This appraisal company is not professional and refuse to talk with the consumer and keep all communication with the bank. Once I finally got a hold of the appraisal it was a mess and had several errors. They gave me too much value in some areas and didn't give any value for an attached garage and 500 sq ft of mint condition enclosed patio area. At least ask your bank if there is an alternative to these guys. Or ask your realtor for a different company.

Denver area To say…read moreI'm disappointed would be an understatement. Anyone would be as appalled as I was. If this is the standard operating procedure for the company then they should be obligated to change the wording on their website which focuses on "professionalism, attention to detail, presented attractively, and outstanding results". I was out of town at the time but they assured me that's often the case and they prefer owners not be present. Friends and neighbors who attended the sale were shocked. They had never seen an estate sale done this poorly and in such a state of chaos. Only having 2 or 3 people working the sale given the amount of inventory was not ideal. Having relatively few items priced and customers having to ask for the price of each item is not a way to entice people to buy. Items for sale were completely covered, including the piano and beds. Almost none of the inside furniture was sold and I'm told either no price tags were on them or they were not visible. My expectation was that the items were to be displayed in an organized, clean, and presentable way. Instead, people were left to RUMMAGE their way through boxes. There was no attempt at merchandising. Jewelry was upended and in bunches, again NO attempt to be presentable. It's unclear if items in the basement were sold since that was cordoned off. The work was certainly unprofessional. If the staff was unable to do this properly, they should have refused the job. The website puts emphasis on experience, which is one of the main reasons I chose Prestige Estate Services. It is obvious why this sale was not successful. In terms of security and the care of the remaining items, the condition the property was left in by their team, with multiple items outside, was completely unacceptable and resulted in a security issue for both the property and my belongings. Based on security cameras it's evident people were still going through items left out days after and the house and yard became a magnet for random people. In addition, the city could have given by us a hefty ticket given the condition they left the property. I can't begin to express the disappointment and frustration with the lack of professionalism throughout this sale process. They charged $1,000 for the nearly nonexistent 'set up' out of my portion of proceeds. My realtor was unable to show the house until I hired someone to return it to the state I left it. The resolution they offered was a return of $300. The enclosed pictures are the aftermath but am told this is a fair representation of the sale while it was in progress.
