Like a boutique of woodworking. Come with an idea of what you want ahead of time. The pros there will assist you with finding the best tools and materials for your project. Prices reflect the quality level you want, and there is a range of options. Clean, well organized, and a lot to take in on a first visit. Ask questions, they have answers. This is a cure for the problems that come with online shopping. read more

I've taken 2 classes at Rockler and had an awesome experience both times. Fletcher is a great instructor, fully reviews the process, tools, and materials. The classes are a great way to check out how to use some of the tools (like a lathe) without have to fully invest in one. I definitely recommend taking a class here. read more

I just moved to San Antonio and didn't know where to go for wood working. Im a beginner and Im not 100% sure what Im doing. A young man named Fletcher helped me out and he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I was a little worried looking at the two reviews but I couldn't have had a better experience. Made my first trip in yesterday to look for a 1/4" shank spoilboard bit for my router. I was greeted when I first walked in so I immediately thought this was going to be a good experience like I always had in the Round Rock store. He asked what I was looking for and I told him, he asked if it was for a router then pointed me towards the side wall where the bits are. After looking at their selection for a couple of minutes walking up and down the wall, you'd expect someone to at least come over and ask if I needed help? By this time there were 3 employees behind the register standing and talking with just as many people in the store including me. I kept walking around looking at other items and still no acknowledgement from the staff. I decided to leave and all I got from them out the door was "thank you for stopping by and have a great day". Usually when a patron leaves empty handed you'd ask if they didn't find what they were looking for at least, not just let them walk out. During my time in retail, I always asked a customer leaving empty handed if they couldn't find their item and 80% of the time I was able to help them and get an item in their hands. Long story short, they get a 2 out of 5 on customer service. I'm definitely making the trip to Woodcraft and bypassing these guys altogether. read more

I dropped in looking for a turning blank. Found what I needed, but when I got to the counter the clerk told me that item had just been brought in from another store and they hadn't yet updated the price. He told me it would be $16.99 instead of the $12.99 clearly marked on the item. I left without buying it. Pretty poor business practice. I asked if he would sell it at the offered price of $12.99 and he just stared at me. read more

When Norton Rockler started the Minnesota Woodworkers Supply Company in north Minneapolis. It was a small mail-order business with a big aspiration - to become woodworkers' go-to resource for everything they need to complete their projects. I did not get mine repaired at the Stihl dealership, instead I fixed it myself. complete waste and the overall reviews for Stihl products is less than a 3.0 with customers experiencing the same issues as I did.

My machine is older and has many many hours of sewing on it as I have a small sewing business and I make four or five quilts a year. It's a drive for us almost 4 hours each way. But I wouldn't let anyone else touch my machine.
