I couldn't really decide on what to get; a couple of things caught my eye. In the end, I went with the spicy Korean wings. They took a while to get out, and the lady told me they would, but they were well worth the wait. They were tangy, messy, a little bit spicy (zip might be a better word) and delicious! The wings were gigantic. This is easily one of the fullest meals I've had in town. The wings reminded me of the fried wings you'd find in Korea. I'm sure that sounds like it would be obvious as the place was a Korean eatery, but not all places taste like the country they claim. These wings came with fries as well. The only thing I'd change, aside from the reception was probably less sour cream. A touch was nice, but there was a rather large glob of it and I had excess upon finishing the wings and fries. For anyone wanting to try, and you should, the wings are plenty to fill you up. I almost had to tap out.

I was a little disappointed in the portion size; I have become accustomed to the extremely generous portions served at most of the restaurants in Sunnybank and thought Chinatown would be similar. This might not be a fair criticism, as I have a pretty big appetite coupled with the fact that I hadn't eaten lunch that day, so it's likely I would have been disappointed with anything less than the whole cow. I tucked in and sadly I was disappointed again. The flavour was lovely but it just wasn't strong enough for my taste. My dish also came served with a small bowl of rice, as did all the mains. I'm fairly sure this wasn't the correct way to eat it but I improvised and threw the rice in my soup, making a thicker concoction and I'm sure any staff watching me glower in disapproval. I tried some of my Friend's meals, most of whom ordered safer options such as teriyaki noodles. I would say overall about half of the group were very happy with their meals, while the others weren't. Also there was a wait to get seated as they are quite popular so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Once seated, we were presented with an ipad that you do all the ordering from. They have a huge selection of items ranging from meats to seafood. I was craving sushi so that's what I ended up ordering. Let me be the first to apologise and recommend that you dig beneath the surface and try this place out. For our first visit we ordered from the menu as we didn't have time to linger over our meal. The quality, texture and flavour of the food was sensational. My poached eggplant with homemade miso was divine with hints of green tea and something equally creamy and almost buttery without being overly salty. A mouth winner for sure. Our other choices included karage, aburi salmon, pork gyoza and edamame beans. The pork gyoza were perhaps the dissappointment of the night, but only because they were so plain when compared with the amazing flavours and textures of the other dishes. Even the condiments of homemade sesame chilli sambal and a beautiful soy blend were something we were prepared to beg the chef for the recipe to attempt to recreate at home. The amazing thing is that with a bottle of sake and 5 dishes we walked away with a bill of $50 for two. My server was quick enough to save a piece of pork trying to escape my bowl from hitting the table and my kimchee was stirred through thoroughly. The morning I visited the k-pop karaoke machine in the corner was thumping out tunes a little loud, especially since I was the only customer. The menu features breakfast and brunch staples like acãi bowls and eggs benedict but also a couple of unique items such as red velvet waffles (which I didn't have the courage to try as I'm trying to eat healthy). Coffees are 7.5/10 (easy-drinking blend, made a little too hot but lattes and flat whites served Melbourne style, in a glass, which I like). I was actually there to test a new customer loyalty technology called Birdee (http://birdee.solutions) built by a friend of mine. But unfortunately the sole staff member on duty didn't appear to use it. Maybe they haven't been trained on it yet? Those cocktails can really pack a punch and that microphone should never come near any of us when we've had a few. The manager even came over and had a chat and toasted to a good night!
