Amazing service. Wide selection of lighting. Affordable or extravagant peices. Clearance in august and september. There is quite the selection of peices online. But to save you time. Just narrow down the search to the particular style you want and come to the store. Service is spectacular here. Upon walking in, i was greeted and helped instantly. There are some beautiful peices here for any price range. The nice part is that everything is hung and lights are on so you can see the full effect. The ceilings are 12 feet high so they are typical of most homes. They have lots of sale items which are typically the last lf the item and are used as displays. These can be bought and taken home the day of sale. Other items if are not carried in stock take about 4 weeks...any sooner and its possible for damage to occur to the lights. I luckily snagged an amazing peice for just $39 regular $450. It was the last of its kind and display but they were doing the clearance to make room for the new inventory which arrives in october. Within one hour i had my peice all cleaned up like new and packaged nicely for transport. They sell all sort of light bulbs here too. So you can get all your needs met on one visit. The difference of here and the chain stores are that the service is spectacular. Theres a wider selection. And you get to see displays in use so that you can visulaize the light they give off. We recently completed a home renovation and I made many trips to Robinson Lighting & Bath Centre to look at and purchase bathroom sinks and fixtures, a laundry room sink, kitchen and laundry room faucets and light fixtures. I encountered several different sales people and also dealt with front desk staff. The service provided by everyone - specifically sales consultants Michelle, Cheryl and Shawn - was excellent! They were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. I am very happy with the quality of all the products I purchased and the prices didn't seem unreasonable. But I would recommend Robinson for their customer service. read more

This place has the worst customer service ever. We walked in on an evening where there was maybe 1 or 2 customers in the store and about 5-6 employees (visible). The secretary at the front looked up when we walked in and said hi. That was it... we then proceeded to walk around the store and not a single person approached us and yet they all saw that we were in the store, looking around. And it wasn't that we were just browsing, we actually needed a lighting package for our new home. After walking around the store, passing by their employees, which by the way were sitting at their computers gabbing, we decided that we wanted nothing to do with this place and we walked out. The secretary at that point didn't even say bye or anything. HORRIBLE SERVICE... and what makes it even worse... their prices are ridiculously high for what they have. We have gotten lighting fixtures from here before and we have always had good service here. A couple weeks ago i dropped in to get a small fixture for over our sink. Just an inexpensive hidden tube light. I was greeted at the door as I entered and a sales person looked up from her order desk as I approached I was asked if I needed belp. I told her what I was looking for and she walked with me over to where they were. She demonstrated the lights, explained differences and options, got my lights for me and wrote up the sale. Since the girl at the til was helping others the sales person also completed the sale for me. For a 50 buck sale. To me that was very good service and I have also been quite pleased with product. This was the west end location. I have recommended this place to others since. I dont know how I could have gotten better service. read more

Our sales person was friendly and helpful. We ordered our new LED pendants. All Kendall Brand. Installing came to a screaming halt. The fixtures are perfect. The ceiling mount.. canopy... is unfinished and ugly. The price of these they should have been eye appealing.. but no... an ugly 1.5 in drop from ceiling on ALL 5 locations. First thing you see is the ceiling mount. In this situation the electrician would get the blame.... but the problem lies with the manufacturer. Flush mount means FLUSH on the ceiling not this ugly drop and dust collector. Returning ALL fixtures. Our sales person said we would have to look through catalogues for something else. No offer to do any searching, she knows what we are looking for. Contacted a sales person at park Lighting who is willing to look and share info via email to find something... now that is service! read more

Horrible, non existent customer service. With all the competition these days I'm shocked that they care so little. I would WAY rather just order my lights online. I will never purchase anything from them again. read more
