Brian Robishaw would promise a date to start work then change it several times. His men that do the work are excellent. They repaired my deck last summer and painted half of it. The part that was replaced couldn't be painted till the wood was ready. This spring I emailed Brian to remind him to finish painting the deck. He replied they were busy but would get to it. Today is Nov. 15th with snow and my deck was never painted. I payed up front for the work. I will be contacting the BBB to file a complaint. read more

Robishaw Painting did a great job!! Very high quality work at a fair price. Brian and his staff were terrific!! We were moving into a new condo that needed to be painted throughout. My first discussion with Brian we had what I considered an unrealistic request to see if any way to get painting completed before or around our move in schedule. Mr. Robishaw was informed that this homeowner was in possession of a detailed report regarding the composition of the paint on my home. Despite this, he was argumentative about what he thought he knew during his five minutes at my home. I'm not understanding his claim of a city citation for "degradation" and actually find this claim to be humorous, however fictitious. Additionally, this allegation further solidifies my understanding of his poor character and makes me wonder how the City of Geneva would respond to his false claim of their taking legal action against one of it's citizens. I also find it humorous how his inclusion of the word "asbestos" is clearly intended to "Pack a Punch", if you are not educated. If a true professional in his business who is "Lead Certified" as he proclaimed, then why is his company unable to provide a service while not compromising the "Safety of his staff?" If his claim is true regarding how unsafe the situation is then what education or options is he qualified to, or willing to offer a homeowner in such a position? Whom else should be called? Is this what a true professional does, refuse to help? Sounds like if you have an older house he's unable to meet your needs. I have had multiple other reputable professionals evaluate my needs and provide assistance, while making educated and informed decisions (the scientific report), that have shown the expertise to provide such a service. As a medical professional, who has had to use their mind and skill to maintain everyone's safety while serving the community, I found this experience to be disappointing. If your needs are simple and do not require expertise, then perhaps five stars are in order here. I really appreciate how this experience has increased the pride I feel for those in our community who pull together and provide valuable, skilled services to others, while also collecting a fair profit for their caring and expertise. read more
