Our seafood restaurant at Exeter is in a stunning location right next to the water on the Quayside, a great place to sit and watch all the buzz and activity and enjoy fresh, sustainable seafood. We specialise in serving fresh local & sustainable seafood caught by own boat Rockfisher and others from the local fishing fleet. Our fish is selected by us each day at market where it is prepared on the harbourside by our skilled fishmongers and delivered each morning to our restaurants and served to you within hours. During spring and summer we have tables outside on a lovely outdoor terrace to be enjoyed when the weather's favourable and subject to availability. Our menu features classic seafood dishes and all the favourites like dressed crab, oysters, prawns and traditional fish and chips; but the real stand out is the daily selection of seafood which gets marked up the tablecloth by the waiter who will explain the cooking method of each one, whether it be chargrilled, roasted or crisp fried. Our wines and beers are selected especially to compliment seafood to complete the experience. There is something for everyone at Rockfish and we believe that people want to eat more seafood, it's healthy, delicious and there is no better experience than eating fish overlooking the water from which it was caught. Meet the Business Owner: Mitch T.

MITCH TONKS' route from accountancy to culinary stardom was as unorthodox as it was successful. Today he is a talented chef, innovative restaurateur, and first-class cookery writer. But above all he remains a passionate advocate for the delights of the sea. Among many awards, he recently received a Lifetime achievement award from the Herald Express; Observer Food Monthly awarded The Seahorse Best UK Restaurant, Tatler named him Restaurateur of the Year, and the World Gourmands Awards named his Fishmonger's Cookbook Best Fresh Fish Book. In addition to running the Rockfish restaurant group in Devon and Dorset and The Seahorse in Dartmouth he launched the Mitch Tonks Seafood Academy at South Devon College in 2012, has written five seafood cookery books and makes regular TV appearances.
