He looks over my property and says I also need 6 Palmettos trimmed and my 6 acre pond needs the sides done. He tells me he has to rent a machine to do the pond, but it would deter snakes and alligators if I did this. He quotes me $2400. The other two responses were $300 to just take out the two fallen trees. Not wanting snakes,etc - I agreed. For $2400 I thought it would be a couple days job. He and his brother show up to cut the two trees and trim the Palmetto. He rings the doorbell to tell me he can't do two of the Palmettos because of hornets. I give him spray. Still can't do it. He goes to get the machine to do the pond. Finished that in about 5 hours. I commented the Palmettos don't look trimmed enough. He says it us too late in the season to trim more. Hmmmmm! Then I walk around the pond and he has broken 2 more trees. He denied breaking them, but came back to cut those down. At this point I question the $2400. Trey stated that is the standard day fee for their work. My take- he looks at the size of your house and makes up the price as he goes. So if you want to be ripped off- hire this company. Otherwise look elsewhere for moral, decent tree trimmers. And PS- still had water moccasins and then we got an alligator
