A fine shopping centre clearly riding the economic storms and staying out on top. Fareham Shopping…read moreCentre is a shining beacon of just how well you can do these days, even in a recession, if you just put your mind to it. And with excellent access from the A27, M27 or by Train it's easy to get there. This shopping centre has been around for years, I used to visit back in my 20's many years ago. It's always had a reasonable selection of shops but there was nothing very special about it. Well haven't times changed..my family make an effort to go here now and I'll explain why. The management have greatly improved the aesthetics, the entire shopping centre has been given a fresh lick of paint and a strong breath of ingenuity with artful designs giving a far more modern and confident feel. And rightly so, nestled in this 'minature Bluewater' are a vast selection of QUALITY shops such as Next, River island, Clarks, Waterstones, Thorntons, The Body Shop, Marks & Spencer and all the usual jewelery stores and mobile phone shops. Clearly the management have been busy over the last 10 years My family and I thoroughly enjoy visiting and perusing the many shops and numerous eateries here..the hours fly by. Security are in a large presence which is always nice to see and the entire place is meticulously cleaned. I rarely see 'mess' without a cleaner straight on it. Parking is always a problem in Fareham though. You have to be smart and come early to avoid issues. Either park in the High Street (time resticted though so be wary), behind the shopping centre (also restricted) or park in the large car park directly in front of the Apollo Cinema (but be prepared to queue and pay for the privilege). In Summary, a growing and stylish shopping centre weathering the economic troubles and succeeding. A vast selection of quality shops and resturants all under one, very well managed, roof. If only they could sort out more parking. My family and I love it and look forward to losing several hours again very soon. I score Fareham Shopping centre a firm 4/5.

It's laid out quite well with the men's stuff down one side and it's quite a big shop. I bought a t-shirt and didn't have to queue at the tills which was a bonus. On a side note the t-shirt had a gold design on that all come off in the first wash, but I couldn't be bothered to go back to Fareham to return it! New Look is not a place I'd choose to go myself to buy clothes. Also you have to go out the back entrance of the mall to find it.

The clothing appears to be of a reasonable quality although like anything take care what you buy as sometimes it looks better in the shop! The girls clothes are made very small, and I always have to buy a couple of years older - for the length only! Mens clothes are very good, they have been washed and worn many times and still look new. I had to laugh when my Husband left carrying a New Look bag, never thought I would get him into the store never mind buying, but he was delighted and highly rates it!

The store is packed full and with a buggy it is quite difficult to get from A to B. The racks are crammed with clothes and it takes some time to pick your way through to find what you want. If you have the time to spare and are prepared to search, then undoubtedly there are some brilliant bargains to be grabbed. There are plenty of tills and there is little waiting time to pay, even when it is busy at the weekend.

They are selling the 'Comic Relief' t-shirts I know it is for charity, but £14.99 for it & it does not seem to be the best material, one/two washes & it would look quite scruffy I think. Also I know Designers & Celebs put there mark on them to. This time not a lot took interest, but I find you find loads of things you want to buy or nothing really. Always worth a look though

If you are inside the store and looking for the cafe, then you've missed it as it is located just outside the main entrance! Food is reasonably priced and the breakfast menu is good value for money. BHS always reduce Christmassy stock well before Christmas Eve so resist buying early and you will bag yourself a bargain.
