed me it was unnecessary and a simple xray is fine. It was then I learned that this office takes advantage of people in pain by pushing expensive unnecessary scans. so if I were going to get implants, this is the last place on earth I would get them. This office has problems keeping Dentists, they have different people every time you inquire.

I don't normally write reviews but from beginning to end, my experience with them was perfect!…read more I came in with a chipped tooth causing some pain and was frantic my deteriorating gums were the cause. Initially I was only seeking a periodontists care. I was seen within the week by Dr. Fuller. She made suggestions and a treatment plan with many options so I could choose what I was comfortable with and could afford. I didn't feel pushed or rushed and she was SO kind and patient with ALL of my questions and concerns. During my follow up consultation, I knew I would also need my wisdom teeth pulled. (I had been told that since I was 16 but was too nervous about the recovery). I was able to meet with Dr. Bryant the same appointment. He was also just delightful! I have bad dentist anxiety but he was just so kind and lighthearted. His temperament made me feel comfortable enough to add an additional 4 teeth being pulled to my treatment plan. Molly I believe, was the dental assistant helping them. She was very likable and personable and remembered details about me from our previous appointment that made my experience less intimidating. On the day of my actual surgery, I met Daphne. I believe she was also a dental assistant, who prepped me for surgery. She was GREAT! She was friendly, comforting, and fast. I felt more confident and less nervous because of how friendly and clearly efficient everyone was around me. In total, I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled, an additional tooth pulled (the broken one), a bone graft, as well as a deep cleaning/scaling of my teeth. All in the same surgery. I am known to have a low tolerance for pain but healing took less than a week! 2 days of minimal swelling and only Tylenol and ibuprofen necessary. A testament to their skill no doubt. It should also be noted that the front desk staff and woman heading the financial aspect of my surgery, were extremely helpful and courteous! While I could tell they were VERY busy, they still were so attentive, kind, and answered all of my questions. Overall I could describe my experience with them as friendly, professional, skilled, and successful. I am normally extremely apprehensive about dental work but from beginning to end, I felt comfortable and confident that they would do, and did, an excellent job. Thanks everyone! Truly! Lauren
