This is not the dentist office you grew up with to say the least. I look forward to my dental visits both with the staff at check-in & Val and Dr. Baird with the care in the back. My teeth are in tip top shape and routine care is always a fun experience due to their care provided and knowledge shared on oral care between the 6 month visits. The dentist only discussed those findings after I had signed. I became extremely distressed and was crying, and explained that I was considering a different treatment approach, including extraction and dentures, and why I felt that was more appropriate for me. I was told to discuss this with my husband, and the cleaning proceeded. I felt too overwhelmed in that moment to get up and leave after I had already signed for the treatment. I do not feel I was given enough information at the time I signed to make an informed decision, and the information provided afterward significantly changed my treatment preference. I left feeling that I had not been given a meaningful opportunity to make my own decision about whether to proceed. When I complained, the office told me that it is their standard procedure to have patients sign for treatment before the dentist discusses their dental findings with them.

The front desk insisted that they had called me, but I never received any notice. Instead of offering a solution or any apologies, they tried to reschedule me three weeks later. This experience was extremely frustrating -- I took time off but only to be turned away at the last minute. I asked for a partial refund because the other dentist charged me 800.00 to paste it back in. Ideal Dental refused to refund anything. Be very aware of this practice; they are in it for the money. Once you are not a patient, they are very rude.
