I was assigned to work with Robin through "Lifeworks" a company that is an additional benefit through my employer as I felt my daughter could greatly benefit from counseling. Throughout my few months with Robin, she was never on time, if she would show up at all to the zoom meeting. The only thing she wanted to talk about was my mood/anxiety, however I have that well under control and was never my focus or reason for contacting them. I would bring up my daughter and was offered zero help with what those problems were. She asked me to make a chart of my daily moods before bed each night as an "assignment" for me to work on and discuss in the next meeting however on the next meeting, she never showed up. I haven't heard anything from her. I feel like I was ghosted by this therapist. What a terrible experience. I do not recommend anyone seeing her. read more

It saddens me to say that going to Robin was a waste of time. My wife and I went in for marriage counseling, and she unprofessionally informed us with a chuckle that she thought we had gone to her too late. She may have been correct, but that doesn't strike me as something a therapist should say to her clients. Not only did she say something that eliminated any hope we had that things could be worked out (hence going to marriage counseling to begin with). She validated anything my wife said without letting me get a word in edgewise. In fact, she talked almost only to my wife for the entirety of both of our sessions. The office was pretty nice. I guess that's worth a star, but I can honestly say that Robin caused more harm than good. Maybe she's okay to give therapy to a single person, but she sure is terrible with couples. I wonder if I can have my divorce attorney send her the bill. read more

I, sadly, have the same message for anyone seeking help as Jay has about Ms. Raber. His poor review of Robin was not specific to him. This so-called therapist is at best unprofessional and at worst recklessly irresponsible with her feedback. She handed me a photocopy of the first two chapters of a workbook as a response to my request for analysis. Even more concerning than that was having to repeat basic information about myself numerous times. Each time she would scribble out what what I said (information such as my medications) in a small corner of her page as if she was actually paying attention. Robin wasn't simply unable to remember basic information about me or incapable of managing her appointments. She couldn't possibly pay attention to me, Jay or any of her other clients with her cell phone distracting her throughout each session. She wouldn't even have the courtesy to excuse herself for a potential emergency. Each vibration or ping distracted her and she would take her time to get back to the conversation without apology. This is the same way she keeps her schedule. She is totally distracted, writing diagonally across the page instead of line by line according to the normal hourly day. This method is clearly problematic given that she asked to reschedule our first few appointments, again without apology, and sometimes through texts as if it were the most insignificant request in the world. She clearly has no concept of how to make her clients feel secure in the most basic was, such as keeping a reliable schedule. I have often said that poor therapy has got to be worse than no therapy, and after trying to address the issues with Robin that I had with her lack of professionalism only to be met with yet more unprofessionalism in the form of defensive contempt, this truth was once again confirmed. She threw at me the old therapist's defense against their "crazy patients" that I was projecting my stress onto her. This, sadly, is just too much of a stretch for her to make given her blatant incompetence. The patient is supposed to be the one with the issues, but in Robin's case, you will be tending to her needs instead. Her lack of skill is very unfortunately coming at our expense. Not only is Robin incapable of working with couples, but she was unprofessional in a one-on-one setting as well. After reading Jay's reviews I was even more grateful for being able to find surveys and comment sections on the numerous websites where Robin appears. Wisconsin should be warned against confiding in this person. She is defensive in her responses about the smallest exchanges. I wasn't interested in reading a book that she recommended, for example, and her sense of rejection was palpable. She accused me of not "doing anything" to help myself. That hurt me a great deal, as I was feeling quite vulnerable at the time. And this, mind you, was only our third meeting. She barely knew anything about me at this point, but one thing that she knew for sure was that I already had a stack of books referred to me that I was reading. This must have been threatening to her. Not a good weakness for a therapist hoping to help at all. And she didn't. Word to the wise: stay away from this one. read more

If I could review with no stars I would. Robin is terrible when it comes to family therapy also. I was going through a divorce with a woman who I caught at least 3 times cheating on me. She lied about me to my children. My son who just turned 18 thinks what his mother has done to me is terrible and he has pretty much distanced himself from her because he saw who the true evil person was in the situation. My daughter however was and still is under 18. I was fighting for joint custody of my daughter and equally shared placement. My ex thought it would be great to brainwash my daughter against me. I was forced by the court system to go for counselling. I came to Robin to fulfill the court requirements. I told her and showed her evidence of what my ex-wife was doing. Robin blew it off, made me look out to be the bad guy here when all I wanted to do was be a responsible father to my daughter and be involved in her life. The Guardian ad Litem and Social Worker assigned to my case even put in their reports that they felt the mother was fueling all of the hatred towards me. Robin wrote her lame report and caused me to now not even be allowed to talk to my daughter or have visitation with her because of how horrible the court system is. I write my daughter an email weekly and send it to her. Her mother changed her phone number so I do not have it anymore. In order to try and talk to my daughter I have to call my ex-wife's phone. Then, if my daughter is around which she rarely is when I call(how convenient) I do get to talk to her for about 30 seconds. The entire time it is an angry attitude from my daughter and her mother is saying in the back ground tell your father to F&^% off and hang up on him. I have not had visitation with my daughter since Feb. 2012 because my ex will not comply with the court order. Unfortunately I am still paying off all of the fees from the divorce so I do not have the money to go back to court. So, in closing I have to say Robin is a poor excuse for a therapist and Should not even be allowed to have a license and practice. read more
