Working with Shane was an absolute nightmare. We had a legal barter agreement for services: 24…read morehours of landscaping and handyman services, for my graphic design and website services: A rebrand of his logo, business cards, T-shirt, car magnet and social media graphics, Facebook page maintenance, a .com Domain Email setup, and a kick-ass Five Page website with a Blog! I worked on Shane's stuff for three weeks while waiting for Shane to get his act together. During those weeks, he was unable to coordinate dates for any of the agreed-upon projects. And if he did set a date and time, he either canceled, was hours late, or didn't show up at all. After approx three weeks, he finally showed up to start the front flower bed project, but the tiller they attempted to use did not work. Three guys and Shane spent seven hours (9-4) trying to make it work. With it still not working, they left at 4:00 pm. They came back the next day with the same tiller, which of course still didn't work. After three and a half more hours trying to get it to work, he decided to go and buy parts. Hours later, they came back with the parts and spent more hours trying to put on the parts and get it to work. Which, once again, was unsuccessful. So I went ahead and rented one from Home Depot for $55. Shane was upset I had taken matters into my own hands, saying, "I don't want to talk about it...Let me handle this." And so I gave him a third attempt to get the tiller up and running and till the flower bed by the end of day two, and if not, he agreed he would go and get the tiller I rented from Depot. Still unable to get the tiller to work, he said he would go and get the one from Home Depot and had the audacity to say, "Who's going to pay for it?" to which I replied, "Um...you are-you should use equipment that works!" They arrived back later with the tiller from Home Depot. He was angry and said he paid $ 100, but that was false. I called Home Depot, who said he chose to rent unnecessarily a more expensive tiller and that he only paid the $37.50 deposit, which of course, he would get back, and the actual payment for the tiller was not collected until it was returned. Because he was upset, I even called Home Depot and got him a $25 credit. Having spent two days trying to get the tiller to work, now with a functional tiller, the flower bed only took two hours to till. He said he would come back the following week on Wednesday (a week to the day) to plant the shrubs and lay the mulch. I had not heard from Shane on Wednesday morning, so I texted and called him, leaving a message. By midday, I had still not heard back, so I sent him an email. Needless to say, I never heard from Shane again. Not only has he violated our agreement, but he has left me high and dry with $600 worth of shrubs, plants, and mulch to deal with. Note: I recently had spinal surgery, so I cannot do the work myself. That said, I wanted to share my experience to spare others from having a bad experience and strongly suggest you not work with this company. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and incompetent. Oh, and he also left the broken tiller in my yard for over a week without coming to pick it up.
