Only two & a half hours out of Sydney this little slice of serenity can be enjoyed and savored. It's neat, tidy and so charming with its period pieces and country comforts. Yes .... it gets cold down here in Winter time but the central heating takes care of all of that ...... you really don't need all the comfy blankets and rugs supplied. You have the Kangaroo Valley shops just meters away ..... including a Lolli shop, two fresh pie shops, a handful of cafes and a pub ...... so you are all set. It's so lovely here I was considering making an offer on this lovely hideaway.

The gardens are beautifully maintained and provided a great backdrop for the outdoor wedding. The one minor concern my friends had was in the case of rain - with the exception for the dinner reception, everything else took place outdoors. There would have been some mad scrambling if the weather didn't cooperate! Overall, a lovely wedding venue or a quiet country getaway, whatever tickles your fancy.

Several times a year they have a range of events from playing host to the regular Cockatoo Run, the occasional steam train, vintage car days, spring fairs and so on. In October they have the best waratah display you will find anywhere. The grounds are always looked after and they have picnic tables for your enjoyment. They also have the Fettlers Shed Gallery which shows some pretty good art works a few times during the year.
