The first time I visited there was a scheduling mishap on my part, and Dr. Claassen was gracious enough to stay late to see me. Dr. Claassen is genuine, kind and honest with all his work. He made sure I was learning during a simple check up, not just about brushing my teeth but overall oral hygiene. Every review on here about Dr. Claassen is correct. I called to make an appointment and was able to get in the same day. Once I got there, I had to wait maybe 5 minutes between filling out my paperwork and my appointment. Everyone in the office is friendly, including the secretary! Dr. Claasseen was very thorough with his exam, even taking time to touch up one of my bonds (which looks great now!). He spent quite a bit of time with me. Cliff is also awesome and did a great job cleaning my teeth and taking my x-rays. I'd definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a new dentist! read more

Wow! Dr. Claassen is amazing! I went to a different dentist last year and had a terrible experience. I've always had great oral health and suddenly, this dentist wanted me to do thousands of dollars worth of dental work. I somehow gained many cavities overnight and my teeth were "ugly" according to him. He wanted to focus on cosmetic work. I felt so uncomfortable and never returned. I was hesitant to visit a dentist, again. Fast forward to this year. My friends have been seeing Dr. Claassen for years and they highly recommended him. I went to my first appointment. The receptionist called me prior to the meeting and gave me clear directions on how to get to their office. I was glad because I'm notorious for getting lost in buildings. I was seen within 15 minutes of my appointment time. Dr. Claassen was very down-to-earth and casual and chill but professional. I don't like how it feels to get my teeth cleaned but he put me at ease. Claassen was very hands on and did all of the work on his own! He walked me through my x-rays and gave me the most through oral exam of my life! He took the time to do a full examination without cutting corners and explained what he was doing and looking for. Oh man, being scared of dentists AND writing a review on one that is a 5-star? Who woulda thought. I went to Dr.Claassen on the recommendation of a friend when I woke up one day and couldn't open my mouth all the way. Claassen got me in next day and found out it was what I thought- my wisdom teeth were totally f'ing with my face. He gave me a recommendation to an oral surgeon and some pain killers. Everything worked out well and I have sent many a person his way because of how pleased I was with my experience with him. Surprised I haven't reviewed Dr. Claassen yet...but here goes. Yes, all the other reviews are true. Just come to this man for your dental needs. Here's why... We started coming because he seemed to be cleaning all the teeth of my husband's coworkers. The location then was a bit odd, Armour Blvd---before the gentrification. His office was simple. No flashy tvs advertising piano key smiles, no fancy shmanzy free cookies or coffee or other stuff you know you're paying for in your dental bill. His new office is on Broadway, and again, they keep it simple. I no longer live nearby, and I plan to eternally drive 30+ minutes to see this guy. Everything about Claassen's practice is straightforward. He has one dental tech (Cliff), one secretary, and one DDS. Cliff is sweet and very gentle with all the uncomfortable stuff (I mean whose mouths are those x-rays sized for anyways...Mr. T-rex???). Compared to other dentists, Dr. Claassen does a lot more of the work than others. He likes to be hands on with patients. He is efficient and usually has 1 patient back at a time. The wait is always minimal. He is kind, honest, and straightforward about what's going on in your chompers. I've always liked him and referred others to him, but when I had a dental emergency he catapulted to star status. Backstory--I've had a dental trauma in my past which has resulted in the loss of 3 teeth, and I was told that more may go. A few days before my first vacation with the hubs in over a year I noticed that one of the traumatized teeth was wiggling and hurting. I panicked. How will I enjoy all the vacation restaurants if I can't eat? How will I enjoy my vacation while trying to ignore the worry of another $5K dental procedure? Shit. I called Dr. C one morning and left a message requesting a call back. By 5PM, I did not have a call back, so I impatiently called again. Guess who answered the phone...Dr. Down to earth Claassen of course. I explained my predicament. He told me to come in the next day before office hours (7AM) to get checked out. Perfection for my panic, my work schedule, and my vacation time. He assessed me, gave me a root canal referral, told me to call them asap and do a Dr. C namedrop. By 8:30 I was finished with both Dr. Claassen and with the best root canal I've ever had. It was amazing service and I didn't think of that tooth once while enjoying my vacation. Everyone is correct. I work 45 minutes away, live 30 minutes away in Overland Park with a million dentists down the street, and I fight my way through traffic to see this man! I called to try to make an appointment because I have a chipped molar, and wasn't even able to make an appointment until we get our insurance card numbers! Dr. Claassen should be your dentist. Full stop. He's engaging and funny, and his staff is helpful and professional. It's a small practice, so you definitely get the type of personal attention you wouldn't get in a bigger office. In fact, if you're just in for a cleaning, there's a good chance Dr. C will do the full cleaning himself. Fortunately, I have strong teeth and am still cavity-free, so I don't have first-hand knowledge regarding his skill with more complicated procedures. But if a bigger problem ever arises, he'll be the first person I call. read more

Dr. Claassen, is an excellant Dentist. I would highly recommend him. He is very caring and does a great job. Unlike many Dentists today he does not try to pressure you into treatments that you not need. He will give you great treatment and does a really good. My only complaint is that he no longer takes my insurance so I am not able avail myself of his services. read more
