Metal filings in the brushes scratched the paint on my car on both sides & front and back. No response from the phone numbers I was given, even though I filled out a report while I was there. Where is the rocket? I remember when this was Sparkle Car Wash way back when. My mum drove the 1959 Cadillac back around the very, very tight curve at the back. It was entertainment in a boring town, riding through the car wash. It's much the same today, though the name has changed and there doesn't seem to be anyone at the exit to dry the car. There are plenty of "space age" lights still, telling you what's happening to the car through the tunnel. I believe that there are two levels (maybe three?) of car washes. I bought a book of 6 washes last year before Father's Day when they were on sale, so I don't recall exactly but the more premium wash includes the underbody wash. That's a good thing in these states where the salt can build up over the snowy, icy months. You don't really have a lot of interaction with the employees. They take your money or car wash coupon, do a little brushing, and hooking the car up to the conveyor. Then, you're on your way. I believe that they have extra cost detailing services, if you're so inclined. The automated system does a good job, at least on cars and minivans that I've taken there. read more

Took my car to get a good cleanup wash, wax the whole 9 yards spent $20. The worst job I've ever had gotten ,took it back in and I swear they must've took a rinse to it because when I took it back and checked it over again it was dirty spots. , told the gentleman that one of the sprayers was not working. The rotating rag thing was not working and only one heated blower , that young man had told the other young man that he's had problems out of it all day .which when I left I had water spots on my windows ,on my car worse I've ever seen.. I left Totally totally disgusted.. Never again will I bring my car there. and for sure I will let my friends and my family and the people I work with know not to take their car their vehicle there maybe the world will get around Richmond . this is the last $20 you'll ever get from me.. read more

I was the only customer. I waited for a full 2 minutes at the entrance to the wash before the employee saw me stepping out of the car at which time he walked over from next door! to do his job. I wasn't impressed. I've had good service before and enjoyed tipping for the service. Not this time... read more

I've become disappointed in Richmonds Rocket Car Wash. Lately my cars not been cleaned as well and the equipment is in disrepair. Not ringing as well. Usually only one attendee on the job. And several time as was today closed. So, I switched to the competition down the street. read more

Firstly, my car came out clean I can't complain about the actual service. But when I pulled up to enter, you pull up to an automated machine with the touch screen and a credit card slot. Totally fine by me An attendant runs over and wedges between me and the machine, space about 3 feet. Asked for my card, insert the card about a foot from my window. Asks what I want, touches the screen. This process was idiotic and creepy. I pulled up to the screen, I could've easily inserted my card and touched the screen myself. Her coming and acting as an intermediary between me and the machine was absolute nonsense read more

On one hand I am happy with Rocket Car Wash. We have two cars that have monthly passes so we use the wash as much as we can. On the other hand I am not happy with the way the wash is run on a daily basis. I made a post back in October 2016 when we stopped to get our car washed to find cones at the entrance closing it for the night before closing time. Now today again we stopped by and again cones in front of the gate. Time was 7:45 and the open sign was on but cones saying otherwise. I am disappointed with the customer service and if your open till 9 then stay open till 9. read more

If you have expensive wheels on your vehicle - avoid this place! I went in for a car wash last week before I returned to Chicago. When I stopped for fuel, I noticed that my two driver's side wheels were damaged. These wheels are less than 3 months old and had no previous damage. Turned into one hell of an expensive car wash (over $600). Never again. read more

We've always had good service at this place but today was another story. We pulled in . They helped us to choose what we wanted and then when we pulled up to the wash they sprayed us all over with soapy water and then we sat for probably a good half hour while they tried to get it to work. They didn't communicate with us in anyway. They beat and sanded the pulley thing. After about a half hour they motioned us to go through . They guided us through but never said a thing. After we got out we pulled around and my husband walked around to the place where they were. They did ask what wash we were supposed to get and refunded our money but our car was covered with soap and we had to drive to another place to spray it off ourselves. You would have thought they would have given us at least another complimentary wash or something. read more
