All the food was perfect. We ordered fried pickles (best I've ever had. Breading stayed on and not greasy), fried mushrooms (came with a horseradish type sauce, regular Stromboli with jalapeño (FIRE), chicken bacon ranch pizza (had the perfect amount of garlic added), chicken strip salad (loaded up with cut up perfectly cooked chicken, and a ham, onion, bell pepper, w/mushroom pizza (very flavorful ham and not Canadian bacon style). I failed to get our servers name but she was spot on! The other servers were also doing a great job! It was a beautiful 78° sunny afternoon and the view of the river front and river was a pleasant experience. read more

My wife and I attend trivia night every Monday at Rockhouse on the river. We have a great server who takes very good care of us. We always have a good time. They do a great job and I enjoy the pizza. It's also a great place to watch UK basketball. read more

Service was great, pizza was very yummy (could have used a little more toppings IMHO) but it was tasty. View from the window seats were good. Only problem was that it was a little dumpy. The booth seats were ripped open and I was sitting on coarse foam with my shorts on. The table was also peeling and you couldn't move the salt and pepper holder because it was so sticky. But food and service are great. Would go back for those and hopefully not get a booth that's falling apart. read more

A friend and I went on a spontaneous trip to Henderson, KY and wanted to look for a place to eat before we went hiking. I know, pizza before hiking is a bad idea but oh well. There were not a lot of options so we decided to go to Rockhouse because it was one of the few places that was open. The place was pretty empty which means fast service and fast service was delivered. Our waitress was so nice and was very attentive. We also got our food quick so that was a plus because after a 2 hour drive, we were starving. I decided to be basic and went with a cheese pizza with ranch and garlic sauce. It's nothing exciting but it was good. The prices are very cheap for what you get. I think I only spent 8 dollars for a personal pizza and a Sprite. I'm not sure when I will be back here but if anyone is looking for a quick bite to eat, Rockhouse is a good pick. read more

I just moved to Henderson and I was looking for a good place to watch some football games, and this place didn't disappoint! The staff were friendly, the bartender was very nice and attentive. We talked football and I had the cheese sticks with jalapeños added and drank a local beer. The food was great so before I left I ordered a pizza to go. My husband and I each got a calzone and we split an order of fries. Calzones were very big. (We each took home 1/2 to eat later). As far as Henderson places go, it was a good calzone. The fries were ok. They weren't anything to write home about. There is also a small game room in the back. I played the Candy Crane since I used to play it all the time as a kid back home. After perusing around downtown Henderson, trying to find a lunch spot that was open on Sunday, we finally stumbled across this place and thought it sounded good enough. It was definitely a cute little place with some good food! It was pretty dead when we came, hence it being a Sunday, but the service was super speedy but very friendly as well. It seems that they're known most for their pizza and their stromboli, which they had a lot of different options including a "create your own." I ended up getting the bacon grilled cheese and it was good. Very cheap as well, my receipt only turned out to about 8 bucks. It seems like they have live music and trivia occasionally, which is pretty cool. It's a great downtown spot and is not too far from the river. read more

Rockhouse on the River commands an awesome view of the river at dusk when we arrived. Our waitress was attentive and excellent. Near the heart, the flat pieces should be removed completely from the lettuce. This makes for the salad to be very tender and delicious throughout without having those solid pieces to chew on. We had pizza and Stromboli tonight. We also had the appetizer plate. Our food was very good. The service was excellent and we highly recommend with these changes. The bathrooms are painted black with red lettering. They should consider updating the paint from black in this establishment to a different color, which is more earth friendly. read more

My husbands hometown but he'd never been here. Amazing pizza, fast service, served straight from the oven. I caught a glimpse of another tables salad, wings and onion rings and almost asked for a sample.....looked delicious. Beautiful historic building in downtown Henderson. Clean bathrooms, gorgeous wood bar. Several seating areas, one room has cozy fireplace. (Not sure if it is a working one, it's the middle of summer and feels like 100 degrees out today). Stopped here with some friends for a quick bite to eat while on a work trip. It's a pretty typical dive bar. We ordered some pizza for the group and some beers. It hit the spot. A great find in Henderson. The pizza is tasty and the servers are genuinely nice. Our waitress brought the kids a plate of pizza dough to play with to keep them occupied. What a great idea! We shared two small pizzas (buffalo chicken and pepperoni), which was perfect for two adults and two preschoolers. The buffalo chicken was great, and the kids enjoyed the pepperoni. I thought the tomato sauce was a touch too sweet, but I know some prefer it that way. To each his own! read more

Stopped in on the way home from Florida to get out of the car for a bit. It's situated in Henderson's downtown area next to the river, dotted with shops and eateries that show promise as well (There is also a splash pad right across the street if the Littles need to take a break). We were greeted promptly by the hostess and seated right away. I noticed that there is a full bar, and they even brew their own beer. We started with deep-fried pickles and salad. Delicious-- ranch tastes homemade, and the tomato was...gasp...red and juicy! I had the buffalo chicken pizza, and my husband had the boneless wings.
