Like others have said on here, AVOID THIS PLACE! THE OWNER IS RACIST AND HAS A VERY BAD TEMPER! I ordered rock from here 1 year ago over the phone and it all went well. I decided to order again from Rock World this year and the owner told me that I was wrong on the last pricing per ton (which I wasn't) and then got very upset when I explained the math from the last order. The absolute worst and most disgusting part about this entire experience was before he got upset with me, while I was sitting with him in his office/trailer, and referred to a group of guys as NI**ERS when they were standing outside. I guess because I am a bald white man he thought I would be ok with hearing that? Never in my life has someone I did not know talk like that around me and I was born and raised in the south. This business needs to be shut down. He does not think he has any competition in PCB so he acts rude when he talks to you, gets upset when questioned, and uses racist, derogatory, terms around you like it's no big deal. USE ANOTHER BUSINESS! We are now paying $400 more for our rock and paying it HAPPILY! Use Northwest Florida Landscape, Home Depot, or Lowes even if paying more and waiting more time! This clown does not deserve our business in Panama City Beach. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I called the phone number to check hours. On the message it said a price for the product. I loaded up and went there. The price was different and I asked about the price on the message. The owner said they are different so I paid the double the stated price. The owner then began to argue with me about the phone message. I told him I paid and wanted my rock. He refused to give me the rock. He continued to insult me about the message and how everyone gets a different story with it. I told him it was a misunderstanding and maybe he should change the message. He continued to get belligerent until I asked for a refund. I have never seen anything like it in my life. DO NOT GO THERE unless you want to fight the drunk belligerent owner. read more

I wish I could leave zero stars. My husband and I have been talking for a while about getting rock delivered to make a parking space at our house. As I drive by Rock World every day, we figured we'd use them. We had previously driven in on the weekend and picked out what type of rock we wanted on our own. Today we finally decided to pull the trigger, as they advertise same day delivery. I first called earlier in the day while they were open. Instead of ringing, there's a nice recording with common rock pricing, business hours, etc. It says push #6 for more information. I did that, and it rang and went to a voicemail that said the voicemail is full, so I couldn't leave a message. I then finished running my errands and decided to stop by to see if I could speak to anyone. I pulled in a little after 4:30pm and their displayed sign reminded me that they closed at 4pm. As today is Friday and I'm off work Monday, so would be able to be home for a possible delivery, I decided to call again and hopefully have the option to leave a message with what we wanted so that we could get the ball rolling for Monday. I again listened to the recording and chose option #6 for more information. Surprisingly, instead of a voicemail, a man answered kind of rudely with "Rock World". I said, "Hi, I'm just inquiring about getting some rock delivered". He then said extremely rudely with a very sharp tone, "Well, we're open Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm like the recording says, and it's now 4:38". I was floored with his tone and that he said this so responded as rudely as I could muster, "Well I thought I'd have the option to leave a message but thanks anyway". He just said, "Yep" and hung up. Here's a little advice - if you don't want people bothering you about your business after hours then get a business phone and don't have the number be your cell phone, because guess what? People are going to call after hours. Here's some more advice - don't be rude to your potential customers. I understand that our measly $500 that you could've made from us probably won't break you, but word of mouth is everything for a business. We will spread the word about how I was treated when I called to offer to spend some money with you. I don't typically leave reviews; however, I feel this one is warranted. I am a 36-year-old female who is never rude to anyone and I was absolutely floored by the extremely rude service I received. We're taking our business and recommendations elsewhere. I bought 2 yards of sand from rock world. It was a tenth of the cost of going to a big box home store. The sand is high quality and the price was amazing! It seems like a mom and pop run business. One nice older woman who does the books and answers the phone stays in the little trailer on the property and older man loaded the truck for me. I didn't see any other employees there. It's not a big corporate run kind of place which I liked. I went there to pick up a load and there was no one there but as it was lunch time I figured they left so I came back an hour later and within 15 minutes I paid my $40 for an entire pick up bed full of soft white sand, got loaded up and was on my merry way. I thought they were nice, the price could not be beat and I'd use them again. read more
