I arrived at the busy time on a Sunday morning (10 AM) and a lady greeted me when she saw my puzzled face because it's clear I didn't know what to do. She speaks very little English and I am.practically nil in Portuguese, but somewhat we understood what we're saying. I was given a chair to wait and not long she got me a table. The drip coffee that I ordered is excellent, it's house blend chocolaty and smooth. The food is fine and again the strength is in their coffee, and hospitality. She ordered something else and reminded him she's vegan. Her sandwich came with mayo. We had to flag another staff down to ask for another sandwich. The waiter never came to the table to apologize or to check on us. We also had to wait for our check. The establishment suggests a 10% gratuity, which is ridiculously high to such an awful service. The person who paid the bill told the server he could add the gratuity. He never thanked her. She asked him to add her id # (for tax purposes in Brazil), and when he brought the check back he pretty much put it on her face. She politely smiled and thanked him again. He walked away without saying one word.

After you meet the owner, an open-minded, curious and ready 25-year-old, it's no wonder this place is so unique. Before you sip your coffee, make sure you check out the whiskey collection he keeps on the top shelf. He has a better array then most bars I respect. And best of all, he'll slip you a whiskey menu so you can select from lowland, speyside, or isley scotches; Kentucky bourbons or Japanese whiskeys. It's a real find in Brasília and a great place to hit at all hours of the day or night. You may catch a party!
