When I started looking for…read moresomeone to design a custom engagement ring for me I went into a building that had three jewelers. The first two we bigger stores with huge display cases and pushy salesmen. Then I went into Glasmann and Hanson and met Drew. The store is quite small and there isn't a lot in the display cases but don't let that turn you away. They are capable of designing anything you can come up with. I spent hours in the store with Drew asking questions about how to shop for jewelery and how to design a ring. Drew has the ability to design anything from scratch or modify an existing template. We went through just about every type of setting, metal and stone. Drew carefully explained the pros and cons of each one and helped me decide which one was right for me. After countless iterations and dozens of emails back and fourth I finally decided on a ring. For the record, Drew was able to take my general ideas and design a 100% custom ring from the ground up. After paying Drew gave me a date about 2 weeks out to expect the ring. It came in on exactly the day he said and I was completely blown away. It looked amazing and exactly like it did in the pictures. I couldn't have been more pleased. On a professional level Drew was an incredibly talented jeweler and designer with great taste. On a personal level he was wonderful to work with. Not only did he never pressure me to buy before I was ready but he practically deserves an award for putting up with my indecisiveness. The whole experience was perfect and I can't wait to go back and order the wedding band.

Unfortunatley, both our wedding bands ended up getting stollen. When we went back to them and explained the situation, the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure that the process of getting the new bands was seamless. Only the dial markers were reattached, and now there is no longer time to have the watch repaired before I need to wear it for an event. I could have had it repaired elsewhere in the same amount of time if they had let me know it would not be possible to repair it while it was in their possession. I'm honestly super upset to come back to pay for my watch to be repaired and learn that it still doesn't work. I didn't assume that keeping time was part of the service, I specifically asked for it to be able to keep time as part of the work order. No one called me, no one communicated that this would not be done. Instead they just played with my watch while real professionals could have been repairing it. Very upsetting.

When I raised the issue with the manager, he blew me off by saying, "Mistakes happen. We replaced your beads, so I don't know what you're so upset about. We've lost gold and diamonds before, so I don't know what your problem is." I explained he seemed to be taking his staff's side and that he wasn't trying to understand my perspective. Their "substitute effort" required multiple trips and phone calls on my part, taking time I didn't have. He just shrugged his shoulders. I told him I would be lodging a complaint with the BBB, and that he had lost a customer. He replied, "We won't accept your business here any more either." The staff was not only careless with my bracelet, but rude as well. They have lost a customer for life.

I went to pick up the bracelet and I didn't get my old clasp back. The staff acted like I was insane for wanting my gold clasp back and told me it was "baked into the price". I was told over a week ago they would try to get it back for me though it was likely "destroyed" by the jeweler but haven't heard a word from them. I've never had jewelry repaired or replaced before and not received my original items back. The ring I brought in for a quote and was a family heirloom. Due to a miscommunication, the jeweler did the work without getting my approval, not understanding I only wanted a quote at the moment. When the store called me to tell me what happened they told me it would be over $600. When I declined to pay that as I only wanted a quote, they called me back the next day and offered to "meet me in the middle" and I pay half. I again decline. Ultimately they did the right thing and didn't charge me. I do want to say the work done was beautiful but they kept the gold clasp from my bracelet and made changes to an heirloom piece of jewelry I wasn't yet ready to change without my approval. I will not be trusting them with any of my jewelry in the future.

I received a quote about 5 to 7 days later it would cost just under $300 to repair the watch. I elected to have the Watch sent back to me and I took it to King Brothers this morning. About mid afternoon I received a call that the watch was ready and the repair charge was $5!! I asked them to repeat the amount to confirm what I thought I had heard. Felix and his apprentice are the absolute best!! They are very fair, very honest and are truly professionals craftsmen in their field. We have jewelry that needs repaired, also. GREAT SERVICE!!

I didn't see the difference until I took them out of the jewelry pouch I put them in when I picked them up. When I went back to the store I was told that they only put one pair of earrings in at a time. So why did I get two different earrings back?
