There's a large range of light globes also. Eglo is from German origin and is the manufacturer and are well established in Europe, so Eglo here in Edwardstown sell what they make and do not distribute for other companies, in fact other lighting retailers in Adelaide purchase from them. We have purchased several lights for our home, ceiling and floor standing lighting and have been happy with our choices. Eglo do not install but they can advise what lights are suited to where. It's a family owned business and at times I have found the female (the matriarch type) to be a little stand offish (she must've been having a bad day) and one of the guys I found not very helpful on previous visits. But...there is one other man there who is fantastic (dare I say 'balding', I forgot his name). In fact I waited to be served by him, despite being approached by the other one if I needed any help whom I fobbed off, as I heard how he was speaking to the customers he was serving before me. He even delivered my beautiful gold floor standing uplights, to my home! So if you're in the market for some lighting of any type go there and have a look, plus when they have a sale on their front windows have bright signage splashed across the front. The sale prices are at excellent reduced prices usually and you can be assured the quality of manufacture is to European standards...and try to get the guy with the description I mentioned you'll know who I mean when there.

No wonder they have won awards here and there for their work. They are (obviously) a family business, and they do have their showroom in the city along with one out at Holden Hill, there's a web site and a factory where they do the building of the various elements that then get expertly fitted into your renovated home, your new home or your facility. They are not the costless version of kitchen fitters, they're not the most expensive but they are in the high end range price wise; you only have to look at the style elements and materials they favour to get an idea of how beautiful their work is, and how superior it is to the more generic kitchens available at places like Bunnings. If you have to capital to create your own dream home I would suggest you visit their website for a browse, and then get an appointment to go into the gorgeous showroom in the city if you want a more hands on experience.

They don't usually do installation but in this case they did for me. They provided the cheapest quote out of three others I saw ($1100 less! ). There is no sales pitch or attitude that you often get from well known flooring companies like carpet court. Michael the owner is straight up. There was a bit of a hick up with the installer, but he made sure it got done and even helped out himself. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I'm really happy with their service and would recommend them to anyone.

There are a couple of things which set Redecorate apart. The first is that they specialise in recycled curtains. By this, I do not mean something you could pick up at Vinnies, these are really high quality and heavy weight. As anyone who has redone the furnishings in their house in earnest knows, curtains are bloody expensive! What a great idea to up-cycle them like this. They have a bunch of furniture in the store and plenty more in storage, most of it in Victorian and Georgian styles. They also offer a home styling service, that's right, they'll come to your house and do it for you and chances are they've already got all the gear on hand to do it!

I have coveted genuine floorboards for many years after making the mistake of installing laminate…read morefloating floors a few years back, what a total waste of my hard earned$$$$$ that was. A couple of years ago I started researching replacing them. I went to the chain carpet places, and all the floor places on Magill Road. Most of these places recommended Engineered timber boards, but having been disappointed by laminate I wasn't so certain. True these stores had a range of solid timber, but wow was it pricey, over $200 sq m laid in some quotes. Then one day the lovely "Mr Bracegirdle" from the chocolate cafe, told me all about the floors in his shop and the contact # of his installer. This tradie highly recommended European floors. The showroom is wonderful, the range of timbers extensive and the staff both knowledgeable and helpful. I picked a timber unavailable at the other stores which was extremely competitively priced, they stored it for free for 4 months, arranged reasonably priced delivery. Now this process isn't for people with OCD, I've have 60sq being laid and it will take over a week, but it's looking fantastic and will last for a very long time

Wow, when we first dealt with Aldinga Home Improvements, I thought I'd be giving them one star …read more.. but they really turned their service around and now I'm giving them 4! We received a quote for a lot of fencing and a carport - it took 6 weeks for the quote to come in, and we were pretty annoyed (especially since we had to keep chasing and chasing them!). After getting other expensive quotes, we grudgingly decided we still wanted to use them (it was quite a difference!). After seeing the manager Simon (who was excellent), we realised that the sales rep we had was the issue (saying quotes hadn't come in when they had, not making proper notes of measurements, etc.) - and that she was no longer working there. After that, the service was excellent! We ended up having the fencing done first, and everything was coordinated efficiently and quickly. The subcontractors doing the retaining wall were awesome as well! They always turned up when they said they would, and finished the work ahead of time. All in all, we ended up being very impressed, and will definitely get them back to do the carport - what a turnaround!!
