My husband and I have been patients here for almost five years. In that time, we have never seen…read morethe same doctor more than three times. The staff, including the office managers, seem to be the problem. Each time a physician left the practice, we would have to find out by calling the practice ourselves...and then we'd be put out months at at time to get another appointment. My husband's doctor has twice now called out sick the morning of his appointment--after he had to take sick days to be available himself for the appointment. Another time he called to say he was going to be five minutes late and they told him he would still be seen, but when he arrived, they had canceled his appointment. Apparently it is ok for the doctor to call the morning of an appointment and cancel TWICE, but for a patient to be a few minutes late, there is no leeway. I had a billing problem that was the doctor's mistake and it took me 6 months for anyone in the office to remedy the problem. The office manager never once called me back after I repeatedly left messages--it was actually another doctor that stepped in to help me. The front office staff seems to be the issue--the doctors, at least the ones who haven't called out sick, have been terrific but there must be a reason none of them stay in the practice for very long.

A week prior to this appointment date, I was called and informed that she was no longer available on that date and the next available opening was mid July. 7 months to get into see a doctor for a check up?? In the meantime, I had thrown out my back and I submitted a request for the prescription refill of prednisone and flexural through the patient portal on a Sunday morning (which was effective the last time this happened last summer & was listed on my medical chart. ). I didn't hear anything on Monday morning and called the office to check the status of the refill. I was told that they never received my request and would process it immediately since I was in excruciating pain and couldn't walk. I called the office several times and was promised that they just needed to have Dr. Roberts approval for the refill. Several hours went by and I called again at 4pm. I was told that Dr Roberts was very busy and probably didn't have time to look at my note. Also, that she probably wouldn't approve it anyway since she hasn't seen me as a patient. I tried to explain to her that I had attempted to see her and my appointment was rescheduled by her office. Long story short, I went to the ER and was able to get my prescriptions and was practically pain free by the next morning. I would never recommend Dr. Roberts and have since changed my care provider. He is thoughtful about starting with lifestyle, exercise, diet, physical therapy, blood tests, stress reduction, before prescribing medicine. He refers us to specialists when it's appropriate, and he will reach out to his contacts and colleagues when there is something worth getting some additional expert information on (such as should one undergo genetic testing if aunts on a father's side have breast cancer). I've challenged him about his advice or recommendation, and he talks with me and helps me understand his perspective and the options. He is genuine, not in a rush, and a very kind person. My husband's life has been saved by Dr. A. No one is perfect, of course, but Dr. Andrecyk is a great doctor.

The normal procedure with this ailment is to check Iron levels to make sure there isn't an iron deficiency. No iron test was preformed as he stated my symptoms didn't require it. I have suffered with restless leg syndrome for years and Iron testing is standard procedure. Be forewarned this is a dangerous way of dealing with client ailments.
