We were nervous before the meeting that any real estate agent would give us a hard sell on either (a) considering condominiums, or (b) looking outside the price range where we felt comfortable. My husband and I had even heard rumors that some buyers agents weren't interested in working with people whose budgets were modest. We shouldn't have worried. Instead of pushing us in any direction, Patrick took great care (and lots of time) during that first meeting to talk about the process, answer our questions, and get to know us. He assured us that he'd never try to get us to spend more than we could afford. He said he would never ask us to consider options that wouldn't make us happy. After a single weekend -- and a few open houses -- Patrick understood what we were looking for better than we could even articulate to ourselves. (For example, he realized, before we did, that we wanted a yard more than we wanted a second bathroom). Patrick held our hands through some tough decision-making, was always available, and never talked down to us. We closed on our first home a few days ago, entirely thanks to Patrick. He is a credit to his profession. Before I met Patrick, I wasn't even really sure what a "buyers' agent" really did...now I would never consider telling anyone to embark on this process without one. I will be recommending Patrick to everyone who will listen. I am so happy with the entire process.

We first met Doug Morrow through a couple of our neighbors about 10 years ago, and when we decided…read moreto sell our house in Lynn, we remembered Doug primarily as being relaxed and easy to talk to, a really nice person. Our memories of his profession came only secondary. Although our primary memories are certainly accurate, it's been through our secondary memories that we benefited greatly through the sale of our house in Lynn. We decided on Doug Morrow for a number of reasons, and now through our fortunate firsthand experience, we recommend Doug Morrow unreservedly as a superb real estate professional! First and foremost, Doug is very familiar with real estate laws and their nuances. He can and did interact as a real estate agent very well and very easily with both the sellers' attorney and buyer's attorney in the sale of our house particularly with regard to the documents of the trade, e.g. Purchase and Sales Agreements, Certificates of Habitation, etc. Almost as important, Doug knows his way around Lynn City Hall - a nearly impenetrable edifice, which is mostly beyond comprehension of the average citizen and often stands in the way of the average citizen (if not actively standing against the average citizen). Doug navigated city hall and obtained certain documents as well as very particular information with regard to the sale in a most skillful manner, a skill developed after many, many successful years in the real estate profession. Thankfully, Doug facilitated our path through that part of the process, and we emerged unscathed! Not only was Doug a perfect liaison between sellers' attorney and buyer's attorney, he is simply a good liaison. As our exclusive sellers' agent, Doug represented our (sellers') interests masterfully, yet he maintained a smooth working relationship with the buyer, so that the buyer never found himself in an adversarial position with us. By way of a personal opinion, this was due in large part to Doug's easy-going, relaxed personality. He gets along well with all types of people. With regard to the selling strategy, Doug placed us onto an improvement plan that ultimately added tens of thousands of dollars to our sale price. In short, my wife and I are now very handy with spackle and paint -- the colors brilliantly chosen to fit the rooms, and we observed small but vitally important open house "no-no's." There should be no medicines of any kind in the bathroom medicine cabinets. Remove all personal items of importance from view, e.g. jewelry, important documents, etc. No toilet seats should be open. No food in the refrigerator beyond a (very) few symbolic items, and those should be fresh. Although Doug had originally intended a "360 video" taping of the house, the video team's schedule was not able to accommodate our open house date. Instead, Doug invited a successful Boston photography studio professional on short notice to shoot the house. Her photographs were almost works of art. They certainly portrayed our house in its very best possible light, and her photo shoot generated such a buzz on Redfin.com, Zillow.com, Trulia.com, et al that the general prediction was the house would sell within 9 days - indeed it did! The house is a three-story single-family structure. Doug was accompanied by two associates for the open house. Each of the three monitored a floor to be immediately available for questions and to provide a certain level of security for that particular floor. Without a doubt, the integrity of our house was in good hands throughout the showing. From beginning to end, Doug Morrow conducted himself as a dedicated, knowledgeable - and caring - professional. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone better in the field. Doug Morrow has our sincere and enthusiastic endorsement. Call him for a chat and decide for yourself. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain.

Although I am sure that he has many clients, he never made us feel like we were just a number because he was always on top of our case, moving things along, and communicating effectively with our mortgage people and, once we had made an offer, the sellers' agent. When we weren't sure what to do or how to proceed, it was very reassuring to know that Doug has many, many years of experience in real estate on the North Shore. He was able to contextualize some of the issues we were looking at (anywhere from deciding on a property and negotiation of the offer to the results from the inspection and the appraisal) within his broad experience, which made us feel better as first-timers who were not really aware of the process. I would not hesitate to recommend Doug to anyone looking to buy a house, but first time homebuyers should know that you could not find a better guide through the sometimes stressful and confusing process!
