The food is always excellent. The wait staff are always nice and friendly and apologetic. But twice in the last 2 times I've went we had an unusually long wait for one item in the group, which means the rest of the family get done eating before the last kid gets his food..... I have been wanting to try Firedome since one of my disc golf buddies recommended their wings. Plus, tonight was trivia night! The restaurant is very open and big. It seems like they are wasting a lot of space but there are plenty of places to sit. There are a lot of screens to watch games. I went with 16 wings for $17.49. I was allowed to pick as many sauces as I want. I went with Honey BBQ, teriyaki glaze, and the one you want....the house specialty. The house specialty is a sweet and spicy dry rub and they chargrill the wings to help seal the flavor. It seemed like I had a rub taste like it before but could not place it. If you had to pick one wing flavor, this is the one you want that sets them apart from other wing joints. The other wings were good too but nothing that makes you say I can only get this flavor from Firedome. My sweet tea was refreshingly sweet and trivia was a blast as it is on Thursdays. We have gone there probably a half dozen times over the last few years. It's a local place and we do like to support local. When we have gone there we always get the wood fired wings with the house rub. They are delicious. The other dish I almost always get are the onion rings. I love the light crispy batter and they are about my favorite onion rings anywhere. We have gotten their pizza a couple of times but I am not a fan. Crust is never been crispy and the taste is just not for me. It's not bad but it just isn't my thing. The most annoying thing is, the last few times we have been there is they are always out of the beer I like. Matter of fact the last two times they were out of my two choices. They are located next door to a liquor store so I'm not sure why this happens but it has. Again, it's not a bad place but it's fallen down our list when we go out to eat. read more

Apparently FIREDOME doesn't much care about the safety of its customers... They could've been more responsive when I asked them WHY hasn't any of them bothered to salt or shovel this ice away. Neither cashier was concerned that I slipped numerous times in the brief walk across this ice sheet. You best believe I've eaten for the last time here, I've been a BIG FAN of their food for 6 years now, but if their level of concern is that low for an issue such as this.... I can't imagine how they'll treat BIGGER safety concerns such as food safety. read more

We get the grippo rubbed wings, hot wings, cheesy jalapeño bread and of course a pizza or two. I love their grippo wings - I could eat a ton of those and the pizza is so good! We are visiting from out of town with family who was in the hospital, we were at the hospital all day. We were stopping to pick up dinner on our way home. I walked in the pick up area and this is what I saw. Not very appealing. The young lady at the register did not know if they had a military discount and neither did the person she asked up front. Seems that maybe everybody might need a little more training. Young man in the photo did get up when I was leaving And looked out the window at me. Food is awesome. I love the pizza and the boneless wings. The service though:-/ It wasn't good the last two times I've been. No one in my family will go back anymore because of the last visit :-( I placed a to go order. Large order/ double order (16oz?) of boneless wings with extra celery. No celery at all in my order. Weeks later five of us went in. We were seated right away but no one took our drink order for a while. One person at our booth ordered a beer. The beer didn't get brought until the appetizer came out. Our order- an app, a large pizza, and a large order of boneless wings. 40+ minutes later we were starved. The appetizer came out 5 minutes before the main course. We had no plates. We were given no plates for the appetizer. The pizza and wings came out. We thought maybe he will get us some plates. The place is busy stuff happens. Nope he looked at us clearly saw we had no plates he threw the food down and ran away. We ate the pizza and wings on paper towels. Paid and left. read more

Ate here a couple of months ago, and I have to say, everything from the atmosphere to the food is just incredibly uncomfortable. To start with the atmosphere; the place is absurdly huge and I imagine most of it doesn't get used through out the week. It feels so...empty. Like this building should have been a gym or something. In one corner of the building is the brick oven I imagine is hyped up, but hardly used. That's about all the eye candy for the place among blandly colored walls and tables that are long and far from your seat. The poor waitress's, oh boy. It's almost like they weren't trained for casually waiting on people. They came off uncomfortable, unsure, and frightened if any question about the menu popped up. The food is just pitifully sad, in the same sense you could fuck up in your own kitchen at home and have the same results. We ordered some breadsticks, nachos, and a chicken ranch pizza. The nachos, man, they were the saddest part of the whole trip. They tasted like salted nachos straight out of a store brand bag. The cheese dip that came with it, and the breadsticks, tastes identical to the cheese that comes out of the can from the Rico brand. Why would I bother ordering these ingredients when it probably costs less for more to a trip to Walmart? The chicken ranch pizza was the most "meh" feeling I could imagine. Ummmm...our poor waitress. She was nice. But when the restaurant management doesn't support their staff it's hard to provide the best experience. If Kitchen Nightmares were still filming I would push for this place to be on it. Took two hours for our pizzas to get to the table. Including the kids mini pizzas. Have you ever had to explain to kids why restaurant food takes two hours?? We ordered the Margherita pizza, and maybe I'm spoiled by restaurants that actually make a proper Margherita pizza, but I was disappointed and confused when they brought me a cheese pizza with dried ground basil sprinkled in top. When questioned they just brought me one with chopped tomatoes sprinkled on top. No thank you. If you can't make a proper one, take it off the menu and either replace it with one you can make or just don't offer another kind. It was just a very frustrating night and I think I left having eaten a few pieces of the hot wings and that's it. I thought it would be better because we were told the chef from Mister B's opened the place, but...sadly we were all disappointed. My hope is that they get better. I mean, we were only in town visiting so chances we will never go back or ask to go back when we come into town. But you still only wish the best for people. It sucks to venture out on your own only to fail :/. Oh, I read the review of the manager cussing someone out. Yikes! Hopefully anger management classes will help get that under control. This place is one of my family's regular restaurants, and that's saying a lot considering Henderson has a ton of different pizza places. The wings are amazing and are quite large. We always split our order of wings to get half traditional and half of the dry rubbed wings which are rubbed in a delicious mixture of spices. The oven fire pizza makes the thin crust perfectly crisp. The owners and waitstaff are so nice and always accommodating. read more

We stopped in after the races at Ellis Park. It was a hot humid day and we were hungry and thirsty! The service was just ok. We ordered a calzone to share. It was certainly big enough but was burnt! I would never have let it come out of the kitchen like that. They threw the frozen French fries on top to help disguise maybe? The insides were worth eating but I have to admit I was disappointed! The reason we will go back is the wings tossed in spicy rub we tried! Very tasty. Good size wings too.
