Terrible bedside manner! He gave me zero info on my medical condition. All I can say is this guy is a jerk.

After the successful surgery, Dr. Yoo was so comforting to talk to and reassuring. He explained everything about the surgery and how well it went. I don't have a deductable and they insisted that I had to pay that upfront. I understand the reason why. The next time I walked in, I was immediately told my co-pay when I asked about the the credit I have on the account, the girl looked at me really confused, she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about while the girl next to her was telling another patient about having to pay for an appointment as well as the co-pay. I presented my insurance statement showing that it was paid (a few weeks ago) and she walked away somewhat confused. She said she wouldn't charge "This Co-pay" and I couldn't get a clear answer as to when I would be seein a credit on my credit card.

I now understand why she is one of the few pediatricians accepting new patients. Can't wait to get back to Torrance Memorial where their pediatricians are OUTSTANDING. Best thing about a PPO -- firing her!

When I was expecting my first child, we met with Dr. Becker about a month out (one of the only…read morepediatricians who do this!) and she took the time to talk with me and answer any questions. She wanted to make sure we were a good fit, and I truly appreciate that. You can tell she is not trying to just get as many patients as possible and make money. She wants to have a healthy, trusting relationship with the parents and their children. She will not work with everyone, but I find that to be a good thing. She wants to be comfortable with the relationship between doctor and patient, and she wants you to feel the same! After deciding on her on as our pediatrician, Dr. Becker came to the hospital the day after our daughter was born (again, one of the only peds who do this!). To make a sad and long story short, our daughter ended up passing away two weeks after birth. Dr. Becker and her staff sent a card and flowers. It was very touching. When my son was close to being born a year later, we again decided to go with Dr. Becker for our peds. When I called her office, I was shocked and a bit emotional when they remembered me! And my daughter. Anyone who can relate to this type of loss understands what a big deal this is. Dr. Becker again came to the hospital the day after my son was born--this is her common practice, not special treatment! She helped me so much that first year of being a "new mom"--answering questions in person or by phone, always in a very timely manner. I have gotten a same-day response from their office every time. My son had a severe milk and soy allergy, and Dr. Becker helped us team up with an amazing pediatric gastroenterologist. Together they helped us tremendously. I now have my third child, and I confidently went through the process yet again with Dr. Becker. With Covid and everything else going on, I can't tell you enough how important it is to have a pediatrician you trust. With Dr. Becker I have peace of mind. To round out this review, I'd like to mention that the staff is excellent! They are knowledgeable, friendly, on time and organized! And best of all, you can tell they love children, and don't get tired of seeing them! I hope we never have to move because I never want to find another pediatrician.

I tested the email and asked for confirmation before sending the actual report--I wanted to make sure I'd copied down the address correctly. I waited two days with no reply. Finally I called again today, waited a long time, finally got through, and although she confirmed receipt of the email, she did not apologize for ignoring it and failing to confirm receipt. I said that's okay, I'll email the actual report now that I know the email address is correct. In the meantime, she began to ask me intake questions, including about a future doctor's appointment with a new doctor I have not even met yet. When I asked about the relevance, she became very terse and said it was for my safety. She then asked which hospital this new doctor was affiliated with. I told her I did not know and would need to Google it for her. She said, "I don't know is not an acceptable answer. Are you prepared to continue answering questions?" Then while I was Googling the doctor's address, she hung up on me! Imagine how you'd be treated as a patient if this is how you are treated on the phone. I will not be rewarding this rude behavior, which I see from the other reviews is a pattern. No surprise that they are partly owned by private equity! (Google it, 2017).

My husband recently had major surgery and was referred for a procedure with Dr. Shah. He was unable to make the call himself, so I called to make the appointment for him, with him on the line. Kendra answered and it was disgusting how rude she was. My husband verified his identity and gave verbal consent for me to set the appointment for him. Kendra cut me off every time I spoke and would only speak to my husband, not to me. I asked for the address, because my husband was under the influence of prescribed medication and Kendra refused to give me that information, which is not even private. It is an embarrassment to the office and doctor how ignorant and unprofessional Kendra is and the lack of communication skills she has for a job working directly with the public. Kendra has no respect for patients and her attitude is gross. Kendra: under HIPAA, an authorized personal representative has the same rights as the patient to access Protected Health Information.
