Worst company ever. I don't usually write reviews, so the fact that I'm wasting my time to save someone else's has to say something. I've had nothing but problems working with this company. Let's see: 1. I went to interview with them, and the person running the interview was an HOUR late (talk about professional) 2. Between the interview and when I received a placement from them I worked with over ten different people, none of which were working together. 3. The one person I was working once placed, left the day that I started my new job, and no one else on the staff had any clue how to help me. 4. They got my hourly pay wrong once I received my paycheck 5. I found out I was working with my assignment company and RHT hadn't even made a contract with this company and it's been 4 months now. 6. The lady that I'm forced to work with weekly to get my paychecks signed is as daft as a rock. It's like seriously?! You are a recruiting company and your one sole job is to place people in other companies. How is that so hard? This should be a well oiled process. Cheers, /name/" The guy just wrote back" "Thanks /name/. The next step is a resume review. Please send resume" That's definitely not "sophistocated" and it's definitely not "personalized". Zero stars. Unless you like wasting your time, stay away. Won't go into all the details but just know these people are not worth the frustration and disappointment. They reach out with opportunities and then when you follow up they give you the run around saying the position was already filled. My partner received a confirmation email with a start date, salary rate and job location. He stopped applying to other jobs, bought new work wear. Then when he asked about the hours literally the day before he was supposed to start (because he asked days prior and got no response) suddenly the employer "wasn't looking to hire right away." OfficeTeam has been by far the best temp agency to go through. I was going through 3 other agencies before going to OfficeTeam and none of them were able to place me out, not even on a 1 week assignment. I finally gave OfficeTeam a call and they were able to place me out on an assignment the VERY next day. Heather, Bridget, Tra, Katie are GREAT! Love their response time - very quick on responding to emails and/or phone messages. I found a permanent position on my own 3 months later, but wasn't happy so I went back to OfficeTeam and they were then again, very helpful. As other Yelpers have said, these people are a resume mill and DESPERATELY need yours to fill their quotas. They're no different than most staffing agencies, which is why the turnover among recruiters is so high. I got an email from Erika Winkler on 2/21/2017 asking for me resume, as the position would be filled by the end of the day (her words). By 5PM, I got an email from her saying she would let me know if the client wished to proceed. Crickets after that. Ah, well, if you can't beat the recruiters, block 'em! I kept receiving emails about not submitting my timecard (which no one bothered to show me how to submit or where to go to even find it) and when I would call my recruiter, she answered hours later, even to my text messages ! I've been meaning to write this review for a while, and finally got the chance! TCG has undoubtedly helped me in my graphic design career through the past 2 years. I've worked a variety of contracts through this agency and have been helped by the rockstar recruiters in both the SF and Oakland office. From 2 week contracts to 6 month contracts... and now completing a contract-to-hire, TCG has been there with the opportunities. While I was working in SF and living in Dublin, I made the request to find a place closer to my home. Not only did I want to work close to home, but I also wanted good payment and the opportunity to convert to a full time employee. My first (amazing) recruiter was Bri, who's now moved on to another company... When she left I was a little afraid that I would be forgotten for my next contract; however, I was absolutely wrong. Taking her place, both Justin M. (Oakland) and Brandon D. (SF) worked tirelessly with me and landed me my DREAM JOB. My previous 3-4 hour roundtrip daily commute has turned to less than 20 minutes! I've got a gig that will be 100% converted to a full time employment opportunity, at an awesome company and the pay and benefits are great, too! The team at TCG have always been my advocate. This agency posts positions that do not actually exist. They call you to interview for positions but do not relay results of the interview. It is up to you finally catch up with the recruiter to find out the results of the interview. The pay is very low. Below market value. You could make more money working at a coffee shop. I do not recommend them. Update: I have called and repeatedly emailed them to find out if they had any opportunities and no one ever responds. It is absolutely ridiculous to be considered a professional agency when they lack the common courtesy to respond to simple inquiries. read more

Having worked with multiple (5+) staffing & temp agencies at different points in my career I know the deal and can differentiate between good & excellent service from the employee / worker side. My experience so far with the 2017 Office Team / Robert Half has really been wonderful. I just finished the sign up process including software testing etc. & there is still a chance my opinion will change. However, since I have in several categories received A+ service they've already earned my 5 stars. Why? Excellence, efficiency, rapid follow ups, going the extra mile and providing support & advice not directly related to the staffing transaction. At each step everything has proceeded smoothly, precisely as promised, which means a lot to me in this context. During the initial stages, I've asked for what I would consider "extra" help (resume advice / review and general hand holding for an unrelated job application) and received not only excellent support but a reassurance that for this organization the support I requested wasn't extra. This meant a lot to me both in terms of earning my respect and appreciation, as well as reassuring me that I really do have additional resources working behind the scenes to help make my next career moves more smooth and efficient. Even if these feeling don't pay they are strengthening my own efforts and have earned my gratitude. So with a direct acknowledgement to my new favorite staffing ally Margaret, who directly earned my 5*s, I will get back to working on my career! read more

This was not worth the effort finding on a map.Carolyn who I spoke to arrange an interview was eager to get me in to interview with my broad experience base and said she was certain that she could get me into at least one interview by the time I left. So since it SOUNDED very positive and promising, I went in two days later. I spent MORE time waiting in the office and filling out their zillion forms than I did actually talking to someone. I arrived 30 minutes EARLY to end up spending 45 minutes filling out a ton of forms. THEN the person i was suppose to talk to was late to the appointment SHE arranged during the that she was free. Then I was made to take tests on slow computers with sticky keyboards. Caroylyn, who interviewed me, left the office for the day and the lady I end up doing a closing interview was from the medical division. She had NO clue why I was there, what she was suppose to talk to me about. She didn't even have notes from the other person either. All she could ask me about was how I thought I did on my tests. That's the best she could do?! The after several months of NOT hearing from them, I get a call from the lady from the medical devision about a job she said i'd be great at. She asked me to write a bulleted list of some of my skills applicable to the job and email her. I was suppose to hear from them a few days later but did not. I called her to see if she had received it and heard anything back. She seemed VERY rude if not curt as if she was wondering WHY I was bothering her. She said she did receive it (although I didn't get any kind of confirmation of it) and it was forwarded to ANOTHER division that was suppose to contact me, NOT her. NONE of that she said to me when I spoke to her the first time when she made the initial request. I did EVERYTHING I was requested to do in a very timely polite manner yet they were still very rude and didn't seemed concerned about their own conduct. After discussing the jobs I was looking for she assured me that they would get back to me with some opportunities. The pros: You can send them tons of information via their website and "apply" for "jobs" there (I'm not convinced that you're actually applying for those jobs, or at least that you actually have a chance of getting them - I suspect they more often just use that to get an idea of what you are looking for). They can be very efficient: I applied on their website on a Monday, played phone tag Wednesday and Thursday, had an interview and testing Friday morning, and got a job that started the following Monday. There is also a wide variety of jobs available here, because OfficeTeam is part of Robert Half Intl. and has divisions that do healthcare jobs, law jobs, et cetera. The cons: Like any temp agency, departments and people don't aways communicate information well here. For example, a friend of mine received a call saying that she hadn't turned in her time sheet that week, and had to explain that she hadn't had any work. Also, maybe it's a weird coincidence, but my friend and I both got fired from the first jobs OfficeTeam got us - in both cases, for no apparent reason. (Her group was told that they could use the internet in slow moments, and then she was fired for using the internet at all; I was told that I had made a series of mistakes in filing, only one of which was mine, and given no opportunity to explain that - I had already been fired when they told me why.) On the bright side, they do keep getting you work even if you get fired from a job! My friend went on to make twenty dollars an hour as a "Word goddess;" I'm still looking. Oh, and as has been my experience with other temp agencies, I wasn't told how often or how at all to give them my availability for work - good thing my friend was there to give me the low-down. read more

This was the worst agency I signed up for. Not only did I go through all the sign up processes and testing to register with them, but then they never found me work. I was called several months later to be pressured to commit to a job on the spot when I had other offers I needed to consider. The agent was pushy and trying to get me to say yes to a long-term temporary job that I needed more information on. I felt it was unfair that the agent was not willing to wait a couple days, so that I could see what was happening with my other prospective offers. I'm glad I didn't bend while being pressured by her, because now I have a better job at a different agency. Do not go with them, but instead go for a different agency that is more willing to listen to your needs and actually find you work. read more

If you are a new law grad do not bother with this place. I called them to inquire re: temp work. I was directed to 'Sarah.'. She called me and asked for my resume saying that she likes to have a resume on hand while talking with applicants. I gave her my resume then she said she'd look it over and call me back. I never heard from her. A week later I wrote her to follow up but she never replied. I suspect she just wanted my resume for quota purposes. Anyway, horrible business. If I am ever in a position to hire temps I will never use this place. read more

I highly recommend Office Team (Oakland) for both temp work and permanent placement. My experience is that the staff here is very skilled in placing people in the right positions. I signed up with them after taking a year off of work and after being previously employed at the same company for 20 years. I chose a temp agency because with that much time at one company and then taking time off, I knew I needed feedback on my skills and perhaps some tutorials, as well as interviewing experience. And my thought was I would also work at a few companies and see what was out there. And I also chose Office Team over other placement agencies because they have a lot of experience in administrative jobs in the medical field, my area of expertise as an Exec Assistant for a big hospital. I met with Larisa, one of the Directors. She was, essentially, my first "interview." I was impressed with her style... direct, honest, no sugar coating. She gave me important information that I needed, since I had been out of the work force for so long. My computer skills needed updating, my degree should be completed, etc. She also helped me with my resume. Having come from a job where I was held in high regard, I had high expectations. But she brought me down to earth. And that was important... we can be in a little bubble about ourselves, our previous work experience, and need to understand that it's a tough market. YOU have to be willing to improve and adapt and make yourself a viable candidate for a company. And to support that, Office Team offers great online training and EVERYONE should take advantage of that. Larisa did her best to send me to temp jobs (where I had to interview... another big surprise) that matched my salary expectations and experience. After two bombs, the third was a hit, and I was hired on after six weeks. I wasn't intending to land a job, I was actually looking forward to temping for a while, but this job was such a perfect fit that it was great to be brought on permanently. Throughout my experience of interviewing, and then temping, Larisa encouraged and maintained a relationship with me. She gave me feedback and tips to improve and encouraged constant communication with her. Something to remember as an employee of this company... you not only represent yourself, but you are a representative of Office Team, your employer. Your obligation is to treat every day as an interview and be as professional as you can be. If you are serious about your profession and getting work, Office Team will work with you and make sure they place your correctly. Get your resume together, and make an appointment. They will help you every step of the way. Be realistic, be honest, be humble, be willing to make adjustments... And don't be afraid to let them know what is and isn't working... the goal for them is to find you what YOU want, and make a good match. read more

Don't waste your time with these jokers. I am a seasoned technology consultant, with an advanced University Degree, and having worked for scores of technology staffing firms, and Worldwide Technical Companies, I can honestly say that the senior and junior recruiters @ this office are the absolute bottom of the barrel. Their incompetence is overshadowed only by their sheer disdain for their job candidates and complete lack of professionalism. I reached out to this firm against my better judgement, and jumped through all of their ridiculous hoops, landed multiple interviews only to be discriminated against due to my level of experience and requirements for an extremely competitive rate, which RHI jacks up by 60% which makes it that much more difficult for the client to hire, even the most qualified of candidates. Their communication and interview tactics, candidate vetting process (if you can call it that), right down to their multiple fake job postings to get you and YOUR REFERENCES into their uncoordinated system, are all geared toward reducing your billable rate and your overall confidence, and increasing their gross profit margin through extensive and annoying sales calls to all your references. Talk about a formula for alienating people and crushing relationships. This company and their entire recruiting team will waste your time and lye to you. read more

This office is the most unprofessional group of people I have ever worked with. They contacted me about a temporary position, to start a few days from the day of our call. They told me that I had the position. Yet, I had to call them three times, with no response about a start time. I made arrangements for a babysitter, that I had to cancel the day before the, previously agreed upon start date. I left messages, and it's crickets on their end. I came upon Office Team by accident, but it has been a great experience so far. They contacted me fairly quickly and with my experience, was constantly contacting me with possible job interviews and openings. They gave me all the details of the job, what to research, and even gave me interview questions to mull over so I would be prepared for the interview. Since I was still in the process of moving, I did manage to do 1 phone interview and then, upon arriving in the Bay Area, I did an in house interview with a company and landed the job the day after I arrived. Seriously, I was super lucky! Office Team coordinated with the company about when I started and I just had to go in and show them my info. The staff I spoke to were nice, and big shout out to Jessica at whichever office for helping me out! The only thing I think is kind of annoying is that they told me the hours to start were 8:30-5:30PM and those were definitely not the right times. Luckily, I confirmed with the company on my training day. Office Team also provided me with online training videos, if I wanted to use them. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with my experience with Office Team. I don't know if I'll get hired by my current employer, but if I don't, I know Office Team will help me find my next job! read more

I love Office Team! I quit a job that I needed to get away from in October 2012 working a mix of promotional modeling gigs as an independent contractor and office/admin temp assignments through agencies for 1.75 years until I landed another full-time job. This mix worked as I was able to support myself financially and even go on a few vacations during this time without being stuck in a job I hated. I worked a lot through Office Team San Francisco office during 2013 and then in early 2014 took it upon myself to meet with their Oakland office (who I had previously only heard from once or twice) so that I could get gigs on my side of the Bay. At the time that I applied with this office I had a three week vacation to Japan coming up in a few months that they worked around very well. They were great at getting me short term assignments to fill in my schedule which is exactly what I needed at the time. They did also send me on a few interviews for long term temp or temp-to-perm assignments that didn't pan out, but that wasn't their fault. I think Office Team does such a great job of finding excellent candidates that their clients have a hard time deciding who to choose. On both interviews that I went through for this office and also through the San Francisco office the only feedback I was given by my recruiter was "They loved you and had no negative feedback. They just ultimately went with someone else." I have recommended Office Team to many friends and will continue to do so. read more

Honestly, I have had nothing but good experience with RHT. I have worked with a great recruiter named Allison and she has been nothing but supportive, has helped with my job search, interview coaching, and even has passed along information about Tech Conferences here in the Bay Area. I have worked with and for recruiting agencies and here is what I have learned: 1) You get out of them what you put in. E.g., calling at least once a week. . .keeping them posted on your job search, making sure you E-mail them jobs you are interested in that they post on Dice.com etc. 2) All agencies are in it for profit. They are not non-profit organizations. Once you realize this, then you will understand why, maybe a job pays $25/hr but you only make $21/hr. Now, some companies, such as Insight Global and Randstad have HUGE mark ups so you need to be wary of these. I made $16/hr once for a job the client company was paying the recruiting agency $25/hr. 3) If you find an agency does NOT meet your needs, move on. There are a ton out there. Not all agencies are a like or focused on the same things. All in all, that being said, I still feel that RHT is one of the better ones. At least from my personal experience.
