However, while there I also tried the Primal Swing and the Zipline tour. All three were a rush! The staff were very friendly and competent. They were great at helping their customers feel safe. The bungee jumps were especially awesome. The only complaint I could make is that bungee jumpers were not reeled back up to the bridge after the jumps. Instead, we were lowered to a raft on the river below, where we were (safely) unhooked from the bungee cord. However, that meant the jumpers now had to climb over a hundred feet of stairs to get back to the top of the canyon. Other than that, it was a thoroughly enjoyable day, and I'd recommend it to other thrill seekers out there.

Rumble in the Jungle!…read more Three of us spent 8 days with a BikeHike adventure in Panama. This was a fantastic experience. Panamá has a lot to offer in a small package. We toured the Panama Canal by bike, took dugout canoes to an indigenous village, camped on a Pacific Coast island where we snorkeled, fished and Kayaked, rode bikes, hiked and zip lined in the mountains, and stayed overnight at our guides coffee farm in a cloud forest, while enjoying gourmet food. This trip was so well organized and the food and accommodations were great. Best of all - our guide, Rolando! A great guide and an even better human being. He took such good care of us and demonstrated how to run tours while treating everyone, clients, co- workers, and other vendors alike, like friends. This trip was rated as moderately challenging and that's an accurate rating. Because of how active this trip is you want to be in good shape. And don't forget SPF clothing and sun screen!

It was my first time, and I am someone who is scared of both heights and speed, so this was a big deal for me. But Lucy and Max from the Ziptrek team were incredible. They made me feel so comfortable and safe the entire time, and honestly gave me the courage to actually enjoy it instead of being scared. And trust me, it is completely worth it. There are 5 ziplines and each one has such a beautiful, breathtaking view. I loved every second of it and I already know I will be doing this again. Highly recommend it to anyone, even if you are scared like me.

Kids can go on their own around age 8, so our youngest had to have an adult accompany him (yipee!). You can easily control your speed, so it was funny to see how fast or slow different people went. They did a good job of spacing out riders so you didn't bunch up. There is a timer to track your speed if you're competitive. I've been to adventure zones at several resorts in Lake Tahoe (Squaw Valley and Northstar) and this is far superior.
