This review is of the Penn State Beaver Baseball Camp for youth baseball. (2018)…read more This camp is hosted by the Penn State Beaver Baseball coach & team. It's only 4 weeks long and there are 2 sessions held on Saturdays. The first session of camp is one hour, and it focuses on pitching. The second session is 2 hours long and it focuses on batting, fielding, and defense. You can select one of either session or both. We chose to do both. This is the first time my son has ever been involved in this camp, and he absolutely loves it! The coach is great with the kids, he's really enthusiastic and you can tell that he loves what he does. My son has learned more these last two weeks about skills than he has in his short youth baseball experience. Plus, he is having a great time doing it. If you are teetering on whether or not you should sign your child up, I would say go for it! I think that the skills my son is learning now will build his confidence this upcoming baseball season.

Honestly this whole school was a joke. From the owners to the teachers. There were like 2 decent…read moreteachers when I left but since they couldn't keep any staff I was in a room just to do whatever and teach myself for the first 6 months. They went through multiple directors while I was there one stole a bunch of money from a lot of us. We did get it back eventually after my friend took them to court the owner called me up and asked for an apology. Eventually she apologized to me and paid every one their money. But after that a teacher told me they were trying to terminate me. I didn't get terminated but I warn you this was my whole experience every month was something new there. They also wrote us checks for the left over finical aide money but wrote it for a lot more (about $2000) and made us cash it and bring cash back or a cashiers check.

My name is Kyleigh, I attended DCI at Beaver Valley Mall. I can say it was a rough start getting…read morethe hang of things. I started in March 2020, yes in the pandemic. Due to the numbers of Covid-19 cases on the rise, I and others were forced to preform online classes with MA instructor " Ms. Paula " . The fact the school pushed classes to online was rough , however they had us in their best interest. Which means a hell of a lot! Ms. Paula took a day at a time to make sure we understood what we were doing, she even offered to do 1 on 1 zoom chats to help get the understanding across. Ms. Sharron is super helpful with scheduling and answering the phone when it means the most. When it came time to come back, Ray made sure to notify everyone who was taking the course that we can stay and retake the MODS we missed or even spend an extra hour a day to truly "get what we paid for" (no extra cost). On that note... I nor the others who preformed online classes stayed to relearn the MODS, due to Ms. Paula not giving up on making sure we truly "get what we paid for"! I believe the comment on 7/2/2019 made by Josie B. is false. Every student is treated equal , it just depends if you're going to school to learn or you're going to school to socialized. There is a classroom full of girls/women 4 hours a day 5 days a week, yes girls talk and sometimes you don't like or agree with one another. However, you're taking classes to have an adult job meaning you should act like an adult. When it comes to externs, Ms. Paula and Ms. Sharron notify you when or if there is possible opening at a site. You can tell them yes or no, you are not forced to take what they find. You are also allowed to call and pick one of your choice, if that site is excepting externs. Look at the passing rates combined with cost of schooling compared to CCBC. People who were better at some of the lessons were treated better and received better externships. Save your money and attend a more professional venue such as CCBC. Don't think you will get any more attention from DCI.
