Just dealing with this law firm's phone system, I guess company, was SO TERRIBLE! I called their Westminster office number to set an appointment with Alyssa Little, one of their family attorneys. Their receptionist asked me to spell ALYSSA'S name to try and find her. They then had to call me back, at which point they asked a half an hour's worth of questions to only tell me that Ms. Little doesn't have any consultation appointments until December(it's October 6) Why is this law firm wasting people's time who are calling with real custody issues? I guess they don't need the business. How about the owner who commented show respect and call people back BEFORE you get a negative review? Their accounting department is constantly hounding you to replenish your retainer and they are very rude when doing so. They call from many different numbers and several times a day immediately after there invoice is sent out. You have to scrutinize the billing because they charge you for documents that weren't even submitted and emails that were not even sent out. This firm seems to be nefarious in there billing practices and have received several complaints on the BBB to date. Use discretion if you are going to hire them!! Starting out at first with R&H was a good experience. I was assigned to a lawyer who worked hard and diligently on my case. The lawyer decided to leave R&H firm and gave me a decision to stay with the firm or with him at his new firm, I choose to stay with my lawyer. Within the process of leaving R&H, they have decided to go against their own words in their own contract stating any money not used in the retainer balance would be returned within a timely matter, however that is not true. My lawyer made this decision two weeks ago and R&H have yet to even begin the process of getting me my money back to me. Throughout the time working with R&H financially has been exhausting and time consuming, they care about money as a whole not clients, which is why I wanted to stay with my lawyer as he does care and I can see why he left such a toxic money hungry law firm. We worked with Cody Riley on a business contract situation. Seemed like we got billed thousands of dollars to review the same documents Over and over again. We were close to 9000 in and only got a demand letter done, that wasn't done on the time frame promised allowing the other party to disregard our abortion clause and file with the courts on a fraudulent counter suit pushing our case out months. We finally ran out of money leaving us to defend ourselves. We were told at consultation the entire thing would be 7500 we had more billing than that just in reviewing the same paperwork multiple times and phone calls to discuss the same exact thing. We replenished our account with 3 grand days before deciding ot wasn't for us. Then days later we got a bill for work that wasn't even done taking the entire 3000 plus more on top. Ripoff & Henry is the worst! Their attorney's substantially failed to fulfill their obligation to this client regarding their lawyer's services stated in the contract. For a divorce financial records and documents are required by Colorado State Law. I told them, on the free consultation call, that my husband would not produce them as he has income and assets to hide. They said "No Problem, he can't do that because we can just subpoena them". Once they had my retainer the challenge of hearing from them began. Words can't begin to describe their lack of communication. First they assigned an attorney that's leaving the firm to my case. Then the one they did assign to me really could have cared less. I had to call or email mail him to find out how and if my case was progressing. Most of the time he didn't even answer my questions. Then you're charged for him reading your emails and updating you.I believe that is intentional on their part as a billing practice. They mislead and misinformed me. In my case I was flat out lied to. I spent almost $20,000 that I had to borrow and they didn't get the documents and financial disclosures from my husband that they were retained to. They refused repeatedly to get the documents subpoenaed and after Discovery, when they still weren't produced, they didn't file any of the sanctions available that would have compelled my husband to produce them. They just kept billing. They ripped me off insisting we go to Mediation without documents. I had spoken to the Mediator prior who told me it was not advisable to go to Mediation without documents. The result was zero and after that Ripoff and Henry still refused to get subpoenas. After my husbands attorney realized what clueless representation I had that they filed for court dates in hopes that the judge would rule with the limited and incomplete documents they intentionally provided which is exactly what they were hoping for. Then Ripoff and Henry demanded an additional $5,000 retainer for court prep costs. At that point I said no documents, no court! We need to postpone.I was told by one of their other attorneys "that the court dates can't be postponed". That is an out and out lie! I called her out and then Ripoff and Henry withdrew as my council. I'm a 71 year old woman, that lives on Social Security. I feel that Ripoff and Henry intentionally told me how quick and simple it was going to be and then took unfair advantage of my age and vulnerability. My son assisted me in getting and filling out the subpoena forms. We took them to the court clerk and got them signed. It took all of 15 minutes and was FREE. This could have been done months ago by Ripoff and Henry. After months of repeated requests, Ripoff and Henry failed to even attempt to negotiate a settlement or explain why they kept refusing to get subpoenas. The only thing Ripoff and Henry do get is your money for the basically the nothing they do. A word to the wise, don't even consider using Ripoff and Henry. If this firm can take unfair advantage of a 71 year old woman just imagine what unfair advantage they will take of you! read more

I had a simple contract to go over. After an hour of what I could have picked out myself, I was told by the lawyer Andrew Kurpanek, that he had no intention of representing me. He had mentioned in the beginning he recommended I have an attorney from another state look over my contract ( which my new attorney told me was ridiculous since it wasn't a state specific contract.) They did not follow my instructions and they did not keep me informed, making major decisions without my knowledge or approval. In preparing for trial, the lead attorney worked from a complaint that had been withdrawn, so he had no knowledge of the actual complaint until we met 3 days before trial. They charged me several times what they should have based on their initial quote and specific instructions I provided, and I had to accept a terrible settlement offer because of the lead attorneys incompetence. read more
