He is a professional and this last visit I dodged a bullet from the dentist here who didn't do enough bone graft for my implant. Dr Rivera showed me how it was right below my sinus and the screw would have went into my sinus! He put in the screw and grafted more bone and I had no pain after! Amazing! On the day of the appointment I did not want to proceed, but I stupidly let them talk me into it. I had hope. They extracted my lower right molar with the plan of placing a bone graft and screws to bridge two teeth. I woke up to the dental surgeon cursing and swearing to himself. I was seen again two days later. By then the whole area had opened up and the implant screws and bone graft were exposed. The surgeon poured what he called "acid water" (hydrogen peroxide) directly into the open wound. I screamed in pain. I flew home hoping it would heal. The stitches were extremely painful. Later I flew to Tijuana trying to get it fixed. Again they talked me into another attempt. It failed within a week and I had to fly back. I lost all the money, a lot of time, and a tooth I never needed to lose. I now have ongoing bone loss in the area, plus permanent changes in my taste buds and sense of smell. Shop around. Get multiple opinions. Trust your gut. Do not get fooled like I did.

You watch TV and listen to Shakira while they work on your teeth. Dr. Itzel literally moves rhythmically around the dentist chair, appearing to be dancing, enjoying every moment of the service. They had many functional issues and were a source of embarrassment. I had a life-long dream of being able to smile freely, opening my mouth. I had gone to Orthodontist offices, Dental Colleges, and every kind of Dental office in North America for more years than I attended school. I was always quoted a price that would equal to that of a luxury sports car and told my jaw would need to be broken in surgery. For years I watched with leery interest as friends went to have dental work done in Mexico. I finally decided to take the plunge after MUCH research. Fidel accomplished what I had so often been told was impossible. I was worried that my teeth would look like "Chicklets" as I saw in other returnees. Not so. People that don't know me are shocked the teeth are not real. Dr. Fidel Sotelo Vergara and his staff speak English. He has translators available for the initial consultation etc.. For 1/10th of the costs that I had been quoted, I was able to have my teeth fixed and an extended vacation in a BEAUTIFUL place. My teeth are on the extreme but root canals and other small fixes are also very affordable. I was able to have all surgery, and dental work done on site. The lab that constructed my teeth (from Zirconium an incredible substance) is also on site. I hope this review can bring others the health and happiness Cabo Dental has given me.

It took me a while but after talking to many ex-pats and residents of San Jose del Cabo and interviewing three dentists, I chose Dr. Ocampo Vasquez who asked Dr. Gonzales Mancilla to crown six teeth which needed to be done badly. I would like to highly recommend the two dentists. In my opinion both dentists are very personable, professional, and competent and speak English. I was in the chair with Dr. Gonzales Mancilla for over 10 hours with no noticeable discomfort. Not only am I very happy with my new crowns but I also saved almost 60 % of what this work would have cost in Canada. My vacation in Mexico was thus supplemented by the cost savings for my crowns. I have no vested interest in the two dentists mentioned above. I only wish to pass on the information to the people who wish to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
