He came to our house the day after I called him and gave me a verbal quote which he followed up that night with an emailed quote. The next week, he arrived on time with his crew and took the trees down to just the trunks the first day. He wore fall protection while he was in the trees which pleased me as I didn't want anyone hurt. Then they cleaned up all the debris. The next day they returned and took down the trunks and ground out all 3 stumps. Then they raked the lawn and swept the driveway. The whole thing was a pleasant experience. Derrik and his crew were friendly and easy to talk to and they checked with us about moving sprinklers so they weren't damaged by falling branches. I will definitely call him again when I need another tree down. Jim Brown

However their first attempt was bad with lots of dead branches left and tree incompletely trimmed. We stopped payment on the cheque and called manager out to look at what he agreed was poor work and he sent another team out to do the job properly. Once again lots of dead branches were left in trees. We ourselves ended up spending hours cleaning out the dead wood, & we sent a picture of all the branches we had cleaned out to manager, the only response we got this time was a bill for full amount, no apologies, no phone call and no discount for the work we had to do ourselves. If you still want to hire these people after getting competitive quotes, supervise them closely while working, especially the younger workers, and do not pay until you have surveyed the work and are thoroughly satisfied.
