These guys (dentists) try to charge up your insurance at every opportunity. They try to max out how much they can get away with charging. They cost me 3 teeth by doing only half the work and knowing that all the work couldn't be completed until my insurance renewed a year later. I hate the way Rockland County Dental does business. They are crooked and they do business like a bad used car salesman. It took me 3 yrs to correct their mistakes. I do not recommend anyone go to this dental office! I went to County Dental for the first time in 2022 for a cleaning because my spouse obtained dental insurance that only offered in-network benefits. The cleaning was unremarkable, but I left feeling uncomfortable after what felt like sales pitches for additional services, which contributed to my avoidance for three years until I finally returned last week for a cleaning. As someone who flosses every night, brushes twice a day with a Sonicare toothbrush, mouthwashes twice a day, regularly wears a retainer at night, and didn't develop her first cavity until her late twenties, I was flabbergasted when the hygienist told me that I had ten cavities! She also told me that I would need a deep cleaning under my gums. (I didn't meet with a dentist after either cleaning, which I found odd.) I tried to rationalize that it was because of the three year gap between cleanings, but something just didn't feel right. A few days later I called for a copy of my x-rays and made an appointment with my former dentist. After reviewing the x-rays and examining my teeth the following week, he found ZERO cavities! On another note, my friend received a phone call from County Dental asking her when she would like to make an appointment to fill her six cavities to which she responded that she was unaware she had six cavities! Have been a patient at this office for 8 years with no issues. Our hygenist Cheryl goes above and beyond to work with our insurance to make sure we can be covered for as much work as needed. They take the time to explain procedures, costs, and pain management for all procedures. My husband and young daughter also go here and have had very good experiences every time. Highly recommend. Sad to see all the negative reviews and it sounds more like these are insurance issues rather than business issues to me. read more

I was referred to this dentist office by my mother who visits with my sisters. I really like this dentist office so far. This has got to be my favorite dentist office, out of the many others I've been in and out of. Natalia was amazing, she is full of information and she was very patient with me. My dentist was also great, he was gentle with the hole in my tooth and is going to save my tooth (that was a big plus because another dentist a couple of months ago told me that I would lose the tooth and there was no hope). Crystal is Natalia's assistant and I can say she will take some getting used to. I'm just not too fond of someone complaining about my being tough (while taking X-rays) when they're working on my teeth.. That was a little unsettling BUT she was awesome and was able to get perfect X-rays done. Overall, I think I'm going to stick with this office.. Today was my first visit and I already have a root canal to be done tomorrow! Woohoo! read more

Dr. Laura Moon and her assistant Keisha made me so comfortable explaining the details of the process. My elderly mother visited this dishonest establishment. They are deceiving in they way they charge you with all of a sudden services and charges. They add additional non essential services and charge you! They are thieves. My mother need a crown they took x rays and,so she was told to come back before the crown placement for a cleaning which would be a flat 95.00 dollars under direct dental. Come cleaning time they again want to perform an x ray and my mother tells the hygienist she had the z ray performed already and her response we don't know where they are (they were taken last week) so she takes the x ray and then charges her! I call the manager who is far from helpful who tried to justify this daylight robbery. She is part of this dishonest billing. The manager said something completely different from what the hygienist said. The manger said that, during the first meeting a full x ray was not done so we need to do one! Mind you a full x ray was done the and the hygienist said it is not accessible and, the manager says something else. Bottom line a additional charge of 55$. And this is not the first time they have a habit of making errors in their invoices. This will be my families last visit. The Manager rather than solve the issue justified the thievery. read more

I used County Dental in Suffern for many years because they were on my insurance plan. They have some competent and pleasant people working there and I believe they basically do good work. But I always felt like they were trying to sell me extra services...like they are all working on commission. I have family members who go there and they are getting the same vibe. I've stopped using them and found the atmosphere at other offices seems much more caring and professional. read more

Went there for years because they took my insurance plan. Every time I left there I felt like I had been taken. I needed periodontal cleaning for my gums. After many years and many visit. They could not treat the problem. I would be told I would have to have this done or I needed to start this treatment. I would have to buy this and take that. Oh and the stains on my teeth can't be cleaned unless l have this done. They wanted to pull my two front teeth because I was told I would loose then. Well almost 7 years later I still have them. This office didn't even want to send my dental records to my new dentist. I called a number of times and requested . So did my new dentist. I could go on and on about the inferior work they do.
