We used Rockett Getaways to plan our trip to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico and again to help with our trip to the UK. Both experiences were no less than stellar. LuAnne and then Anna took great care and consideration to help plan two special trips, especially Anna with the UK trip. We easily stayed within budget and experienced some of the most incredible sights of the commonwealth. It was made even easier with an app they provided that contained everything we needed. Anna worked around some specifics we had in mind, was thoughtful and responsive, and even helped to facilitate some refunds we had coming our way. In April we contacted LuAnn Rockett to plan a 2-week trip for us in late September to Budapest/Prague. Rockett made all transportation, transfer, and hotel reservations, added a couple of tours, and we explored independently beyond that. This was not a budget trip. Our hotels were very nice, truly 5-star in most ways. Locations in both cities were away from the historic centers, but we're public transit savvy, so it was fine... Anna Potter of Rockett planned an incredible Budapest History Tour for us on our last day there -- it was the highlight of our vacation, Anna is Great ! We really loved both cities! Regarding our transportation, it was adequate, but a recurring hassle... Rockett somehow booked 3 different reservations, on 2 code-sharing airlines. We discovered this after our deposit, not before. A month prior to our departure, Rockett provided tickets on one airline, while the actual flights were on the other. This resulted in the loss of expensive seat upgrades (not refunded) and an inability to check-in online for any of our flights. Rockett blamed the airline(s) for all of this, but she chose the airlines, made all the reservations, and issued the tickets.. Also, we got stranded in Budapest, because our pre-paid transfer from hotel to train station didn't show up. Transportation was an expensive disappointment, and we never got much of an explanation, just casting blame about. I wish there were a 2 1/2 star rating. I came home feeling a bit taken advantage of, due to my lack of experience. I would highly recommend Anna Potter for personal tours, because of the effort she expended for us, but I would not recommend Rockett for your transportation needs .. read more

Luann was so kind and helpful throughout the process of booking a vacation. We approached her with really vague requirements for a trip to France or somewhere in Europe and Luann put together an amazing itinerary for us. This spring, I contacted LuAnn Rockett of Rockett Getaways for her help and insight in planning an international vacation for me and my husband. We knew we wanted to go to Morocco and the Canary Islands, but we were overwhelmed trying to figure out the logistics for such an ambitious trip. We have just returned from our amazing trip, planned entirely by Rockett Getaways, sight-unseen: seven flights, six transfers to/from airports, four hotels, three countries, three unbelievable, personal tours through Marrakech, Rabat and across the gorgeous tropical island of Tenerife, and everything went off without a hitch. We rode camels in Morocco, ate tapas in Barcelona, lounged on the beach in Gran Canaria, enjoyed our private pool in Tenerife, got massages, went shopping in the markets of Marrakech, toured palaces and ruins, met some amazing people and created beautiful memories. LuAnn booked the trip of a lifetime for us. Every vendor she engaged performed exactly as planned; every hotel was perfect; every activity was fun and effortless. We didn't have to google what to do or where to be; she planned it all. She even somehow knew exactly the right amount of time for us to spend in each place. With everything planned and detailed so expertly for us, we knew exactly what to expect every single day and were able to relax and be present. We never got restless, frustrated or bored. I'm honestly amazed that this whole process was so simple and easy, and I owe it entirely to Rockett Getaways. I am so unbelievably grateful that I found Rockett Getaways, and I am now a customer for life. LuAnn was nice, but I would never use her services again. We attempted to have her help us plan out Honeymoon, but it really didn't work out. She booked our flight, which was good. However, when she went to help us with the rest of the planning, her company charged our card for a large amount of money without first informing or asking us. I also realized quickly that all the rates she was finding for our hotels were extremely inflated; I was finding much better deals on my own. When I asked her about it, she said she didn't specialize in hotels. Part of our flight package included two nights in a hotel she selected. The hotel was fine (it was a Hilton, nothing special), but the room was pretty bad. We had to upgrade. I thought it was interesting that she hadn't put a note in our account to make sure we had a nice room because of the occasion or maybe to upgrade us. For the flight she was fine, but I wouldn't ever go back to her, certainly not for hotels. read more
